i don't know about 9 but ff8 indeed need remake cause of lack of story telling. fact: ps1 final fantasy 8 game it should be like 7-8 disc according old ps1 magazine because they didn't know how to compress laguna story in 4 disc and so they came up squall as main protagonist. i hope they will do it in the long future

Honestly I always thought this was kind of a bland boss theme compared to the other FF games, but this version fixed it right up. ^^ I dunno, the original just seemed like it lacked urgency for me, always felt more like a mini-boss theme. This one seems to have a bit more oopf if you know what I mean, and definitely upped the 'ominous' factor. x'D
Absolutely fantastic, as always. FF9 will always be my favourite game of all time, it has an incredibly special place in my heart. Also I reeeaaally like the spinning Ozma in the middle, looks so cool.
I recently replayed FF9 on my PS4, Boss fights would go on and on because I “couldn’t steal anything” but was so over leveled the only way I could learn new skills was by stealing gear earlier than it goes on sale for. I swear to Atomos that when I played FF9 on the PSPGO that they must’ve altered the stats because my Zidane was stealing everything no problem. 50+ steal attempts just to get a Coral Sword that I wouldn’t be using for at least 2 hours...
now for everyone's favorite game keeping the party healed up while zidane spends an hour stealing their shit without accidentally steamrolling the boss
the song overall is pretty awesome and you can see alot of additional stuff like a choir has been added, but this version just seems somewhat flat and muffled at the start of the song.
Zidane version from Dissidia psp and NT must have been gotten his memories summoned and timewarped to world B by Materia from a different FFIX timeline than the PS1 one since he is much taller and looks way older. His eyes are also much larger in Dissidia nt than in orignial FFIX. I was left confused by his Dissdia NT appearence and why they changed him that much. They should have clarified such things in the story.
