"I'm 45 turning 46 next month, I'm so excited!" a small side comment but that made me happy. so much emphasis is placed on youth, esp in the beauty world but getting excited to grow older is not seen very often :) enjoyed the review too! haha Thanks girl
I actually like that you did your videos separately. Your skin types are so different that it’s nice to have Risa’s experience and your experience divided up
I was so amused watching this because getting you to praise a full coverage is like getting me to praise a sheer one! (It takes a lot!) We are both so set in our foundation ways! Lol It’s so crazy to me that a MUA like CT would make the neutral shades so...off??? Also, I agree with you on the pore issue. I only noticed the smoothing of pores once I applied a good powder. How awesome that Beautylish sent you those two shades. It sort of offsets the loss of your other order! ☹️ Lastly, thank you for your lovely words about me and for talking about my videos. I truly appreciate it and value your friendship so much!!! You are awesome and so deserving of all of your success!!! ❤️
Their neutrals are actually olive based. For my southasian skin with an olive undertone, it is PERFECT. And that says a lot because I have never found a foundation that matches me.
You’re the only person who mentioned that this foundation sinks into pores I don’t have much pores but this has definitely accentuated them. And my skin looks horrible I strongly agree with you..!!!
Was terrible on my dry/normal mature skin. Settled in all of my pores and wrinkles.... ugh. NOT good for my skin at all. I was shocked how this made my cheeks look like pitted strawberries. Not a good look at all. I wanted this one to be "the one". Oh well, the search continues. Thank you Michelle for the review.
yes!!! I also mentioned in my review about the peach fuzz... glad I wasn't the only one noticing it! My face isn't super 'fuzzy' and I do get some comments saying "well, just shave your face!" but I do think it's important to note that just because there is a little peach fuzz on your face doesn't mean that the foundation doesn't highlight and exaggerate it!
Thanks for your review. I don’t think this is dry skin friendly at all. It aged me about 5-10 years. Emphasized any imperfections I have. I could not wait to take it off. I tried it 5-6 different times with excellent skin care, and made no difference. I’d be leery of recommending this to dry skin and mature skin gals.
This is def not intended for dry skin. It's a matte finish, which is probably the last thing a dry skin wants. It would be like an oily skin gal (me for example) getting a dewy foundation and complaining about being shiny.
Manuela Herrera I know that. Although, the Charlotte tilbury site claimed it was good for ALL skin types, so I thought I’d try it. I know what is best for my dry skin, and won’t be purchasing anymore matte (especially full coverage foundations). I was only stating my experience.
Remember that Charlotte recommends Her magic cream PLUS the wonder glow first. It works for me and I am dry but I only use the primer not the cream. It sits on the primer, not the skin.
I don't understand these negative reviews tbh, I am 58 have dry, rosacea proned skin and I used the magic cream underneath and applied the foundation with my tom ford natural hair foundation brush and also the sonia g face 1 brush, I loooove this foundation!! It sits beautiful on my skin, was not cakey, covers all my rosacea and didn't dry my skin out at all. I have to say, I do exfoliate my skin every day, moisturize very well and drink lots of water, I have stippled the foundation on and also used small strokes. I am absolutely in love with this foundation, it is similar to the estee lauder double wear but with more coverage. 💕
Great review. I had a bad reaction to this foundation. It also settled in every pore and line and was very ageing and caked. I would not recommend for mature dry skin ( I am 58).
Same here.... my face looked like a strawberry, as this foundation settled in every pore and line for me as well. Super sad about this one. Wanted it to be great.
I actually LOVE this foundation! After exposure to being out and about my day, with minimal perspiration, it worked out beautifully for me. Very satisfied.
I tried this for the first time today & love it! My perfect shade match is 3C & I applied with a damp sponge (wiping more than dabbing) with some Hollywood flawless filter underneath. Got a flawless medium coverage - very happy 50 year old with dry to normal skin with this foundation 😊
CT is the master of creating hype. With dry mature skin, I can not do matte bases. I am waiting for your review of the new Surratt foundation. Nobody is covering that one!
