    Boxing is a sport and a business and AJ is an olympic gold medalist he won a world title in his 16th pro fight, he has defended it 5 times in 2yrs, has 5 of the titles and has KO’D or stopped every opponent apart from Parker, he has become a millionaire and still so called fans criticise this young man and his achievements.

      I don't understand this 5 titles talk about AJ. Pls explain...
      Far as I know there are 5 titles in the HW division (4 majors and the under respected IBO strap). AJ now has 4 which includes the IBO and Wilder has the WBC. The only other award I know of is the ring magazine award that Fury still holds close to his heart as lineal champion.

    • @upHeaTgg
      @upHeaTgg 6 років тому +1

      Immaculate Dirtz nope, fury doesn’t hold that now, stripped in February. It’s a vacant belt now so I see it coming in on possible wilder vs AJ or fury AJ

      Cool I didn't know that, but that doesn't explain the talk that AJ has 5 belts?? I've seen someone else say it somewhere too. Am I missing something?

    AJ's speech was word-perfect; balanced, fair, modest, gracious, and objective. He has matured as a thinker and as a speaker. His scope of thought has a kind of statesman-feel about it - he feels he is part of history at the moment it is happening. Bad luck to Gentleman Joe Parker. AJ was the more skilled man on the night. Respect. Australia

    • @jamescarpenter6585
      @jamescarpenter6585 6 років тому +19

      Freddie Mills oh wow whatever... the ref was crap but no way did it favour Joshua.... that fight was a landslide. Parker showed movement and style but mostly flicked his jab onto Joshua’s gloves... AJ commanded the ring, blocked jabbed and controlled the fight against a well schooled opponent. Get over it... Two great boxers, one clear winner... 21 fights, 20 KOs, 4 belts... reality please!

    Congratulations AG, it wasn't the knockout explosive war Parker wanted because you outboxed him in a tactical fashion. It's not called boxing for nothing. All these keyboard wannabes have no idea how hard you train or what you have to go through to stay at the top and continue to stay disciplined at the same time. Well done Anthony - thumbs up from me

    congrats to AJ fans for a big win. but i must say that British media is terrible. the commentary team was hard to listen to. they gave no slack to Parker who had a good fight, they even were putting down all his efforts, downgrading him. that is not fair. the referees were terrible - cards were nowhere near to the reality, Carl Froch's unofficial scorecard was hilarious and points he made were disrespectful. i am extremely disappointed because British media when neutral is super professional and awesome to get information and entertainment from.

    Good on AJ. Everyone’s bitchin about the lack of excitement (I understand to a degree because it is the HW division) but I put the blame mostly on the ref. Buddy kept breakin em up before they could even get to work.

      Shut the fuck up! The ref didn't prevent these two pussies do anything.. Joshua had him in a headlock every tie up!! How are they supposed to work thru that??!!! Seriously what fight were u watching,,, there was maybe a handful of tie ups where it could have been worked out of,, but Joshua was grabbing arms and heads almost every time and vice versa... This fight was horrible,, Joshua doesn't deserve the pay days he is getting,, and after that performance he definitely doesn't deserve the biggest fight for a heavyweight title unification in YEARS!!! Doesn't deserve that at all,,, Wilder put a stamp on his last fight with the pressure of talking about Joshua the entire time!! An Joshua fought knowing the judges would give him every round if there was no action an so if it was a boring ass close round by both, Joshua knew those all would go to him... He did not win by 119-109 AT ALL.. where the fuck was ten full points more of damage an landed punches an defense etc... He didn't do shit to get that score, an Parker didn't do shit but deserves a shit score!!

  • @86lanzo

    So Parkers strategy essentially negated AJs right hand.......wonder how wilder would've done in that situation....AJ had to rely on a solid jab and good fundamentals........Wilder would've still just tried to forced the right hand to work.....wonder if it would've worked...or he would've fallen into parkers traps..

      that's one way to look at it...its interesting because seeing wilder caught by an old slow Ortiz with a counter that rocked him made me think AJ could cause him some big troubles....being super aggressive v AJ hasn't shown to be a good tactic he's very good at counters...its another one of those fights that's its hard to tell how it was gonna go...who guest AJ v Parker would be so controlled and boring

      Orlanzo Telfer to be fair to Parker though he was a difficult opponent to pin down and made it difficult for Joshua to get his shots off. I think if Joshua nullified Wilders power swings then he will win on good boxing fundamentals. It's a big if though in my opinion as even Parker had him wobbling a bit in the fight.

    The referee was terrible. He is breaking up the fighters and stopping the action but doesn't stop to fix the tape hanging off AJ glove. Actually at one point Joshua had to take the tape off himself. Ridiculous.

    Gotta be honest, Joshua's been working this humble-down-to-earth persona for quite a while now, but the arrogance is there and its really off putting. The simple truth is that both him and Hearn know that the Wilder fight will be the MOST dangerous of Joshua's career and will likely end his reign. Once he looses to Wilder his stock value will plummet and the public persona will crumble. His days as champion are numbered.

      If I were him I would avoid Wilder as long as possible... fight all the povetkins, pulevs, and whytes I could find and make another 100 mil doing it. Wilder has the height advantage, the reach advantage, excellent stamina, and excellent recovery time. Above all, he is a supremely gifted autodidact - he's awkward as hell, and capitalizes on every opening/opportunity faster than anyone else above 160lbs. Oh did I mention his right hand?

    Most people say how boring this fight was but to me as an avid boxing follower, I found it very entertaining. AJ was extremely professional and did exactly what he had to do and nothing more in order to get the job done successfully. He understood the strengths and the weaknesses of a potentially dangerous opponent and in my opinion showed what a good boxer AJ can be. If AJ decided to fight Parker, then Parker may well have taken out AJ the same way Povetkin beat David Price. AJ has incredible all round ability and if he can keep his mindset on track there is no reason why he can't become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

      SEIFER69 uppercuts on the inside are one of AJ's best weapons (see Klitschko fight) and the reach advantage is only useful if the opponent allows you to use it. Parker kept him out of range and moved well looking for counters if AJ overcommitted, so he hasn't got it backwards

    • @ssteacup

    Eddie Dishonest Hearn...and Joshua Deluded.... The referee was stopping Parker fight, Joshua was holding a lot, Joshua was using elbows and strangle tactics and hitting on the break and holding and hitting... Joshua was troubled by Parkers movement and speed and was clearly worried about getting knocked out. Parker had Joshua in trouble but referee and suspicious unsticky tape saved him. Apart from possibly bribed or pre-coached referee, judges were a Joke, Parker was landing more early and lost by two rounds at most in my view...but he should have really pressed more with feints and combos as he could have knocked the worried Joshua out, and he was gassing on his big muscles as usual. Lots of spin and nonsense being spoken after this fight...and Sky commentators are a joke too, Joshua's opponents are invisible to them.
