- 今回の動画は、京都市動物園で暮らすニシゴリラのモモタロウと飼育員さんとのちょっとしたバトルになります。
京都市動物園では、午後３時半頃にゴリラ達は屋内の部屋に帰ります。
部屋に戻ると夕食をゴリラ達は食べるのですが、ゴリラ達をみんな一緒の部屋に入れると、モモタロウがみんなのご飯を独り占めにしてしまいゲンキ達がご飯を食べれなくなってしまいます。
そのため、飼育員さんはモモタロウだけ別の部屋に入ってもらい、ゲンキ達が満足にご飯を食べれる様にします。
しかし、モモタロウはそのイカツイ顔つきに似合わず、寂しがりらしく1人だけ別の部屋に入れられるのをとても嫌います。
モモタロウは自分が入りたい部屋の扉以外の扉が開いても、入ろうとしません。しかもゲンキやゲンタロウがどの部屋でも良いから入りたいので、入ろうとするとモモタロウは怒って、部屋に入れさせません。
ワガママなモモタロウは、飼育員さんが開けた扉に入るでしょうか？
This video is a little battle between Momotaro who lives at Kyoto City Zoo and the keeper.
At Kyoto City Zoo, the gorillas return to their indoor room around 3:30 pm.
The gorillas eat dinner when they return to the room, but when all the gorillas are put in the same room, Momotaro monopolizes everyone's food and G
enkis cannot eat.
Therefore, the keeper keeps Momotaro in a separate room so that the Genkis can eat food satisfactorily.
However, Momotaro doesn't suit that scary look and is lonely and hates having only one person in another room.
Momotaro does not try to enter even if the doors other than the one he wants to enter open. Moreover, I want to enter Genki and Gentaro because I can enter in any room, so when I try to enter, Momotaro gets angry and does not let them enter the room.
Will Momotaro enter the door opened by the keeper?

I read that in the wild the Silverback makes all decisions. He protects the troop, settles squabbles between members, decides the day's activities, and, at mealtime, has first choice of food. Wonder if it is instinct that drives Momotaro to be stingy with food or if being in captivity plays a part.

Momotaro is stubborn. I'm glad they separate them during feeding. Ive seen were Momotaro has been aggressive toward Genki and her food.

LOL, Genki tried to help out in Round 5 by throwing some dirt at Momo 05:27. She's just too funny! I love that they give her and the kids time to eat before Momo. I read a couple comments that she doesn't have any back teeth. I noticed when she chews her grass it's in the front of her mouth.
Genki throwing dirt at Momotaro is no laughing matter. I once took care of a woman who had dirt thrown in her face. She was almost blinded, severe decrease in vision, not to mention the disfiguring appearance of her scarred eyes. I wish Momotaro would teach Genki a lesson or two about respect & patience.

Oh boy. What a commotion just to get them to eat. Just like having children. 😄🦍
He’s not being selfish at all...I think he feels left out from the rest of the family and wants to be with them while they all eat. He may stare or intimidate them when any of them goes for the food he’s found and has placed around him while he sits and eats. He has a routine when he’s outside eating...Zookeepers seem to put each of the family members favorite foods in specific spots and a lot of times I’ve seen him go directly to the food spots, pull the branch with leaves, and he climbs up to sit on one of the beams to eat and watch over the family from above. On the other hand, I’ve seen Genki snatch treats out of Kintaro’s baby hands before he can even taste it. There are tons of videos of the family outside and Kintaro is being fed baby food and some treats by the zookeepers and Momotaro will sit patiently waiting to possibly get a treat too but he waits for Kintaro to get a few bites in before tries to get the zookeepers attention for a treat as well. Once he gets his treat he walks away so Kintaro can keep eating. He may not have liked the food placed in each enclosure and that was his way of telling the zookeepers that day he refused to go in but I wouldn’t say he was being selfish at all.
Momotaro is selfish with food he has made his mind up to eat beforehand. So if he sees food he plans on getting around to in a few minutes, and Gentaro swoops in and takes it, even if momo has given no indication he wants it besides in his mind.
Momo will become angry that Gentaro took his food. Even tho there is no way Gentaro could have known about it.
So if he sees food he doesnt want to eat then he could care less if another gorilla eats it.
It is why there are so many videos of Momo pouncing on Gentaro after Gentaro starts eating some seemingly random food.

