How to remove your parking light bulb on a PASSAT B6

Hello everyone, in this episode I will show you how to change the parking light on your VW Passat B6, it is a bit difficult to get to it but with a little skill you can remove it and install the new light bulb.

I’ve installed same led bulbs as yours and they work perfectly. But on Dashboard i have yellow warning light as if there is no working bulb in headlight. Did you have simmilar problem ?

Yes, it's is normal for led. On almost any car you will have that light on your dashboard even if there is no light burned. To fix it you have to turn on your headlights and then turn it of a couple of times and the light will go away. And you have to do this every time the light appear into the dashboard.

@@HOWTODO0828 i tried for past few days doing that, but Light is still on Dashboard. I will try going to my mechanic, he should be able to Shut Down that Light permanently via vcds or something simillar.
So annoying to see this Light every time i start the car.

hi, nice video, but I have problems with only one pilot. The other one I removed as in your video. But the other one that is not working is not possible to pull this plastic, has any position or just Pull out heavy. I tried with a tool, but I brake small part in the corner. I tried many times but nos success...

You must try harder, take some long pliers and pull from the plastic piece, eventually it will come out, mine was the same when I first removed them

I'm not sure what type it's mine, I bought more pieces from aliexpress and I installed it on the car and it's been almost a year and it's still working great👌

In my passst b6 Plastic part that comes out with the bulb in it was broken in half by previous owner. Now i cannot put IT in its place as you did IT in this video. Any idea about exact name of this plastic part ?

I don't know how it's called mate, you cand try to find some spare headlights from any junk yard and take the part from them, it's easyer and more cheaper probably!

@@HOWTODO0828 i managed to pull out other broken half of plastic from my headlight. So i put up both pieces together with loctite superglue. It turned out perfect, also didn’t broke during its instalacion in headlight.

Yes that's because you don't have bixenon headlights, you have normal h7 headlights on your car, it depends from trim to trim models

the only thing i needed to know was not explained, pull it strait out, no twisting needed,, had a broken tab and struggled with it alot,,, in a pinch you might be able to pull it out by the cable, not recommended
