    There are two types of gymnasts. Those who are long and lean ballet like gymnasts like Komova and Nastia and then there are bulky stumpy ones like Shawn Johnson and Raisman. So they do whats accordingly. Sure Raisman could have better dancing and artistry but she does what's required. Raisman was actually had better dance and bar works when she was younger. Look up the parkette video if you care to see.

    This is a dumb question, but in gymnastics (more specifically, the Olympics) can you do one floor routine in the qualifiers, then a different routine in the team finals, then a different routine in the individuals? Or do you have to do the same routine in all floor exercises in the Olympics?

    Americans have less artistry and dance than Russians. I've said that many times. I like their training and back stories that got them where they are now. I like hearing the Russians back stories as well like Musta sharing a room with her younger sister gymnast. So I love my American gymnasts and like the Russians as well. I am not as critical about their dances. Some have great ones imo. They don't always have to a swan or butterfly or mime like Kseniia.

    This is so BEAUTIFUL. The tumbling is awesome, the choreography is beyond amazing, I hope she wins olympic gold. I love Aly and she's got powerful tumbling but her routine pales in comparison.
    This is so elegant and eye-catching! I'm fine with either of them winning gold though :D

    I'll never get tired of watching this routine, the choreography is awesome and her balance between elegance and power makes it perfect. I want to see her on the top of the podium -any podium- with this routine, Afanasyeva must be rewarded in some way. I hope she doesn't retire any time soon.

    The Americans don't care. But they win. That's the main reason they've been sweeping medals. The COP rewards execution and difficulty. The Russians stick to the older methods of ballet and what not. It's not going to help them win.

    The 2012 Russian team may have had the best floor routines as a whole since the collapse of the Soviet Union. And Ksenia's was the crème de la crème! Class, elegance, difficulty, variety, ARTISTRY - she had it ALL! 💗 I could just watch her prance around the floor with that divine posture! Opulence! She owns EVERYTHING! 😍

    Gorgeous routine and absolutely superb choreography. It's so sad to see that the russian gymnasts are the only prominant 'artistic' gymnasts left. Komova is stunning to watch, Mustafina has a grace that compares to no one else and Ksenia's blend of power and artistic touch is just beautiful to watch. I genuinely will be upset if she doesn't win the Olympic gold medal on floor. I mean, Raisman's tumbles are spectacular, but the rest of her routine is blasé. This routine has so much to offer.

    Maybe if the CoP actually reflected and weighed artistry, gymnasts all over the world would work harder on it. But the sport doesn't award that and it's not the athlete's fault that it doesn't. You want to see change? Challenge the organization, not the people working their butt off to compete.

    Probably not, unfortunately. She's 20 now, and Russia--like the United States--has a lot of excellent rising juniors. Afanasyeva is exceptional, but the juniors are going to be more physically capable.

    It's a little easier to find this music than her last one because the different pieces have actually been used by other gymnasts before...but I don't know their actual names unfortunately. The music in the first two tumbles was used by Peng Peng/Christine Lee and Imogen Cairns this year. The music at her first double turn is the fight music from Kill Bill. The rest of the music is by the same artist that was the main part of her 2011 music that was used by Youna Dufournet in 2009.

    The draw from Feb unfortunately puts her up 1st in order for floor finals :( Izbasa will go last just like Beijing so she has the advantage, but I hope that Afan and Izbasa finish 1-2 in any order!