I feel like the foundation did to you what the Estee Lauder Doublewear does to me (emphasize smile lines and sink in!) On hot days I add a "shot" of Estee Lauder to some foundations that get too dewy for my combination skin. Thanks for the great review and letting me know that I can pass on this foundation!
Out of all UA-camr out there, I trust your reviews 100000000% I have dry acne prone skin so I follow your reviews and suggestion My makeup routine improve a lot well as my skincare routine ( I’m only 21 but my skin ages :-/ )
You don’t have a “crap ton” of peach fuzz. Made me chuckle. I always need a laugh. Thanks for the review. For having so many issues with with your skin, it’s very radiant and beautiful. Forehead lines add character and are barely noticeable. I just got the CT Magic Foundation yesterday. I’m looking forward to trying it today.
Hi Michelle, great video; thanks for the review. I actually think the colour you wore suited you. Yes, it was slightly dark, but it worked and didn’t look mismatched against your neck colour. You could wear it. What do you do with the makeup you don’t want? Do you give them away?
I bought this foundation and have really been enjoying it! I was surprised it didn’t feel dry at all like most matte foundations do! I also tried mixing it in with the Hollywood Flawless Filter and really love it 💕 great review!
I LOVE that you said “I’ll be 46 next month. I’m sooo excited!” More recently I have been reminding myself that getting a year older is a privilege, and like you said, it’s something exciting! Thank you for embracing that and being the amazing woman you are 💕
i just got this foundation... and i had the same exact impression the first time i put it on: i ft it emphasized my pores, and accentuated my peach fuzz! I was not very happy with it the first time... But i felt it looked better throughout the day. Today, i put it on over my flawless filter, and wow! very pretty! It looks much better now. I think this is a foundation that needs to be worn over some type of primer, so that the pores appear less big.
This foundation looks tricky to match to one's optimal shade, so I've decided to wait to go to a counter for that. I also think this foundation is prone to being overapplied. A little goes a very long way as Wayne Goss demonstrated in his video. I prefer to use just enough foundation to even my skintone and then use a product like Magic Away (matched to my skintone) to further conceal problem areas. Using samples, I've had no problem with this foundation except my oily nose area, which is normal for me. While EL Double Wear did not work for me, I use Bobbi Brown's Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation as my go-to for near full coverage foundation and it wears beautifully on my skin. I hope you find a better match, Michelle, and would love to see swatches of the shades you have before and after the foundation dries down.
Thanks for the review! I’ve been using a very light hand with this - even less than you did- and love the finish and longevity. When applied in a very sheer layer it’s just beautiful!
I always enjoy your videos. Not sure whether I'd repurchase anything Tilbury - bad experience with the similarly branded "Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder." It looked very cakey on me. I did everything I could to obtain magical results - after initial disappointment, I bought a special 50 dollar brush to apply it. That made it no better. Then I had a makeup artist at Sephora apply it on me in a desperate bid to still get the FLAWLESS results. No better. Finally I did one side of my face with her powder and the other side with my trusty, year old plus Studiofix powder (that makes no miraculous claims) and sent pictures to three friends asking them if they could see the difference between the two sides of my face, not providing them any details. Two of them agreed the Tilbury side was cakey and made my skin look bad, and the third the third pointed out it poorly set my other products. At long last, it was returned. I enjoy Tilbury's approach and her social media presence and her charming personality seen in videos. I like that she says beautiful before and beautiful after. All good. I don't have much faith in her products at this point and they are exorbitantly pricey.
Glad I'm not the only one. I really don't understand the popularity of this brand. I only trust long standing companies that have proved time and time again that their products are amazing. I think it's a fad and after trying in store few of her products, I just didn't like any. I returned some lipstick and powder that I bought because poor quality. The powder smelled like rancid oil and the lipstick applied all streaky. I didn't understand the inflated price and some products look like copycats of famous brands. I will stick with my TF, Guerlain and Chanel...:)
Hi, Michele! So which shade best matched your skin? I'd like to know cuz my skin tone is very similar to yours, I feel like. I'm also wondering if you would use it in winter time. Thx! L♥️ve from Japan
This got me thinking about the flawless filter original. Have you ever used it as a way to refresh your makeup later in the day? I’m wondering if you have any suggestions for how to bring back a glow to your face when the make up has faded a bit but you don’t want to wash your face and start over. I have dry skin like you.
