Daily videos? What a treat! I need all the cheerfulness I can get right now, so thank you for the generous offering. Very best wishes to you, Jenny & Eva.
I think of you every time I dribble the last of my custard mix onto the last French toast slices as they fry up. I remember you doing that years ago in a video. These stuffed french toasts look beautiful, festive, and delicious! I'm really looking forward to these daily videos!
Uhh....we sang it in primary school too in Hungary. Only, we are famous for horrible translations. All that about sugar got translated into: "Let's go, marry Poppins said to smile. You have to smile, don't forget to smile. Let's go, marry Poppins said to smile with heart and soul" I kid you not. So I got PTSD from that line. Lol
"The absence of sizzle" I think that's how I would describe my life right now. Thanks for a lovely video. Very much looking forward to the rest of the series.
I got my dad watching Shrimp after my mum died last year… he likes to update me on what his “internet friend” said this week. I don’t tell him I know because I watch the videos too. The coin video is his favourite. I was so lost when Mum died because I didn’t know how to comfort Dad and I know UA-cam can never make things better, but these videos made him smile and engage with the world during the worst time of his life.
@@kitm141So so hard losing a loved one. They say time heals,,,,that is total crap. You just learn to deal with the changes. I’m happy your Dad has found something to keep him busy and you too. I’ve lost both parents, my 10 year old daughter and my wife in a 7 year period. Working is what keeps me sane. You and your Dad take care and be safe.
Very charming idea, I'll be looking forward to each new episode. Thanks so much for making the Christmas season that much more jolly! I just hope that you do not burn yourself out by making so many videos in such a short time. I'm sure you have already considered all that, though, so just wanted to say that the workload you have taken on is not unnoticed or unappreciated.
Will it might just be a parasocial relationship, I hope it's not strange to say that I'm genuinely happy to have you and your videos in my life, Shrimp.
You are one of a few people that make my day brighter! Thanks for your warmth and friendliness. It is a balm in this rugged world. You, Jenny and Ava make this a better place to live.
My husband doesn’t do a lot of cooking and he always describes rosemary as “the one that tastes like Christmas trees.” So you’re right, Shrimp, it’s a very similar flavor, even to those not super familiar with lots of spices! These sandwiches look heavenly!
thank you so much for this shrimp. i just worked two terrible days at work (black friday and day after, taking people's orders to their cars), and we're open until 12am now through christmas. coming home to this every night during the retail nightmare that is The Holiday Season is exactly what i need. bless your heart 💛
Thank you a million times for all you do to keep people's orders flowing and the greatest respect to you for keeping your cool with the sometimes truly horrid people you have to deal with. Merry Christmas to you and all those you care for ❤️.
This is such a lovely idea; thank you for being so kind as to think of something as enjoyable as this. No matter what's going on in my life, your online company always makes good things better, and bad times much less bothersome. God bless you, Jenny, Eva, and all those who are dear to you.❤
Thank you for doing this Mr Shrimp. I recently emigrated from the UK to Australia and this is my first Christmas away from home, friends and family. I know that to some the idea of a Christmas on the beach in 35° weather is heaven, and I'm grateful to be here - but I'm really pining after home winter comforts. Give me socks on the radiator, a cold pint in a warm pub, homemade mince pies in front of some crap on the telly. This feels like a daily slice of home just exactly when I needed it, so thank you so much 🙏
Depending on where you are in Australia, you still might get your wish! I can remember Christmases where the fire was on and we were grateful of hot dinner and a hot Christmas pud. Wishing you all the best for your first Australian Christmas!
Thank you for the cozy feeling. ❤Missing church today, not feeling well and I appreciate you so so much.❤ You and your lovely wife who loans you out to us, are the best.
Heading to church in the next hour as I write this - don't know if you happen to be Anglican like me but I heard somebody say recently "a wonderful thing about the prayer book is that if you miss some days you can know many others around the world prayed them for you." I think that applies to church in general, and if it feels right, know that I've brought you with me today and will pray you feel better. - Sarah from Canada
Will Slaughter Valley be showing us their festive side too? The glory of their holiday lights in wonderous greyscale would certainly be a sight to behold!
oh I loved that. Normally I struggle to feel the christmas cheer, but that was really nice. Looking forward to having a daily pick-me-up for the next few weeks. Thank you Shrimp :D
I dont feel Christmas at all these days. It starts being advertised in October and it is all about buying cheap tat and endless eating of artificial foods... This video is nice.
