I'm a full odds hunter. I prefer to not reduce the odds. It feels more satisfying. Sprites are also infinitely better than 3D models. These games are literally timeless due to their beautiful sprites.
Shiny hunting is best done as a secondary task. I'm usually on down time from work so I'm watching TV or something and shiny hunting is the background task.

It's random so I can't give you a time frame, sorry. It's like asking how long is a piece of string. It could be short, could be long. Do your best when you can and don't worry too much about time. Just try and do X amount of resets when you can and you'll get it eventually. Make it the background task while watching streams etc and you'll get it :)

How is it possible it was less than 16 hrs . Soft reset takes 30 second if im not mistaken. so it would be not more than 3k resets in 16 hrs. are you on multiple console hunt ?

Blake Fraatz it’s really not. If he’s spending that much time hunting for shinies then he’s obviously gonna be bound to find them eventually. Sure he found 3 shinies in a day, but look at how many encounters he had to go through. So many in fact that he went well over twice times the odds. Not tryna shit on the parade, but he has a point.
If you don't hunt, you don't find shinies. Keep yourself occupied as much as possible my friend. Streams, films, Netflix, take breaks when you want to. You'll get it.

It’s like rolling a 8192 sided die, where only one side means it’s shiny. Each sr is a roll, so each one is 1/8192.