Dear Michele, I think you were very kind in your review of this foundation. The amount you applied was spot on compared to other reviewers whom have caked it on and then they complain “it’s a terrible foundation” when truly, it’s about the amount it is used...
Every time I said to the sales women in the store, "it's oxidizing so yellow on me". she kept saying, "no, it's OPTIMIZING". I can't wear this foundation. I like her Light Wonder though.
i tried light wonder bc i wanted light coverage but I don't like the dewy finish. I tried setting with powder but still trying to figure out how to make it work. do you set yours?
I ordered mine off the site using their shade finder (put in my Dior, CYO, and Too Faced) and they all gave me the same shade, which is a perfect match. Might want to try that. So far, loving this foundation
You do an exceptionally good job with the camera and closeup viewing. I feel like I can really get an excellent idea of the application! Thank you so much!
I’m so glad I watched this first. I have dry skin with forehead lines. Their previous magic foundation was a disaster on my skin type. I think I will stick to Estée Lauder double wear. It’s the only full coverage foundation that I don’t have a bad reaction to or cakey look
I have combo skin and have had some of the same issues with the CT. My pores were accentuated. I will try this again in the winter but as of now, it is a no go and not what I had hoped for.
Dear Michele, always such a pleasure to see you and watch your videos. I use this foundation with a wet beauty blender and I think it might work better applying it with a sponge rather than a brush xxx
Great video. I have very dry skin and wondered what skin care products you use. I'm so tired of Trying things, I need the right combo. I use IT cc cream on my face but it feels like it sits on top HELP..
Hi Michele I am a new subscribers. Was sent here by Risa!! Your skin is very similar to mine (including eczema) only I am a bit older so that means bigger pores🙁 and a few lines around and under my eyes (fighting them like no one's business). I was wondering if you have a Holy Grail foundation for light, medium and full coverage? I have tried many. My current is It Bye Bye Foundation and it's just ok. I personally like medium to full coverage. I have many broken capillaries, some age spots (trying to lighten)and freckles. I am fine trying high end foundation if it works. Any help would be.great. Thank you and I am so glad I found your channel!! I will be binge watching you all day!!
CT didn't work me, it was a let down.... but I am loving the Anastasia Luminous foundation, I wasn't even going to try it, and it's probably my all time fav even better than anything I've tried before, and believe me, I've tried every brand sold at Sephora and higher end, I have 2 drawers full. Love the Anastasia one so much that I ordered another shade to deepen up the existing shade I have. I have normal/dry skin, and in my late 50s 🤗. Try a sample.
Mom of 2 here also...:) 39 years old with mature/dry/combination skin. My suggestion will be to search foundations on Michele's home page. She has plenty of great videos about foundations, her top 5 and so on. I followed all her suggestions, hahaha, and so far I ended up with Guerlain, Koh Gen Do , Armani Luminous and La Mer foundations. I also have Cle de Peau on its way to me. Really excited about that one. These are light to medium coverage. Love them all
I used this foundation today for the first time. I have dry skin and it worked so good on me. My skin has never looked so flawless. I wonder what it is that makes it work for some dry skins and not work for others.
Thanks for your in depth review Michele. I’m not a fan of full coverage foundation, but I wanted to see your take on it for dry skin. It looks great on you, even though the shade is too dark and too yellow. You’re the best. 🌟🌟🌟
Thank you for the honesty of results. So many people I believe are raving about this fountain just because the hype. I have dry skin with large pores so definitely not going to purchase. I don’t need to emphasize the pores more. FYI this is my first time watching you.
