- From changing the fluid in your oil bath air cleaner to removing it and giving it a complete overhaul, this video shows how to service your "air filter" on a Massey Ferguson 35. This also applies to TO-35 and MF 135 tractors as well. And pretty much anything that uses an oil bath.
hi from england. we have the round ones over here, i have never seen a retangle one, give yours a good overhaul and re paint !
Thanks for that Video! Regards from Germany - Martín
Most welcome, from Arkansas USA!
Mine is a 1972 135 made in England and the filter is round.
Good to know.
I really enjoy your video on how to service your oil bath filter. I have the exact filter, I am in need of the gasket. Anyone have a part number of the gasket? If I have to put a round replacement on, does anyone have a model or part number for that? How hard is it to convert?
hi just got a 135 thanks for showing gives me an under standing .needs a good water blasting before i even think of goin near it lol
Congrats, you have yourself a great tractor.
Do you have anymore videos like services done on the 35 like checking all the fluids
Yes sir. This playlist has all my mf35 videos. Massey Ferguson 35 Tractor How-To Videos: ua-cam.com/play/PLtQGIkeCsXg-K98fG0-OcZypUuXE8JA2v.html. The one called video operator manual has a good overview that may help you get your bearings.
Great video. I watched your video last night and cleaned my air cleaner pan today. I noticed my gasket is shot. Do you know where I can get one without cobbling a new one together?
I normally use yesterday's tractors, steiner, ebay or a local massey ferguson dealer for parts. Haven't had to buy one so I'm not sure exactly where to find it.
Thx bro! From Belgium Europe, Bob
Cool! Thank you!
What id give to get my hands on the square air box, my old man lost his in a field years ago.
Wonder how often they show up on eBay?
Nice work dad ! When you say it is smoking too much is it coming out of a tube from the block or valve cover and not the exhaust pipe ? if so that is a draft system and likely working correctly. Most oil bath filters will not have a pcv setup. if you do not find a pcv valve then it is for sure. Farmers do some interesting things, have seen both systems tried to be used on the same engines
Good info Bubba. My smoke is from worn rings, but I figured it's still a good idea to clean this up thoroughly and see if there was any improvement. Thank you!
Yes, it's coming back to me now, you did a video on that as well... unless I am getting channels mixed up : ]
Hello From TURKEY, you put it Into diesel. Wait one night.
After that process, will we need to burn and wash with water?
Thanks.
You do not necessarily have to, no. As long as it's dry you are good.
@@FarmDad thanks.
Hello from Surinam I have one mf 35 that is made in paris.I have problem with hydrolick
Lol I was wondering why my tractor hasn’t been running right and I opened up the canister and I thought it was water LOL halfway through pouring it out I realized it was oil LMAOO
Mine is rectangle and is worn out...rusted through and not all there...I need to replace it. I have been told that the MF35 [Deluxe] had the rectangle ones. I have been searching for a rectangle one, anyone know where I can get one? A parts number would help.
I would just put a round one on it since that's mostly what the aftermarket sells. Honestly, I think the round look better anyway.
Massey-Fergusson 261 has a round one.
Good to know, thanks!
