Klayton said in a recent Ask Celldweller that he does make stories of his music, but not stories that we're meant to follow. The story makes sense in his head and that helps him make his music. We aren't meant to understand it, just enjoy and interpret what it could mean in Klayton's mind.
i know its too late :D but i take it as a mean for making your own story in your head while listening in this case far future with destroyed human worlds by big interplanetary war :D similar to warhammer. i love it :D

Space sauron has the macguffin and is defeated by a second warlord who also wants the macguffin and may or may not be worse than space sauron. The tower is ego. A well-placed blow annihilates it completely and this becomes space sauron's downfall, literally and figuratively.

So my interpretation of the video is basically a rebellion destroying this somewhat dictator or some kind of king. Since he used his powers just to boost his ego, and somehow owning the Sphere of Dreams, he just sat on his own palace not caring for the opposition because there's no need, since they're weak. Well clearly the rebellion decided to act, using it's army and completely destroy the king/emperor. Once he's finally defeated, the leader of the rebellion claims what's rightfully his, The Sheper, and the throne whilst his army mobilize through Ateria. Maybe listening to the factions of Chapter 2: Love might give us some clues, or even Chapter 1. But still I enjoyed the video.

Klayton, you really need to work on your volume leveling across videos. this song comes on so much louder than anything on youtube that when it comes on i have to run over and slam down the volume to avoid damage to my very large and expensive sound system. blows because i really like this song but it has now become a source of anxiety.

I know I'm probably gonna get shit for saying this but.. Am I the only one not impressed with this? I mean don't get me wrong, the drawings/visuals/etc. are beautiful, but there's barely anything going on, and if it's supposed to portray a story, I don't understand what the story is supposed to be about. I personally feel disappointed because I think of the music video for Switchback and I'm like .-. Why is there a total lack of action here? It just feels really slow compared to the pace of the song and stuff.

The thing is celldweller is an underground producer so to do things better than this would cost a lot of money, the same thing happened with unshaekable music video, it's just not there... but that doesnt mean he can't appreciate his group of faithful fans that enjoy his work. :)

celldweller probably payed for this, or his producers; as opposed to having people who like the music do animations, produce the content and cross promote (for ad views) with an additional 3 prizes (1/4 of money pool to third place, 1/3 to seccond place, and the rest to first place).
the story told is about a vain dictator, and some revolting robot shoots missiles at a space elevator. it has very literal imagery about the succession of humanity by machines, and the passing of the dark torch of power. machines envy social power for reasons, and dislike the pinnacle of human accomplishment for other reasons. a variety of lyrical themes are dropped entirely, like having fingers in the dirt.
In my head I always put this song with Death Note
"Klayton is Celldweller" and the merch thing at the end ruined the video.
Other than that it was one of the weaker videos you've done.
But definitely one of the best songs you've written.

Not to hate here, I adore Celldweller music, but the lyrics are annoying... I'm not the one finding the lyrics to be just a bunch of envious whining nonsense? The instrumentals and sound design is really well done and enjoyable, but there is nothing in those lyrics that I can connect or relate with, It's just awful... I've been holding this for a long time, and I just wanted it to get off my chest.

How does one interpret these videos?
Context of the video is in the lyrics. The song is about somebody who's pretentious and narcissistic and being set back by learning that they're not at all what they believe they are, and you can see where the video is coming from with that idea.
Can't do the same though for Lost in Time, because Lost in Time is not only a kind of poorly written song, but the music video also has nothing to do with the song other than a convenient title for a joke about dinosaurs.