Any chance you could do an update ? Or have you done an update? It could be that since you layered two layers on, maybe that’s why it started to settle. But can you update us on how it wears when you do it light layers ?
Thank you so much for this review. I have very sensitive, dry skin and yet I wanted this matte foundation in the worst way. It was delivered yesterday and I immediately swatched my chosen shade, 3N, and Lordy does it look warm. I haven’t had time to apply it to my entire face yet but there is no way it is “neutral,” especially after the 5 minute dry-down waiting period. I’m so glad that this foundation mostly worked for you. It looked great on your skin. It must feel see different/odd/? for you wearing all of these full coverage foundations. I don’t wear FC either (although I probably should to cover up this ugly mug) but I hope to like this one enough to keep it! As always, your video was thorough, informative, and unbiased. Thank you so much!!!
I do wish the Neutral shades were more neutral. The warmth in these N shades are so obvious! Oh well... I hope it works out for you! FC is definitely something to get used to. And I'm sure you do not have an "ugly mug"!!! 💖
I only got to watch this now because I was in Vegas for the long weekend. Boy is it hot in your city! I am always thankful for your reviews because we are both the exact shade and skin type. What shade do you think would have been better?
Michele, please try the new Anastasia foundation. I think you will really enjoy. With one pump, you get a natural, medium coverage and a lovely soft radiance. It also doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. And you absolutely don’t have to powder it; also, no alcohol in the formula.
Please update us on how you like it with one light layer the way you would normally wear it. I’m still on the fence and I use a very small amount of foundation but I like longevity.
Great review! The "matte" finish is one of the reasons I decided not to try this particular foundation as I also have very dry and sensitive skin. I am LOVING the Tom Ford Soleil foundation! Do you have a review of that foundation as well?
Hi Michele :) My comment is not about this video but I just wanted to let you know that a lot of people sent me messages asking if the new Sisley foundation that I reviewed is suitable for dry skin. I have very oily skin right now (courtesy of the Italian summer). I'm not sure what to answer... but I'd love to watch a review from you. Now I'm back to watching . xoxo
Thanks Michele for this video! Definitely don’t want my pores to be alive&well🤣🤣 Soooo many full coverage foundations (which I’m not a fan of personally) Cannot wait for a light to medium new foundation😝
@@charismill Me neither! Light to medium and slightly dewy = right up my alley. I have high hopes for Surratt's new Dew Drop Foundation and can't wait for Michele to review it.
I’m so glad I waited until my Nordstrom has this foundation to get shade matched. Can’t wait to get it in a few days. I’m actually relieved there is a way wear this that isn’t full coverage.
Hi Sarah!! Yes, I think you can apply pretty lightly, but I think I'm also going to try applying it with an oil, and also with her flawless filter to try and get a different level of coverage and different finish. xoxo
I LOVE your nail color! Can you share what color you’re using for your manicure and if they are dipped or shellac or regular polish? I would love to have that color for my next mani :) I looked around for this info in the description box but don’t see it....forgive me if I overlooked it! Thank you for the video!
Hola Michele! It looks so pretty on your skin! very luminous (I am also very dry skin and prefer luminous hydrating foundations ratter than matte ones). What I watched on Charlotte's video a month ago, is that the skin care benefits are over time. I was commenting on Risa's video that if we are going to compare this one, must be with foundations with similar characteristics. Estée Lauder double wear doesn't provide any skincare benefit while Charlotte does. SALUDOS from Mexico.
I'm btwn you and Risa in that at 49, I have pretty normal skin. I did hear that you do need to prime with a good moisturiser beforehand like her Magic Cream so you may have a better result with it. I just wish it was more convenient swatching her products since I'm in Australia and haven't used her other foundations - just the Magic Foundation samples. Going by the swatches I thought I might be a 4N but a little concerned about the right match since you proved that are quite warm. Anyway, great video and how cool of Beautylish to send you 2 bottles to try. Would you be able to swatch all 3 on IG or something?