    Just ignore them, the only reason they came here was to ridicule Russian gymnastics and all their fans.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Yup, everything I said is still true. Russians have nice artistry but lack difficulty and consistency. Komova got a team medal and only 1 individual as well in the AA. Jordyn didn't qualify or else it she would have gotten 1 AA as well. So they are more than tied. Jordyn does the amanar better. Vik has better bars and slightly better beam and floor. So the order would be Gabby, Vik, Jordyn and Aly and Musta tie just like the AA. But Jordyn didn't compete.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    I take that back. Gabby is still the best. She has a slight edge over Wieber. But on a good day, Wieber will win. Komova is 3rd and Aly and Aliya are pretty much tied. Aliya only has her bars to keep her up. Aly has vault, beam and floor. Well their beam are kind of even. So yeah the Russians were lucky Wieber didn't qualify. Musta would not have medal. True I don't know all of Komova and Grishina's wins but I know Jordyn has win plenty. Give me a number.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Yeah man youve gone a little too overboard with the artistry crap. You've devalued it. Dont blame the promoters for not signing the RUssian gymnasts for their swan lake routines but dont have power to stick a landing or stay on the beam. Artistic gymnastics is more of a name. Dont take it too literally. The Russians have and have faltered more often. Maybe more gymnastics and less artistry for now.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Aly and Musta tied for 3rd. A couple Olympics ago they would have awarded both bronzes. But regardless Aly got two golds. Team is always the most important. Would you rather get 4 individual golds or 1 team gold? And how about rewarding people for being strong and never getting injured? It's always the whole crap about injured or addicts bouncing back blah blah but never rewarding the ones who never faltered to begin with. USA is where it's at. Russians are second since world and London.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Did you misread that. Wieber's floor for team final was better than Aliya's EF final floor. Musta was quite shaky on the beam in team and AA. I think a fall there was worse than Aly touching the beam with her hands. Aly is still more consistent like pretty much all the Americans. This is not your daddy's day school anymore. Take the risk and get great scores. None of the simple and clean crap with great form. That's for the movies. Well some parts.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Americans dont lack artistry. They just dont have as much as the others. And Shawn Johnson was the youngest to win Dancing with the Stars. Is that good enough dancing for you? I don't watch the show because the dancing is a bit too crazy but are people able to learn there? I like her floor routines with the Irish music when she was still a gymnast. Too bad you want everyone to be dramatic with their dance and music for the Russians. Go out there and have fun.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Yup, US is still more steady and consistent with strength, power and difficulty. The Russians just have more artistry. You can see the results I am sure. Wieber got a 15.0 in team floor which would have gotten her a bronze over Aliya in EF. The difficulty got Aly 3 medals, two of them gold. No Russians got two golds. Russians amanar are all shakey. Aliya tried it a couple years ago and broke her legs. Great artistry.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    It's nice that you're so idealistic but yeah it has become about money. No one will do it for free or for fun anymore. After all the gymnasts have to pay for their training. Aliya got a free car and lots of cash for her medals. Is she going to donate them all? It is what it is and Americans are richer overall and have more funding for gymnastics all over. We are not going to apologize for it. There are countries even better off than Russia but they don't win like most of Europe.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Nope. You've got to let this whole artistry obsession go honey. It's more than tiresome now. And there's no one to blame but you. Not the coaches or American style but you. You'll never be a real gymnastics judge because they know you're not neutral. Are you telling me every single one of the Russians dance well and have great artistry? And that every Americans don't. Watch McKayla Maroney on her routines to see if she is a better dancer than the others. And I happen to like Nastia's dancing.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    All the US gymnasts worked hard to get where they are so I can't forgive them for some lack of artistry. Aly knows bars are her weakest so she makes up for the others. It tied her for 3rd and if here bars were a bit better or if she didn't touch the beam with her hands or added that last flip to her floors, she would have easily gotten 3rd if not second. I am sure if I follow the Russians stories then I'd be even more sympathetic. I am eager to see where things go from here for both nations.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Like I've been saying all this time. I am a fan of the Russian gymnasts and glad they won their medals. Now their program will get more funding. I guess it is a triumph bouncing back from 08 because they didn't medal and the program probably took a bigger hit then and they were still able to do well in London. I am not one to get joy out of other's misery. I want everyone to compete on even ground. Winning because someone is hurt or poor is not great. Somethings are just out of our control.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Russians are inconsistent from Worlds to the Olympics and so on for these past 10 years. They medal in 04 Olympic but nothing in 08. US is the consistent one like I said with Worlds and Olympics. So you agree Wieber had even more mistakes otherwise it wouldn't have been that close even with an injured Komova. That's part of the game. Can''t blame Wieber or anyone else. But no Russians were injured during the Olympics were they and US still came out on top.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    I think you think too much. Take a break maybe. Opinions are not always needed. You don't always get rewarded for honesty. So if Raisman or some get a good dance and ballet coach then they would be perfect right? I guess you're right you don't have to be long and lean to be good dancers. I would think it's harder to be a good tumbler than a dancer because there are many who can dance that are not gymnasts. They follow the code so sue them for going for hard flips. Actually sue the committee.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Wieber made the mistake on bars or else it would haven't been that close a WC. Afaneseyva was the champ on FX EF and Aly was 3rd. Now at the Olympics Aly is first and Afan didn't even medal.
    Russia and all of those broken up countries would be nice to visit but I wouldnt want to live there. You always hear about people in the US wanting to move to Norway, Sweden and such but never Russia. It's okay you can still watch our movies. Don't complain too much though.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    But still you might want to take your love of dancing down a notch so you can appreciate everyone including the lesser dancers like Raisman. It would have been better if you said Aly is a great tumbler with a lot of strength but lacks artistry and dancing instead of "yeah she's a robot" so she doesnt deserve to win like the Russian princesses.
    I was happy the Russians won their medals but you're right they dont deliver when on the big stage. Not as consistent as USA.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Oh right you dont care about anything like falls, medals, russians or americans but good dancing. We get it. That's all there is for your argument.
    Go ahead tell us about your acting history and all the movies you directed. Everyone think they are an expert at what's good story and good acting blah. You always need the deep thinking movies so people think you're smart and deep as well huh? No Twilight for you