I had my doubts on who was going to win the battle, since Momotaro is so headstrong. Meanwhile, while this battle raged, Kintaro seemed blissfully unaware as he playfully ran around the enclosure.

Hilarious! Momotaro is VERY smart! 🤣 I love Momotaro, he’s such a presence in or out of a room that’s for sure! I’ve always thought he should eat in a different room, however as the leader and the way I’ve been reading about gorillas the silverback eats first! So the room you are putting him in does it have food in it? Cause if not but you are letting him see his family eat that’s cruel. Furthermore genki is just as overbearing as Momo is when it come to not sharing. Great to separate but don’t tease him please nor should he eat what’s left, give him his own in his room. Thanks 😊

Momontaro is #1 at the food. He wants his food and hers. She is forced to eat quickly so she may get something to eat. Keepers help Ginki separating them. I love this family 💞

Se Momotaro se recusava a entrar certamente havia um bom motivo, que tal as altas temperaturas na cidade de Kyoto, que devem ter transformado à casa dos gorilas numa local terrivelmente quente??
Momotaro não é teimoso ou burro, e inteligente e protetor da Família.
Ele só deve ter entrado porque a necessidade por comida falou mais alto.
モモタロウさんのことだから、多分、ゲンキさんたちが自分より美味しいものを貰っているのではと思っていそう。キンタロウ君のおやつも横取りしちゃうし、モモタロウさんの食い意地ってなかなか厄介です。
食に関しては、妻であろうが子どもであろうが自分優先ですからね。お父さんがいなかったのが影響あるかもしれませんね。お父さんがいて、兄弟と育った名古屋のシャバーニは妻はともかく、子どもの食べ物を横取りなんかしませんからね。

Gorillas never share their food. In the wood they all find enough. But her the food is only a ration per ape. Momotaro is the silverback, so he sees nothing wrong in it to eat all food.
Remember how Genki ate literally EVERYTHING on Kintaro 's first birthday. She took him each crumb off the mouth. Geh sat and hat a lemon or Grapefruit peel she had spit since they cannot eat it. Every time he felt happy, because he found a leftover piece of delicious fruit, she took and ate it. Well that was mean! I cannot forget it.

@@kimgraham9671 I thought it said they put him in the room by himself while the family get to eat first so they get their share and some of their favorites then the open the joining door
They don't refer to the largest portion as the "Lion's share" for nothing. The Silverback gets the most food. Momo may be a bit more aggressive about it than some other gorillas but that may be due to his not growing up with a father or just being in captivity.
Why Gentaro is Always the last to Enter? Since he is a male, older
should'nt He enter first than Kintaro, and Even (unfortunately ) before His Mom?

Morning everyone why was Momtaro being so stubborn today
Put a few bananas in Momotaros room and he'll walk right in.
Why dont they teach them sign language for foods and easy words like hello.
Meanwhile, Genki and Gentaro just want to go in the door - ANY DOOR, so they can eat. If Momotaro wasn't so dominating with the food, perhaps the keepers WOULD allow him to eat with his family! Momotaro surely is smart enough to know that. After all, he's smart enough to know and recognize the door locations. Sometimes Momotaro annoy me to no end, with his selfish self.
The silverback lives by instinct but in the end thanks to the zookeepers ,they all come out as winners
You don't understand. Momotaro is The Silverback, the Big Boss. He has rights which Mother Nature gave him. He is just doing his job.
Why not put a little bit of food in there to lure him in. With a bit of food there won't be a battle.
