Never seen any of your stuff before (looks like you're a racer who's just starting to do UA-cam?) but was looking into the different SRS archetypes and found your video. This is really well done, super informative and extremely clear. I think I'm going to go try to get the Hardcore achievements done using the Tri Elemental SRS Guardian! In the meantime, I hope you put out some more stuff, this was really excellent!
Really nice video! I did a HCSSF run with SRS Guardian over this past weekend for fun, so this was a timely video to come across. Unfortunately I died in a yellow map due to my low phys mitigation. I'm probably going to play one of these builds next league.
What are you going to do to fix that on your next hc run? iv played a few guardians to lvl 90 ssfhc and that was my weak point as well. felt so squishy
I love this. It's always so hard to decide on variations of a build because there are so many variants, so a series focusing on comparing them is def something I enjoy.
Having done both Psn & Lgn, both Champ & Necro, on both SSF & Trade (yup, that's a lot of SRS this league!), and also both on Kb&M and gamepad (in fact that's why I wanted to try Champ Lgn in the first place, it's actually one of the best builds to play with a gamepad). I can honestly say that while Champ Lgn felt somewhat tankier/safer the DMG of Poison felt better and more importantly Necro Psn was so insanely more comfortable to play that I had to in the end abandon lightning (and that's even with somewhat crappy Necro Psn gear in SSF vs I had great luck and got everything Champ Lgn needed also in SSF, 6L loreweave, jewels etc). The lower duration of SRS on Champ and the buff re-casting, plus the recovery reliance on life flask, simply were a pain in the a&&. Necro Psn is just cast & go, it feels better to play particularly for a grindy game. In trade league the contrast was even starker, because I could have access to way better gear for Psn so the difference got further minimised.
Great presentation. Ran poison srs as my last build of the league and i really like it. Took me further than ive gone woth any of my other characters. But this video has me very curious about lightning srs. I will check out the build and will probably play it at some point next league.
Didn't give the new guardian stuff a go yet so I was very surprised seeing this demo of the sentinel - that's actually insane and seems like it'd be a comfortable, braindead way to faceroll the initial ssf progression. Definitely going to have to give this a shot!
Fantastic work, i played chains of command and srs wrath/smite guardian without the guardian minions but stacking auras ammounts and effect effect to get 50%+ recovery. Was great but champ was better. When i saw your build of the champ, I loved it!

This is a really really good video. I was looking at srs with a dominating blow duo for league start but didn't end up doing it because I just couldn't decide what version would be best. This is a lot of great information that would have been hard to find otherwise
The attack speed you can get with guardian is unreal. If you’re willing to sacrifice 2 gem sockets the movement can imo be 3 stars, Flame Dash and Shield Charge with Unleash intermingled is just good clearing. SRS is so reliable for offscreen.
Talking about ssf standpoint I did 2 ssf starts this league and guardian felt really lackluster later on due to scaling issues, considering fleshcrafter and covenant both are T1. Guardian is bonkers early but if you manage to farm severed in sleep and darkness enthroned necro really becomes really comfy + if you manage to find a covenant which luckily I found one. It really starts rolling all content ingame. I also found a fleshcrafter but I doubt I would hit the dps and survivability numbers I have with my poison srs necro rn. Guardian having Time of need regen node might be the only thing I miss tbh compared to my necro srs.
Didnt play srs, but played dom blow poison on old guardian and absolution on the new one. The poison is still pretty op. The support gems giving you 40-50% more damage each except 1 (could be all if all are dps supports and last is predator). You can reach the cap much easier and faster than with hitbased skills. The temp chains is both defensive and damage curse, the wither doubles your dps. If you play necro, you get 50% increased minion durstion, the duration also works for other skills like vaal skills (vaal haste/vaal minions) or guard skills. When it comes to guardian, you play triple ele at first which gives you the highest early dps. Good for league starters. Later on, it becomes good to specialize only on one element. You use dorianys prototype, use punishment instead of elemental weakness and go crit with monkeys, passives and spirit offering. In the end your dps after switching from triple ele to lightning crit is 4 times higher. Havent played the champion, but it seems to have an edge only in high budget
Crit can get high PoB numbers sure. I'm personally not a fan of crit on SRS unless it's a dedicated boss character or something, flesh offering is really big QoL for everything outside of ubers
Man, these guides/videos you make are 100/100, really amazing work. I would love to hear your thoughts about any "new" starter builds. I love to test out a new skill on league launch, but last time it was a dud which was disappointing, but it goes with the terrain.

Nice vid, I'm most interested in your Guardian SRS build, I don't know if you'd consider doing a vid specifically about it. Notice that spectres aren't used, do you think it's not worth using them with jinxed juju? Could you squeeze them and convocation in on unset rings?
I tend to shy away from Spectre/AG personally but I think they could be decent here since they'll probably never die with "5% minion life on minion death" mastery. But like you mentioned socket pressure would be insane. Unsets are not ideal just because ring implicits tend to be quite strong but you can probably get away with wearing one. Jinxed Juju isn't great on Guardian since anger/wrath/hatred aren't affected by aura effect, but it's usable
Update - Thanks to this build I managed to finally get hardcore lvl 90 and eternal lab achievements after finished with the league on softcore so thanks for that 😊

Im personally very fond of this archetype as it's what i accidentally stumbled upon on my first blind playthrough and what i beat the campaign with for the first time (on another character and using a guide that time)
It sounds like a solid mapper, not sure about single target. Mechanically and numerically MI seems inferior to standard SRS though, and there probably won't be Minion Life tattoos next league
So I followed a guide similar to the Tri-SRS with Staff build, and seems most are playing with wand and shield. Im currently lvl 90 but seem to die alot even with high res. Just seems like some league mechanics I just have to avoid during maping.

Hey what is your plans for gauntlet ? I'm sort of stuck on srs champion or guardian. It's hard to compare 500 flat armour vs 25% block for example. Both have a similar fortify effect also. I guess the other thing is you said srs guardian is the king of SSF, however Ben has also said srs guardian will be too squishy for this gauntlet.
Pretty good video, I always prefer necro because of the benefit of being able to league start with it. It is an incredible leaguestarter and within 24 hours of the league I usually start to do boss services for pinnacle bosses. The problem I observed with the elemental version is that it takes too much investment to start it and you really cant leaguestart with elemental srs on pathfinder or champion. That is a big issue, you could do those even in ssf but the issue is you need to find specific items and still you will perform poorly compared to poison srs at start.
one thing i notice to make all srs builds more thank is to just simply put a taunt jew, and summon skelletons on wand, so it triggers often, taunt is so broken while mapping.

I've seen lightning coil for body armour along with phys to fire on helmet in Subtractem's build to help with phys mitigation@@MeMyselfAi-kg2ep

I might have to make a SRS Champion. I have a Poison SRS and I don't feel tanky.
Tried it and its VERY boring. Guardian is much more engaging and tankier.
