I always wondered how the soldier in the background feels when they kiss. Like, they're sith. They aren't known for romance. And to the normal soldier, they have to seem invincible.

This character both makes me feel really good and really bad at the same time. Good because I am a big supporter of homosexuality, (even though I am straight) and I'm glad they are showing how the galaxy far far away has no prejudice against it. It makes me feel bad because I know this will both piss a lot of religious and/or homophobic people off and spark a lot of argument. (Not even bothering to read the other comments because I KNOW how it will turn out)
Yup. My Smuggler is female and bisexual. She's married to Corso, but she kissed Lemda Avesta on Makeb. So...If they would just add a same sex option for my other companions, I could have an orgy with Risha, Corso and Lemda. Not Akaavi though....okay, maybe she can join but I won't be happy about it. lol
Careful there. Vector is a bug head. After your done mating, he might try to bit your head off and lay eggs in your corpse. Lol.
Then again, Vector does have a hypnotic voice. I wouldn't mind becoming a joiner myself. From what I've heard, its pretty peaceful to be part of the nest. And all that membrosia...Don't get me started.
I am also very disappointed with the choices given to the Sith Inquisitor. He's a male, but I'd rather have him go gay for Andronikos (or Andy, as I call him) then that clown fish Jedi.

I was so shocked when I found out I could flirt with a guy. XD Too bad they made it a crappy romance but Vette doesn't seem to lose affection when I flirt with him so I guess she's very open-minded about these things.

Long time passed, but don't blame BioWare - BioWare actually went full steam with gay romances initially, as people found coding for it, but LucasArts made them cut it. It was only later on that they could budge LucasArts enough to let them put in same sex flirts - Cytharat here was the first male on male romance if I recall right. I suspect LucasArts let them squeak it in to test how open the fanbase was and if they could avoid backlash. Which is likely why there's no private time and he isn't overly saucy.

Well I'm glad they did it. Lord Cytharat is totally hot and my main would be more than happy to take him. But its a shame that their's no sex scene even if its just a black out scene. We still know what happened. Also Cytharat seems every flat he doesn't seem to respond to the flirt options. All he needs is a bit of spice and he'd be fine. It would also be nice if the gay options were companions or a least came on your ship. If nothing else than for sex, visit, and maybe a little side mission.
+Roman Gray Yea, that's the only problem is the brevity of the whole experience :/ It was kind of half-assed. I have hopes now that they have a huge expansion coming out (Knights of the Fallen Empire), but I'm prepped for disappointment just in case. I mean, it did take them FOREVER to put this into the game, and it's kind of, erm... Underwhelming.
I do understand your concern and I do agree with you on that it must not be forced on the players. But this romance is not forced on you - quite unlike how the het companion romances kinda are in SWTOR (if you don't actively stop them and telll the npc you want to break up with them the het romances remain active by default). This romance like all the non-companion romance is initiated by you, the player starting the flirting. If you don't do it, nothing happens. How is that forced on you?

Second it doesn't matter if someone is homosexual or heterosexual or bisexual what does matter is that we respect them and treat them as we would treat anyone else. What does it matter what the bible says I mean no disrespect but it was written over 2000 years ago times have changed we are more tolerant. I have many friends who are gay and straight and I treat them the same

I have 4 imp toons : All 3 females had NO flirt option at all, and the only male had all the flirth options (even though I didn'tr selected any during the story). He even got the final kiss option, which I think makes no sense if you haven't flirt with Cytharat before that moment.. Now, I'm searching youtube to find a video where a female imp was able to romance Cytharat :P On Republic side, both male and female could flirt with the female scientist.

I've read it - Malgus treated his Eleena normally. He only killed her when he was forced to choose between her and his ideals. And the whole Darth Angral incident proves that the Sith feel affection for their relatives just like everybody else.
Anyway, my point is the romance with Cytharat is badly written. If the options weren't indicated with [Flirt] I wouldn't have guessed they date each other. He seems completely uninspired and demonstrates no feelings whatsoever.

@@charleenlangley8709 people hate the Skyrim romances because there was literally no writing done. They’re bland as cardboard. Now, I have evolved some in my thinking and definitely prefer when characters have set sexualities nowadays, but Skyrim wasn’t the best example. I’d point to Dragon Age 2 as a more appropriate example.

Katha Niar voice sounds like the one from Morrigan of Dragon Age.
+The “Nate” BlackBane IT is, it's Claudia Black. BioWare uses the same voice actors in pretty much all of their games. Jennifer Hale voices the female in this game, Bastila Shan in KOTOR and female Shepard in Mass Effect, Whoever vices Kaliyo also voices Jack from Mass Effect.

9 years late, but the shitty romance wasn't even BioWare's fault. They wanted same sex romance options from the get go, LucasArts restricted them. Cytharat was basically their thesis to LucasArts to try and convince them to let them add same sex romance. So it *had* to be quick, cheesy, and full of tropes of m/f romance to ensure it had minimal backlash at the time by not being too saucy. And by that I mean the grab and snog after saving Cytharat's life.
That really seemed one sided or I the only one who thinks that??

You should have the right to have eye candy as much as I do. As long as they do not force romance on people. I am perfectly fine with it. I am glad to see there are girl gamers who think some of us guy gamers. Some times the M/F romance is more gay then the lesbian/gay romance. Because it feels odd to date a npc of your same gender.
9 years late, but it's nice having restrictions to romances in games as it gives replayability. Like Dorian in Dragon Age being a gay guy who flirts with even fem Inquisitors, but then confides after a while that he gay, but that he genuinely likes the banter, which gives you the choice to continue friendly flirting with him as your gay bestie. Like it's genuinely wholesome and sweet that even if he doesn't swing your way, he loves the banter and interaction with the fem inquisitor and 100% trusts your char. Likewise, he 100% understands when the fem Inquisitor would rather not friendly flirt, because ofc not everyone is comfortable flirting with friends for banter. Guys get to carry on the flirting to romance, which leads to a 1v1 100% gay romance, which is softer than the bisexual and more hardcore romance with Iron Bull, so guys got 2 options of what they like in terms of guys. Girls actually kinda get shafted in that game lmao, since you got Cullen, who's sweet but going through drug withdrawals bad enough that it could kill him and has him hurling shit at walls. Then you got Blackwall who turns out to have stolen someone else's entire identity, and you gotta put your own bf on trial. Then you have Solas, for fem elves only. Like whoo boi. I mean, just look at the new cinematic vid to see how well *that* goes. Judging by past games, it's a running theme with BioWare that fem love interests - especially mages - will fuck you over in some way or form. Lmao girl romances in BioWare games be like 1) betrayal 2) betrayal 2.0 3) severe issues.
