If i dont have a filter for my betta, would i need bigger water changes? 5.5 gal tank so 50% water change? And would i use suction pump to clean the gravel?
Does the 1g per 1 inch of fish go for ghost shrimp as Well? I'm struggling to find out how many ghosts I can put in my established 10g. I do have 1 Cory in there but as soon as my 30g tank gets done cycling o am moving him. So it would be the ghosts and plants. Thanks!
Jasmin Faircloth Shrimp have a very small bioload. You can keep a lot more of them in a smaller space than you can fish. According to "theshrimpfarm.com" they say up to 10 shrimp per gallon, so a 10 gallon tank can take up to 100, but that would seem a bit overkill to me, lol.
Aubrey Perrette Should work with a properly setup 5 gallon, meaning it is cycled, has a filter and right temp. They are generally hardy, but can easily die from too much nitrate faster than fish.
Can they go safely with guppies?
boscoitalics Yes they can
The best part of the video was the bird singing in the background at the end... 🐦
I did a video about ghost shrimp, it applies to other kinds of shrimp too.
cool video :)
Mark's Fish Keeping UK Thanks:)
Mine never last more than 1 week. I feed them bottom feeder pellets but they always go whiteish then die
Chewy's Bro Aquatics Mine tend to do that to, I think it is from too high of nitrate in water.
Hickster58 maybe
I buy them by the hundreds... never had them last more than a day... they're feeders.
RIPPER334 yeah they are just a weak species
.20 for 1 at thatfishplace

Does someone know if I can put some ghost shrimp in a 3 gallon tank??
Yes you can.

Hades The Betta I would do water changes more often, 20% once or twice a week with treated water.
U should probably get a Filter

Can you keep my them in a 1 or 2 gallon?
Aubrey Perrette Technically yes, but I would recommend a larger tank.
Hickster58 thank you! Will a 5 gallon be a good choice for about 5