Thank you for the review. I was waiting for this one as I have very dry skin too and was wondering how you found it. I had pretty much the same experience as you. It showed my texture a little more than you. I will keep playing with it. But I guess for full coverage matte on dry skin it is about as good as it gets.
I have this foundation and it looks pretty good on my very dry mature skin. I do bump up the moisturizer and have to use the Tatcha silk canvas on my nose and pores and use a damp sponge. I also use a very little bit, less than 1 pump for my entire face. Too much and it becomes a cakey mess. The shade I got is 4N and I'm not sure I'm happy with it. It is definitely on the warm side. I'm going to work with it a few more times. If I like this foundation enough, then I'll try another color. Thank you for your thoughts on this one.
@@TheMicheleWang - I always buy the mini of the Tatcha Silk Canvas because it has 6 month expiration. Since I don't use everyday, it didn't make sense to get the normal size and have to toss it. Also only a little bit is needed. I find pressing it in rather than rubbing works best. It can ball up if I rub too much or use too much. But it is a very nice product.
What do you do for a living? I know random question lol but you’re always like so classy and well put together just super curious ! Love you videos!!💚💚💚
Thanks for your helpful review. Did you notice that the foundation applied lighter and dried down darker like her site said? The cakey and other problems you experienced seem to be what other people reviewing this experienced . Ugh Now I don’t know if I want to bother with this . I am going to go and get color matched & a sample . I think I should be a 2N or maybe a 1n... I am shade 2 in Light wonder, 2 in Magic foundation, NC15 in Mac , and 120 in Fenty. Anyone similar shade to me ? If so what shade did you get in this foundation?
I really appreciate this review! I had gotten this with high hopes and was very disappointed. I have very dry skin and it amplified my pores and looked patchy. I tried with 2 different primers but maybe I'm doing something wrong?
I’m not a full coverage kinda gal & hate that cakey feeling on my face. I am realizing applying foundation all over isn’t working for me anyway. I prefer tinted moisturizer all over with medium to light foundation in certain areas of my face blending in together 🤷♀️
Michele, such a great in depth review! And so many opinions in the comments. In my own humble opinion, I feel like this foundation ages you( I don’t know, not a huge fan of it. Thank you again for your review!😘
You have beautiful eyes! They look dark brown in the videoes but they looked carmel brown in car video. So many foundation releases! How many do you typically have in rotation at one time?
Thanks Paula! I usually have a solid 2-3 going, but then will try to use ones I don't use often. And then there are all the ones I review for the channel.
I strongly recommend checking out Amore Pacific's Age Correcting Cushion Foundation (available in Nordstrom, but not Sephora). I have similar skin to yours and am the same age, it's amazing stuff.
Thanks for this review! I'm pretty excited about this and can't wait to check it out. I can't believe how many brands are coming out with foundations right now! I just saw that Shiseido has one that I'm pretty interested in. Have a great day Michele!
I've been struggling to make this foundation work on my dry skin. Any which way I use it, it goes instantly cakey and bunchy, settling into lines I didn't know I had. It looks thick and yet stays feeling tacky all day. So bizarre. I also find the shades super peachy as well.
My favorite at the moment, and for 2019 so far is the Sisley Tinted Sunscreen Cream. Very nice coverage, but with a natural look, 30 spf, creamy texture, just need the smallest dab... it's just great.
Thank you so much for this review! It was so helpful for someone like me who also has very dry skin. I'd love to see you review Fenty's new foundation. Love💕
Thank you for the great video! I was waiting for this one. I wanted to know your thoughts on the ingredients since it has fragrance/parfum and alcohol in it. What do you think? I have dry sensitive skin too. Love to hear your thoughts. 😉
Great review! I have been trying this foundation out for about a week too and I love the finish and coverage. It's worked best applying it with a flat top foundation brush for me. I do find it emphasizes my peach fuzz like you said and my shade (2N) definitely oxidizes but that's worked out for me because it's a little bit light going on.
Great review as always. I've been waiting for your review on this one...I still don't think it's for me, but may stop by the counter at Nordstrom to give it a test run. I'm eagerly awaiting your review of the Sisley, which sounds like the type of foundation I like.