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    You wouldn't know the first thing about good stories and good acting. You've never been involved with writing, movie production and acting. You just want to complain no matter what. And it just so happens I like Twilight. I don't expect everything to Godfather and Goen with the Wind like you. I go to movies to laugh and have fun. You just like to complain. Can't wait for Breaking Dawn pt. 2. Cmon you know you want to be like Bella. She doesn't whine as much. Or maybe she does.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    So you love the US as much as me? If so then I take back what I said about you hating it including the movies. I keep asking for you to say why Russisa is so great but you're too scare.
    And silver doesn't seem to be good enough for the Russians even though they went away with nothing in Beijing. So you're right they should be happy. We should be happy for them and the Americans. I know I am. We know you're not.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Hey it doesnt take a genius to see that you have a problem with most things especially when it comes to Americans. The ice and snow thing was just sarcasm which you've trying to throw around as well. You haven't listed anything great about your country. Not the gymnasts that's been losing to the US. How about you give yourself a psychological lecture if I am so wrong. I bet if Russia made Twilight then you'd love it unconditionally.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Dangit man you have too many problems. A lot of hate and anger. You need some good therapy. I should be doing the face palm for you.
    You know you've seen more movies from the US and even like a lot of them but are afraid to admit it. Even if you think our movies suck now unlike the older ones, Russia has never made anything. You were doing well with science and technology but you fell apart. But movies is not contest. Everyone watch US movies and shows.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    part 4
    US is the best overall. How hard is that for you to understand? It's impossible to be 1st in everything. And those polls don't include everything else like entertainment, sports, military, diversity, productions, technology, etc. It's always the usually education, jobs, birth rates, blah blah. Living to 100 in Finland don't mean much if there's not much to do. US makes great movies thank you.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    part 2
    I am sure you, and everyone around the world, watch more movies, shows and music from the US than anywhere else. US don't need to do the same from other countries because our media is the best overall. Sure there are sucky movies and shows but everyone watch our stuff. Have you heard of The Avengers, Matrix, Titanic, Lord of the Rings, Finding Nemo, etc? They wouldn't exist if it weren't for the US. I watched Night Watch and Day Watch from Russia and they were shit.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    You don't hate the US but you've never said anything nice about it. Make me think you like to complain just to complain. I really suggest you get out of your country and try living in the US for a year. I think you're more biased than just the 'robotic' dances of the US gymnasts but won't admit it. You really do hate the US like most countries around the world. It's nothing new and we are used to it. I don't think a hater like you should speak for everyone in your country as well.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    We are going in circles here. If you think gymnastics is all that matters then US has been winning quite a bit. It's a shame that you're a bit too biased. I like Russian gymnasts and their artistry and I don't mind the US with their lesser artistry. I am not that picky. Strength and power remember? The rules are what they are. They included the difficulty in the scores so that's what it is. Until they require better dancing and artistry.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Jordyn did gather herself and even gave an interview right after qualifications. Do you think Komova would have given an interview right after the AA competitions. People can cry if they want but they have to know when to stop and then start again when they go to the locker room and then stop again for the medal ceremony. Maroney didn't hug one person but she hugged everyone else even in her state so I'll give her a pass. What would Komova do?

