just watched this one. Really nice. I could live there if not for the heat. That big square over the dining table is a fan that servants would pull back & forth.
If that’s the plantation that sit in the middle of south Baton Rouge on Nicholson I used to live on River road and drive past it all the time. It always fascinated me. I used to live in White Castle/Dorseyville near the nottoway plantation as well. It always rubbed me the wrong way then and it still does now, when I realized white people were renting them out for events and an air bnb’s.
The whole southside of br neighborhood was plantations for slaves. I have pictures of how many slaves it was in this area of the city. The stuff they dont want people to know about.
Very interesting to see the difference in architecture styles down there, looking forward to the next stop!! Thanks!!
Thanks! ...and LOTS more to come
Love that big Live Oak tree and can't wait to see your other videos from this area

Your 'pop-goes-the-weasel spinner', is a yarn winder. The yarn was created on the spinning wheel, then wound on the winder, to create a skein of yarn.
Ah, thanks for the information. Will try to point that out the next time I see one.
I'm an old house and antique lover. And I'm old. I enjoy your tours, because you're so enthusiastic, and informative. You're right up my alley!