Can you try Anastasia Beverly Hills and Fentys foundation. Only if you take requests. Certainly don’t buy it if you have no intentions. It just seems to be dry skin friendly but I only seen reviews on people 35 and under. I struggle with texture.
Thank you for the honest review, I'm not sure this foundation is for me as I prefer a light/medium coverage as I've gotten older (full coverage tends to age and emphasize everything I don't want it to). I do wonder though if this foundation will work better with a pore minimizing primer just in the area around the nose and maybe lightly setting around the mouth and other fine lines? If it does work better that way then for occasions where a fuller coverage foundation is needed this could work quite nicely. My only concern would be finding a shade match as I too am a neutral tone and that shade you used was nowhere near neutral lol. Well, guess I'd just have to shade match in the store and hope for the best. :)
In a beauty community that can be a bit messy, you are the opposite...generous, smart and on point. Funny as hell too.
Thank you so much Heather!! xoxo that means a lot to me.
Your skin types are so different that it’s nice to have Risa’s experience and your experience divided up
Yes! We thought that would be really helpful. I wish we could combine our skin and get normal 😂
I was so amused watching this because getting you to praise a full coverage is like getting me to praise a sheer one! (It takes a lot!) We are both so set in our foundation ways! Lol

Risa Does Makeup what?? I’m not very far into the video and assumed she hated it - that’s what I get for assuming!!:)
Wendy French Hi Wendy! I’m sure by now you’ve seen that it wasn’t a glowing review,
but she didn’t totally hate it! 🤣
I think she changed the descriptions of her shades?! And thank you always for your support in this crazy YT world!! Xoxo
Mel Thompson also mentioned that it sunk into her pores
Abby bliss reported the same
I don’t watch any of them
Totally agree. Sinks into pores and makes them so visible which is weird cause I wear Armani silk and it does not do that to my skin. I returned it.

Hello, Michele. So which of the 3 shades 3N, 4N, 5N worked best for your skin tone? I use you for reference in all my foundations. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for your review. I don’t think this is dry skin friendly at all. It aged me about 5-10 years. Emphasized any imperfections I have. I could not wait to take it off. I am absolutely in love with this foundation, it is similar to the estee lauder double wear but with more coverage. 💕
Can I just say how I love how you love birthdays?! It's refreshing to see another woman say it positively, excitedly, and eagerly! It's inspiring.
🎉 🎉
Great review. I had a bad reaction to this foundation. It also settled in every pore and line and was very ageing and caked. I would not recommend for mature dry skin ( I am 58).
Same here.... my face looked like a strawberry, as this foundation settled in every pore and line for me as well. Super sad about this one. Wanted it to be great.
Yes such a disappointment!
This is also a mess on my face, I usually don't have any skin issues but this foundation makes my skin texture look worse! ( I'm 20 with dry skin
I used this foundation with CT MAGIC CREAM works better with that but not my favorite.
Thanks for the review, I’ll probably skip that. Can you please review the new Sisley foundation?
I actually LOVE this foundation! After exposure to being out and about my day, with minimal perspiration, it worked out beautifully for me. Very satisfied.
Hi, where can I buy the white Moon-Stone Ring. Please there's no web site listed. Help. Thank you....
You can do a search for the designer - Lucifer Vir Honestus - don’t know where you can find online or in store.
I tried this for the first time today & love it! My perfect shade match is 3C & I applied with a damp sponge (wiping more than dabbing) with some Hollywood flawless filter underneath. Got a flawless medium coverage - very happy 50 year old with dry to normal skin with this foundation 😊
That sounds perfect!
CT is the master of creating hype. With dry mature skin, I can not do matte bases. I am waiting for your review of the new Surratt foundation. Nobody is covering that one!
Sam Chapman uses and loves the surrat dew drops. Check her Instagram/UA-cam.
