I could never fully explain how I feel when I hear your songs but it hits me with the same feeling of being a kid watching old cartoon network shows way past my bedtime and those music video commercials come on like the mojo jojo version of everybody wants to rule the world
In 2:07 I just thought: "it's just a bridge, no way he can play that and sing at the same time", then u just sang... Fuck bro, it's a big injustice that u have only 74k of subs, you deserve a lot more and I'm sure you will get there! And well, I think your song 'Notice', has a giant potential to be an hit song, cuz' you mixed up a "pop" melody with your own style, it's my favorite, months ago I used to hear in loop without even get tired and I still can do it... You are a genius, never doubt that!!! :D
Three year ago, during my prog-metal fixation, this channel was my gateway into understanding Math Rock (Midwest Emo), developing a taste for cleaner tones and discovering bands I may not have given a chance otherwise because they didn't have a heavy crunchy sound. Which in turn lead me to trying new tunings, voicings and techniques. Amazing to see how much talent you have manifested.
Been a subscriber for about two years, but just realized I’ve never commented. You’re an incredible musician, songwriter, thinker, etc. Keep up the great work.
Didn’t realize you put an acoustic version first, I really prefer where you play that main riff a bit slower and more in tune with the high hat muting, but that’s a guitarist thing we always like to play faster by ourselves hahaha. But so so so good
Bro, I love you so much (No homo). Dude your unique sound, diverse singing voice, your choice of lyrics and uncanny, awesome and technical guitar skills is unparalleled. You make this world a better place every time you upload your music. Whether it be your originals or covers. You a beautiful gift to this world. Btw, if you get chance to read this, could you cover The Cure's Caterpillar Girl and add your unique sound to it? Thanks Cory and Nulberry for all you do for us. Cheers!
It has been added to my notepad of potential song ideas. It usually takes me a while to decide if its impossible to "me" up a song, but the drums on that one gave me a lot of ideas. Not making any promises, but I'll try. (although I do already have one I'm working on for my next video)
@@CoryLottSucks Thanks Cory, you're the best and no matter what song you decide to bring us, I know that it will be fire... Hot like lava. Have an awesome day, you deserve it.
With other musicians you’ll get a “Stop This Train” one day and a “Your Body is a Wonderland” the next. Everything Cory puts out is truly inspired and has feeling. Love it.
This is fucking BEAUTIFUL. One of your best. You are the most talented guitarist I know, and the fact you can sing on top of it hitting the angelic high to low notes is incredible.
One of my philosophies is I don’t believe in talent, but rather that hard work and efficient practice are the keys to mastering any skill. But this makes me believe in talent lol. Really extraordinary!
That’s one of my philosophies too! I always found that the concept of talent sort of devalues the incredible amount of work put into being good at something. Although, hearing you preface your statement that way makes the compliment feel very meaningful. Thanks, it really means a lot 😁
Holy cow, I am so lucky to have found your music! Thank you for what you do! Also, for the fans. 2:07 when Cory's doing the hard parts. Needs to gather the power to sing while he does it, note the tremors in his face and eyes rolling back into his head as he goes super saiyan
I think you're very talented at blending your lyrics with the melody! Love the sock wrap for the two handed tapping too lol it's totally your vibe and your shit sounded cleeeeeeeean
“Twelve dollars?! Yeah, I’ve got some laundry that could probably do the same job.” Thanks so much btw. I love writing vocal melodies to my more complex guitar songs. It’s like a fun little puzzle finding where my voice can fit.
At the part with the fast tapping I had to rewind it and look at your mouth singing because I coudn't believe. WOW. And keeping a perfect tempo! Blows my mind, you are a genious!
Corey I dont know if people tell you this enough, but you're an incredible songwriter. Truly something else. Really, the guitar and vocal work is outstanding, but the songwriting is on another level
Once again falling in love with your writing style both lyrically and instrumentally! I love how mobile every tonal line is, it's like a ballroom of dancers and then it picks up more than I thought it could, amazing job holding all the pieces in places for a seemingly pretty difficult song at parts!
Man this is so cool. Honestly, youre such a big inspiration for me. Makes me wanna try extra hard to learn more theory and practice techniques and stuff! Your music sounds so otherworldy and just full of so many cool riffs. Been listening to your songs on repeat lol. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks! That sock wrap is the real star of the show. I can't believe an actual fret wrap is like $12(USD). That's an expense I will likely never incur.
Started playing guitar during lockdown a year ago and you inspired me to keep trying hard to get better. Your music is absolutely amazing. I guess you get asked this under every other video but can you recommend anything for starting to practice your style of playing? Love your content, never stop :)
The way I developed it was I started writing music outside of my comfort zone. I thought that tapping and playing really riffy stuff sounded cool, so I’d just try to write songs where I was doing stuff like that. Experiment and go really slowly. Try to find notes you think go together well, and then worry about the tempo and timing of playing those notes. Timing in and of itself is incredibly important. Writing something that is rhythmically interesting can really help make something feel more intricate/technical than it really is. An old piece of advice I heard was to simply listen to and copy the cadence of a conversation. Pay close attention to someone talking, write down a sentence they’ve said and then tap out the accents. You might find it ends up being in some weird time signature like 13/8 or something. The thing is, it’ll feel significantly less awkward trying to write in that weird time signature if you’re just saying the sentence in your head rather than trying to count out the 13 eighth notes.
The music industry sucks, man. It's being polluted with auto tune and fake talent. It's taking all the attention, and leaving none for real artists like you. Keep on playing no matter what, you deserve more.
Hey been listening to your music a for a while and have only been able to find the album a dragonfly or something are you uploading your music to apple music if so what is your artist title. Edit I've been looking up nulberry and that's where I found the songs that I could.
@@CoryLottSucks Ok thank you love the music. So inspiring for someone who is still in the intermediate stages of guitar playing love seeing the talent that can come from it.
This sounds like what I'd hear in a stoned as fuck fever dream.
I always get really weird with it when I write songs after a bottle of wine, that’s when the fever dream side of me comes out 😂
@@CoryLottSucks very interesting to say the least.
OMFG! I felt he was playing for 20 minutes… that song is 🤌🏽
when he gets to the amateur architect part, he hits the most cracked out riffs I have ever heard
Fact: Nulberry gets better the more you listen to it.
When you grow up (like me) you will know that if you are listening here it’s cause you have been very good. Deserving, grateful fan.
I’m glad you chose the moral high ground in enough of life’s situations to lead you here 😜
How you can play something so technically complex and sing at the same time is beyond me. Mind blown!
Remember this words all you People in this comments section: this guy will fill stadiums.
My friend, what you do is pure. It is really touching
I’d be pretty stoked to fill a bar honestly 😂

the vocal melody mixed w/ the tappies @ "but that's where you'll find me" just sends my heart into overdrive. Thank u so much for ur music
Holy smokes! This is ridiculously great! How does Nulberry not have a couple million subscribers?
