I quite often walk the paths that you were nearby in this video and I've wondered how many weapons are sitting at the bottom of the river. You've shown me that this is probably just the tip of the iceberg! So many hidden walking paths under bridges in the Lansing area. Thank you for cleaning up the rivers and potentially helping solve crimes!
This looks like so much fun! As a native Detroiter, I can only imagine the amount of guns you've found! Years ago I watched the D.P.D. Dive team in the Detroit river come up with about 50 guns in 30 minutes! It was CRAZY!
@@MotorCityMagnetFishers It shows! Its really a win/win too! You are cleaning are nasty waterways, that COULD be beautiful, helping to solve crimes, and finding lots of weird goodies! I APPRECIATE the cleaning of the waters! So, Thank You! I would love to come watch you guys sometime!
Found you by your YT short -regarding the chained body. I just subscribed too - because this channel looks great for winding down at bedtime. ❤ Thank you for cleaning up our waters, and helping LE.
You might be able to restore that cast iron skillet. Depending on how old it is, it could be worth some money. There's lots of people out there who restore them.
Some of those guns i know are probably to old to find out anything about them but you know all the guns in that river are there for some shady reason for sure.
@MotorCityMagnetFishers yes it is Soviet Era TT-30, also known as the Tokarev introduced in 1930, can shoot in two chambers 7.62x25mm Tokarev (most common) Also chambered in 9mm Parabellum if I had to guess in modernized versions 🤷♂️
Great video with Lots of cool finds. Thanks for cleaning up the water. Side note. Also with a star is Makarov 9mm. Which i read is "almost" a copy of a german walther pp..
Don’t have second thoughts. Give it a try for a few weeks. I thought it would be a short lived hobby but here I am a year later 17 guns under my belt do to speak working with a great friend. Just keep trying. It’s an awesome hobby.
Hard to say. Fortunately I think I have only had to pull about 10-15 out. Some friends of ours over at venture Dulow have the market cornered on those.
The Police chased the suspect into the park and the suspect threw the gun in the water before they appended him. The Police told us the gun was in there but they were looking about 200 yards away from where we found it
I know that bombsquad guy 😂 He told me "no, you cant keep the rocket" 🤣 75mm ww1 shrapnel round for anyone wondering what the ordnance in the video is. We need to plan another day to meet up and clean out a spot

Looks like SpongeBob has been frying up his crabby patty's 😂
What do you do with all the trash you pull out?
You have the stovetop and oven door, so where’s the rest of the stove? 😂
We scrap what can be recycled. I’m sure it’s down there. That bridge was full of stuff.
@@muck-n-nailsmagnetfishing: Thanks for the answer! Enjoying the videos!
We never found the rest but we did find burners for at least three different stoves

I found this channel the exact same way. It's one a.m. and I'm binge watching this channel right now. Love it.
I found it last night, same way, too!! That poor dog….absolutely horrific.

Yall making me wanna go magnet fishing 😂
You really should. It is a lot of fun

Sounds about right.
Evacuate the area, it's gonna blow 😂
Hard to believe just how ignorant and trashy humans are to waterways. Sheesh. So lazy and uncaring. thanks for all of the clean up.

I would name that bridge, Bicycle Bridge! 😂
It's elm street so we named it nightmare
Man those shovels probably burried so many bodies
Awesome video guys watched all the way to the end wow! So many guns and other goodies
We appreciate you!
Thank you sir
From Ohio here....was there ever a conviction with the gun you found?! What crime was connected with it? Great job guys!
Oh, man. What a day! I miss getting out there and doing that stuff.

The Star Model BM is a single-action semi-automatic pistol that fires the 9 mm Parabellum pistol cartridge.
Is that the same as a Tokarev?

The one in a sock wasn’t suspicious to you???
Of course it was but thats not the first, second or third gun inside of a sock I have found
you can bring back that cast iron like it's brand new dude......gotta burn it off!!!!
I told him the same thing.
You did not!

Why do you only call the police for some guns and not all? They might be looking for a gun that's 100 years old? 😂
We turn all of the handguns in. Police interaction isn’t always very exciting.
💯
I’m across the river in Windsor and would like to try this on my side of the border. I doubt I’d find as man guns however, still seems fun.
It’s great you should try. You may be surprised by what you find.

It's a Tokarev
Yep, that looks like a tokarev. 7.62x25 I think.
Thank you
Yes it was a Tokarev. And the old revolver was a Forehand and Wadsworth.
Thank you for the identification
Lansing PD are the best.
They really are
They are awesome
Y’all should really look into rust removal using electrolysis. You could expose some serial numbers that you might not have thought attainable.
I have a home made electrolysis tank. It works ok but we turn in the firearms
The police said they can use X-rays to find the serial numbers too.
I just wonder how many of the knives, axes, pipes, machetes and such are also murder weapons not to mention the guns.
Sock gun😂
It's not the first, second or third gun I have found that was in a sock.....still waiting to find a Glock in a Sock

Let’s be real though…every weapon these guys find are probably murder weapons. Why else would someone throw a gun or knife into a river?
I swore the last time I looked at ur subscriber count it said 4 or 5k now it’s 158k that’s wild
That would be correct. It’s been a wild couple of weeks.
Yeah it has been crazy. Now the next goal is 1 million....we never thought we would hit 10K let alone 160K

How many of those e scooters have you found in total!? Crazy
Hard to say. Fortunately I think I have only had to pull about 10-15 out. Some friends of ours over at venture Dulow have the market cornered on those.
I dont think we ever thought to keep count of scooters. Already lost track of bicycles
Have you hit the Red Cedar river yet?
Makarov?
Most of this video was the Red Cedar River. It turned out to be a Tokarev
@@MotorCityMagnetFishers Thank you all for taking out the trash. Lansing was something... 45-50 yrs ago.

Yes one of the guys that comes with us takes it in.
Tell me about the magnet you use?? I want to start doing this
What do you do with the stuff you pull out???
The interesting stuff we are allowed to keep we often clean it up. Most of it goes to the scrap yard.
Scrap most
Wow
any updates on the gun case? i hope it helped
We next to never find out anything about the weapons we turn in.
75% of these items i guarantee are murder weapons my opinion.