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Hey babe, I've been doing some research and on why the US is so great overall. Yes, we have flaws but read up on what I've found like how foreigners tend to come to the US to attend universities and not the other way around. Go to google and type in "why the us is the greatest country in the world" and read the first five links, you can go on reading more, watch that video by Jeff Daniel on some HBO show as well, littlepichan can can read and watch as well, good luck

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    3)
    What I keep hearing from Europe, and now Russia, is that Americans are not very genuine people. We fake smile and give fake greetings because people are required to do it in the stores. Whether it's fake or not, the point is to keep things positive, optimistic and to pass on good health whenever possible. I would think it's more of a challenge and triumph if someone is not feeling too happy but can still be positive enough to treat others well instead of being selfish and sulking and crying.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Jordyn didn't ignore anyone. She gave hugs to whoever came to her like the Great Britain gymnasts. Her teammates understand her situation so they are okay with it. She bounced back more than okay for the team to win. I doubt Musta and Komo would be okay if they didn't qualify for AA. So what if she didn't get any individual medals. Neither did Komova really for her bars and beam.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    Everyone congrats one another on the podium. They do it to save face. But the real test is to do it during competitions. Great Britain congrats the US right after their team win. Aly went to the Russians and hugged them as well. You'll never see the Russians initiate anything. That one Maria chick is not enough. You'll definitely never see Komova going to people and congrating them. I've never seen it. It was Aly that went to Aliya right after Aliya's floor. Stop defending the Russians so much.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    If you dont mind looking back on the posts then you will see that I said early on that Russians have better artistry and lines. Not all the posts were replied to you directly. Look for the TheBourgas1 guy. Russian had more falls and were more shaky during the team competition. Same with AA and EF. That's why US finished higher with more golds overall. US is just more consistent and steady. It's that simple.

  • @tekkenfan01
    @tekkenfan01 12 років тому

    You still dont get it. US has the best and worst of everything but overall it's great if you focus on the good more and not the big population, crime, poverty, racism, unemployment, prisons, etc. Focus on the entertainment, attractions, sports, technology, diversity, opportunity, universities, military, etc. So overall that makes us great and a fun place to live. We just won the Olympics and landed on Mars. Who else did that?

    You really do have selective reading. I said US dont fall as much. That's why they won. That was pretty much the only time Maroney fell while all the Russians fell during the Olympics. Maroney hugged everyone else including the Russian coaches. Look for the videos. And yes I said Russians have more artistry and better dancing. Go find the posts. What were the other two posts you made. I missed them. Reply to me directly and don't use the @ thing so i get an alert.

    Calling Russians dancers is an insult? Maybe like you calling Americans ugly dancers? I said Russians dont have as much strength as US. They have less difficulty as well. Maybe they need more strength and they will beat the US. I think they fall a bit short on executions.
    Yeah it only counts if Europeans travel outside of Europe otherwise it's too easy. US travels plenty thank you. From LA to NY is 7 hours. So US is bigger than Spain to Moscow.

    Finding Nemo is the best selling movie? Must have been the last one you saw. Our movies are more Americans than anyone. We have cool stuff like Tron and Avengers. No other countries make those.
    You need to interact with the local people when you travel the US to know there are more diversity. Get away from the 4 star hotel and 5 star restaurant for a sec. You dont need a website. You just need to watch TV or get out there. There are something books don't teach.

