What do you think is the most iconic Beach Boys song?
Though I've never been a big fan of the Beach Boys, I always did like Sloop John B.
Good Vibrations
Wouldn’t it be Nice!
20 minute version of Shortin' Bread.
DON'T WORRY BABY ❣️
Despite his challenges, Wilson's resilience shines through his prolific work and the love he shared with his late wife, Melinda.
I feel so sad for everything Brian has gone through, not only in recent years but also throughout the rest of his life…. I can only wish him the best and be grateful he’s still taking part in the thing he loves, the music.
We love you Brian
He has always been my hero. His gentle soul and fragility compounded with an amazing gift, that gift came with a price. He had a tough life, being physically abused by his father, constantly exploited and then basically held captive...I got a chance to see him in 2021 and he used a walker to get out to the stage and he really didnt play much but we were fortunate enough that he was having a good day because he sang his heart out and interacted with the crowd a bit more than he usually would. God bless Brian Wilson.
You didnt mention releasd in 2021 "At My Piano"
it is an awesome wonderfull album
No I didn't hear that
I saw Brian and Al when they toured with Chicago in 2022 (two days before his 80th). He sounded great with the group and it was the most amazing concert that I have ever seen.
YOU CAN NEVER TAKE THE TAG "GENIUS" AWAY FROM BRIAN WILSON 👍🏻😎
Shame on me for not knowing about his wife's death and his decling mental health. Very saddened by this...as if he hasn't been through enough. 🙏
Wish a better mental health for The upcoming album ❤🎉
He will be lost now that his wife Melinda Ledbetter has passed.
I saw what was left of this sad soul in 2022. He was already lost. They basically plopped him on stage and he sat there in what I can only describe as a catatonic state. Sad.
I have followed The Beach Boys for a very long time, and read some of the books about them. The truth is that Mike Love, often hated, was partly right: the drugs were dangerous and destructive - and Van Dyke Parks, and others like him, were largely to blame. Brian became, in effect, a paranoid schizophrenic (not uncommon with LSD); it ended the SMiLE project, it ended the group as a cohesive whole, it ended Brian's marriage to Marilyn. I cherish the musical creations of Brian Wilson, and I grieve for what he has suffered, but it is also true that he damaged others, including his cousin, Mike Love, his primary lyricist during the early period that gave them the success which afforded Brian the opportunity to experiment in the studio. The major fallout - long before Eugene Landy - was that Brian's father and Mike's uncle, Murray, defrauded them of their song catalog by selling it cheaply without their knowledge and consent. Mike Love was devastated. I am in the minority in empathizing to some extent with how much Mike Love suffered because of Brian Wilson's addiction and derangement.
People have no business piling on Mike Love. What did he ever do to them? Whatever beef he had with Brian was mainly on a business level-it wasn't really on a personal level. Murry Wilson was to the Beach Boys what Colonel Tom Parker was to Elvis. Cripes, people, just let the Mike Love hate go after all these years. Does it really matter now?
@@ValleyoftheRogue - Well put 🙂
@ValleyoftheRogue No it doesn't. Never did. You can't put shit back in the donkey.😊
oh män, I feel so sad right now
Hopefully he’s okay
Poor guy
I saw them live, last year. He was a mute in a wheelchair.
You are late to the party. We know about the dementia diagnosis. We can hope he can stave off its ravages as long as possible. The poor man can't catch a break.
Brian is clearly touched by the hand of God.
Oh

he sorta looks and talks like michael j fox
A friend of mine was a security guard for them when they came to play at the Minnesota State Fair over 25 years ago and he was handed a $100 bill and told to get the cheapest beer and booze possible
He won't make it to 2025.
And again fame sucks
I thought that was a young Donald Trump in the thumbnail lol
That's because Brian Wilson is still laying in bed
Brian Wilson is extremely overrated
Why do you think that?
@@purevycara okay I get it, Brian Wilson did a lot of things for the Beach boys, but, he spent a majority of his formulative years being depressed not giving much to music and just living off his legacy. That being said I'm sure in his later years he has realized this and he has done some very good things.
@@pete1128 I think most of that had to with his undiagnosed mental illnesses, childhood trauma, constantly being taken advantage of, and not having emotional security until the 90s. While it's true that he didn't put out a lot of music for most of the 70s-90s, he gave us an unbelievable amount of amazing music in the 60s alone that he really didn't have anything left to prove. I respect your opinion though 👍
Ok duly noted
Go play your Taylor Swift records and learn what overrated means.
*It's because he's become catatonic*