What a beautiful gift! Our twenty-five days of Christmas are off to a delicious start. Nothing better to give us courage to start another cycle. Thank you, Sir Shrimp, or should I say Father Shrimp? 🎄🦐🎄
My grandad ( ex chef ) would make a bunch of Dundee cakes and Christmas puddings every year for the family before Christams and then drip feed them brandy everyday for a couple of weeks . Watching your video , I can almost smell the cake tin our one came in lol Lots of memories . Thanks Mr Shrimp .
In our family "not bad" (or "not too bad") is the highest of praise. It translates to "could not be improved". I'm not sure if that's a 'South England', 'West of London', 'UK' or 'just our family' thing.
If my dad says something is good, it's good. If he says it's ok that means never make him eat that again. I think he would like the mince pie/French toast Festive Breakfast Sandwich. It's all things he likes!
What a lovely surprise, and thank you for all your efforts with Atomic Advent. This has cheered me up - it's the first Christmas after my mother passed away, and frankly, I've been struggling a bit. This is the first thing that has made me look forward to the season, so thank you x.
Thank you for the reminder that many of the things that “say Christmas” have little to do with acquiring more. The tastes, the smells, the “feels”. I look forward to the rest of your advent!
Lovely surprise video! A lot of bought mincemeat is incredibly sweet, it's gloop with added fruit. Delia Smith's recipe for homemade mincemeat has a message from Delia as a warning that once you make it yourself you'll never want the bought stuff again. This is so true. I make 2 large bowls every year and any that's left over after Christmas gets used to stuff baked apples throughout the year.
@@chezmoi42 When I can't be bothered making a proper pudd I heat up the sweet supermarket pancakes in a frying pan (no oil or butter or they stick, perversely) then add a spoon of homemade mincemeat, heat it a little more, then roll them up. Served with cream of course!
This brought a memory to mind: A long time ago, my family moved to New Orleans just before Christmas, and we were charmed to discover that "eggy toast" was known locally as Lost Bread. Though we only lived in the city for a year, I've called it Lost Bread ever since.
Thank you so much for doing these. It’s a very dark December for me this year so this is very welcome. I really appreciate it. Merry Christmas to you, Jenny and Eva.
Wow! What a great surprise! I didn't see this coming. Gonna be awesome, Mike! Thank you very much!!!!!!! You've made my Christmas season so much more fun already! Can't wait to see all that is in store. 🎄 My grandparents used to make mincemeat pie for Christmas, and included suet. All us kids were very disinterested because of the name. I do remember tasting it and liking it, but still being turned off by the idea of meat in dessert. Just too weird for kid me. Haha.
What an amazing idea to start that kind of Advent calendar on UA-cam! Especially when day’s surprise is French toast elevated to the next level. Thank you Atomic Shrimp!🎄💕
Go on, admit it, that was Jenny in the garden with the chainsaw and woodchipper. I guess a girl needs a way to get rid of those pesky sulphate salesmen who turn up on Sunday's.
Such a cheerful meal! I'm thinking let the rosemary warm a bit in the oil before dropping the breakfast sandwiches! Nice! Thanks for this idea! Love from the Pacific Northwest!❤
What a lovely surprise! One video a day is such a treat, so thank you very much. A walk in the woods is a great payment for carbs, almost its own treat. :)
I just realised that I’ve never seen what you look like before. Until now. I’ve always enjoyed your voice dialect. I guess my brain just sort of accepts that most UA-camrs are disembodied voices. Sometimes with hands in view or an animated representation. It’s a fun Christmas surprise to put a face to your voice! 🎄 I wanted to say that you look different from what I had imagined, but then I realised that I hadn’t imagined you as a human person. Just a personality and a voice 😅 Thanks for your content 👌 I wish you a wonderful Christmas season ♡
I’ve had some really bad christmases in my life and have grown to hate the season because of it but I’m slowly doing exposure therapy with videos like yours, it’s slow progress but progress nonetheless
Hope the advent calendar gives you some good memories and some ideas to try to give yourself some treats. Mike is so positive and creative, plus has such a nice voice and manner about him, that I'm sure you'll feel better after watching. Hope this holiday is good for you. 🎄

What a nice way to start the Christmas season! Looking forward to the rest of the videos. I may have to make this sandwich as a holiday treat for the family.