    You think you're the only hard working person out there? Too bad you're too good for Macdonalds. There are more than one way to help people. I don't have to go to the south to help. What I meant was we have the most cars and freeways. We have the most and best of everything for our size and population. Guess you've never been to Florida, California and Hawaii for the beaches. Or northwest and Alaska. I put everything into the overall ranking thank you.

    @tekkenfan01 False because i have worked for every penny I have. Did you peronsally go to Mississippi after hurricane Katrina and help rebuild houses?? WRONG. USA doesnt have the best beaches, clearly youve never been out of the US. Wrong we dont have the best cars, name one good brand that is american. But I guess if you are ranking based on beaches and cars rather that education, economics and government, than yes USA wins.

    I said the Americans are decent at dancing when it comes to gymnastics. I admitted the Russians are more graceful and artistic. But there needs to be a balance of course. It's better to have more strength and some artistry than to have too much artistry and not enough strength US is more consistent and that's why they win. I think the Russians fell more than the US. China came in 4th in team.

    US is 3000 miles across. Europe is about the same. Any individual European countries that big? So yeah Americans travel all over the US like crazy. And yes we travel across the world as well. It's more of a feat for us to go to Europe than Europeans going just one country over and thinking they are so well traveled.
    Russians can do no wrong with you it seems. Their dancing will just blow away any competition but gymnastics.

    @tekkenfan01 Well id be happy to reccomend some memory excercises. Yes I do and I am not ashamed of that. I have worked very hard for what I have and am proud of that. Im not going to live my life in a shitty house eating McDonalds because I am too lazy to do anything. Of course Id have the same number of houses??? Im asking for a website that proves USA is the best country. Because you saying it is means nothing without proof.

    Americans are the most mobile people in the world. Why do you supposed the busiest airports in the world are in the US? Those Europeans countries are just pretty much like the US states, they are the same size and you don't need a passport to go through them. Just because every country speaks a few languages don't make you more special. Traveling from Switzerland to Lichtenstein makes you an international traveler in an hour.

    I don't remember you said you have a house in NY. Guess you have more houses when many don't even have one. How many houses would you have if you were back in Russia? I really don't know what website you're talking about. Stop getting off on the bad too much and focus on the good. That applies to everything. Best movies is just one of the many reasons that make US the best. And yes you can win the Olympics. What do you supposed we compete by countries?

    Yes, there are lots o people who love the US and lots who are ignorant. Nastia was raised in the US at an early age as well. Thanks for correcting my number and proving that US really is more diverse than China. Are there 16% Latinos in China? Didn't think so. I guess it was a matter of time before you show off your credentials. But don't brag too much though. Life experiences counts just as much. You've been to 43 states but you've never met any Vietnamese, Korean, Taiwanese, Laos, Cambodians..

    I know! It's too funny. ALL I said about myself was that I am Russian but live in the US. From that he says that I, live in a small town of only white people (wrong), am a minority because I have an accent (im a minority because I am half black), have never left that "small town" (wrong), am uneducated (went to one of the best school in the country), I hate the US (wrong), I am the new Nastia because I grew up here (I was adopted and don't do gymnastics...) And the rest I cant remember right now

  • @tekkenfan01

    Yes, everything i said is still true. US has all great stuff. US is bigger than all of Europe. Traveling through it is just as powerful. I can cover like 5 European countries in a day. So go ahead tell us where you've been. To the US?
    If Russians are so great dancers then they should go on the show So You Think You Can Dance and show off. That's all that matters to you it seems.

    Well considering I can say I love the USA and you cant say that about Russia than you are wrong. LOL you just admitted that the USA is not as amazing as you cook it up to be. If you were so confident in your country why would you need to tell people you are Canadian. I am never ashamed to be Russian AND American. Oh and I am still waiting for that website. Oh wait, it doesnt exist.

    A diverse country will have everyone like the US. Having one or two Blacks and Mexicans in Russia don't count. Volume counts here. Are you seriously asking where the Vietnamese are in the US? I guess you haven't been to their community in the Bay Area and Southern California. Ever met a Vietnamese? You're white just like everyone in your town so what's so minority about that? You like being the only one with the accent huh?