Beautyprofessor did a review of the Surratt
I feel like the foundation did to you what the Estee Lauder Doublewear does to me (emphasize smile lines and sink in!) Hi Michelle, great video; thanks for the review.
Oh awesome! I have to try mixing it with the flawless filter, or maybe some oil.
I LOVE that you said “I’ll be 46 next month. I’m sooo excited!” More recently I have been reminding myself that getting a year older is a privilege, and like you said, it’s something exciting! Thank you for embracing that and being the amazing woman you are 💕
Thanks Brooke!! It is definitely a privilege! Xoxo
i just got this foundation... and i had the same exact impression the first time i put it on: i ft it emphasized my pores, and accentuated my peach fuzz!
Same here... i has issues with my pores. It’s was kind of odd 🤷🏼♀️ otherwise, it was pretty. You look great ❤️
Hi Mel!! Thank you 💖It was def odd. And it didn't really get worse throughout the day which was surprising too!
Definitely interested to hear how the other shades work for you. I’ve always found the CT foundation undertones to be a bit odd
Always waiting your new video, I’m hooked to your reviews 😊❤️
Thank you so much!
Thanks for the review! I’ve been using a very light hand with this - even less than you did- and love the finish and longevity. When applied in a very sheer layer it’s just beautiful!
I'm loving the versatility!
I appreciate how you apply your foundation. Like a normal non influencer! Keeping it relatable, thank you
Thank you!
You are absolutely spoiling us with all the hot new content Michele!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
🎉 🎉
Your skin looks great on camara with this foundation 💕
Thank you so much!
🤣 omg... optimizing!
@@TheMicheleWang Haha. I know. I think they are told to say that in their training. She kept correcting me. "Optimzing, optimizing!" xo
Optimizing your chances of not purchasing the foundation hah! All part of the sales pitch
i tried light wonder bc i wanted light coverage but I don't like the dewy finish. I tried setting with powder but still trying to figure out how to make it work. do you set yours?
Yelena Rivera I use the Light Wonder. I do not set anything because I’m dry. But someone else can probably answer
Thanks Dina!
I’m so glad I watched this first. I have dry skin with forehead lines. Their previous magic foundation was a disaster on my skin type. I think I will stick to Estée Lauder double wear. It’s the only full coverage foundation that I don’t have a bad reaction to or cakey look
“Welcome to my face” is such a big mood
I have combo skin and have had some of the same issues with the CT. My pores were accentuated. I will try this again in the winter but as of now, it is a no go and not what I had hoped for.
Please, can you give me an update if you've tried the other shades that you have? I like this foundation and been trying to find my correct shade.
Dear Michele, always such a pleasure to see you and watch your videos. I use this foundation with a wet beauty blender and I think it might work better applying it with a sponge rather than a brush xxx
Thank you! I def have to try some different techniques!
Great video. I have very dry skin and wondered what skin care products you use. I'm so tired of
Trying things, I need the right combo. I use IT cc cream on my face but it feels like it sits on top
HELP..
I’m in love with the ABH foundation too, I have dry skin and I’m 54 😊
I should also mention that after I applied it with the brush i made a pass with a damped beauty blender over it. So maybe try that too.
Thanks for your in depth review Michele. I’m not a fan of full coverage foundation, but I wanted to see your take on it for dry skin. It looks great on you, even though the shade is too dark and too yellow. You’re the best. 🌟🌟🌟
What shade finally matched you the best? I have similar skin tone to you. The 5N was too warm for me too.
CT foundations don't seem to work for me, looks like this one would be the same. Thanks for reviewing!
Interesting review. I’m really enjoying you’re rec on Guerlain new foundation!
I came to watch a review of this foundation. But I can’t get over how beautiful your skin is.
Thanks Matthew! I’m def tempted by it.
Michelle - How would you rank the new Pat Magrath, Charlotte Tilbury, and the new Guerlain. Which do you think is the best?
Guerlain by far.
Please update us on how you like it with one light layer the way you would normally wear it. I’m still on the fence and I use a very small amount of foundation but I like longevity.
