My Stave Bop Kit - First Soundcheck After Reworking

My HM Cherry Stave Bop Kit was recently redesigned by Midmill Drums / Boris Ritscher. The shells were thinned down, a new finish was applied, and the fixing screws were also upgraded. The drums now have a lower fundamental pitch, more attack and sound overall more crisp and airy. First soundcheck in high tuning.
shell sizes:
18" x 12,5" Bass Drum
12" x 8" Tom
14" x 12" Floor Tom
Snare: RBH Prestige Cherry 14"x5,5" steam bent

Boris ist ein wirklicher Künstler unter den Trommelbauern..... er hat klare Vorstellungen und Konzepte, ist aber auch total offen und neugierig für/auf neue Ideen. Seine Trommeln klingen hervorragend!

Really nice. I have a dw kit with 22inch kick. Im considering replacing them with the PDP Bop kit. My only concern is I am also a rock drummer and feel that I may not like the 18in kick. I did see you low tuning video. Im just curious on your thoughts about going with a smaller kit? My toms are 10,12,14 I just have the larger 22in kick.