👍🏻
Great review! The "matte" finish is one of the reasons I decided not to try this particular foundation as I also have very dry and sensitive skin. I am LOVING the Tom Ford Soleil foundation! Do you have a review of that foundation as well?
That's great - important to know what you like and don't like. Yes, here is a link to that video: ua-cam.com/video/pmGe87X4Zv8/v-deo.html
Now I'm back to watching . xoxo
Review going up tomorrow!! (Spoiler - I really like it!)
Thanks Michele for this video! Definitely don’t want my pores to be alive&well🤣🤣 Soooo many full coverage foundations (which I’m not a fan of personally) Cannot wait for a light to medium new foundation😝
xoxo thanks Maris! So alive. So well. 😂
Michele Wang 😂😂😂
@@charismill Me neither! Light to medium and slightly dewy = right up my alley. I have high hopes for Surratt's new Dew Drop Foundation and can't wait for Michele to review it.
Jasmin Blüte Me too! Cannot wait for that one!!
Can you show us what 3N and 4N looks on your skin please.
SO excited to see this video Mich-dying to try a new foundation. Love you girl!! xx (WE NEED TO GET YOU TO 100k!!!)
Love you!! Xoxo
I wonder if this foundation would sit any different on your skin with Charolette's magic cream underneath.
Great review! Can you let us know if the 3N or 4N shade are better shade matches for you? Thanks so much.
Will be playing around more soon. And will be posting swatches soon!
Thank you for the review. I was waiting for this one as I have very dry skin too and was wondering how you found it. I had pretty much the same experience as you. It showed my texture a little more than you. I will keep playing with it. But I guess for full coverage matte on dry skin it is about as good as it gets.
As we are nearly identical in skin tone, I was waiting to see which color is a match. Thank-you for the review &wear test. ❤
You're the second person to mention Tatcha Silk Canvas - now I'll have to try it. Thanks Brenda!! xoxo
What do you usually wear for foundation? It’s so hard to find reviews from one with dry skin.
I wish I had loved this one a little bit more!
Very helpful ! But so many foundation laughing right now,am so excited, for once a lot of cruelty free ones. Wich ones to choose🤗🙂🤷♀️
I've been eyeing this foundation so hard! I see Sephora has the samples with $25 purchase now!
Yasss get a sample!! xoxo
Pleases give us your thoughts on the eye vanish corrector, too. Also, update the foundation colors with your new 3&4N, please. Thanks
My corrector is lost in the mail, so I don't think I'll have the opportunity to test it out. at least not any time soon.
Thanks for the review, would you please review the new Shiseido foundation as well?
Thanks for this review! I'm pretty excited about this and can't wait to check it out. I can't believe how many brands are coming out with foundations right now! I just saw that Shiseido has one that I'm pretty interested in. Have a great day Michele!
I've been struggling to make this foundation work on my dry skin. Any which way I use it, it goes instantly cakey and bunchy, settling into lines I didn't know I had. It looks thick and yet stays feeling tacky all day. So bizarre. I also find the shades super peachy as well.
Great video. Love the rest of the makeup, especially the lipstick. Looks great!
Thank you Michele I was waiting for your review.. after your review I always know I will buy or not! ❤️
Thanks Remy!
What is the best foundation that you have tried i have normal skin but i have lines and enlarged pores
Thanks Kelly! Thanks for sharing your discoveries! xoxo
Great review as always. I've been waiting for your review on this one...I still don't think it's for me, but may stop by the counter at Nordstrom to give it a test run. I'm eagerly awaiting your review of the Sisley, which sounds like the type of foundation I like.
A sample is a good idea for sure! Sisley review coming tomorrow!!
Thank you Michele! I come from Risa’s channel and am so happy she recommended your channel for us dry skin girls 😁 great review!! New sub 💕
Welcome Mag! Thanks so much for coming by! Xoxo
Thank you for testing this. Fellow eczema sisters appreciate you ♡
xoxo ❤️
will you swatch the colors you have of the CT foundations...maybe on instagram? thanks!
