    Thanks for the review. This was really helpful as my wife and I are going to Hideaway Royalty end of September 😊 I went back and watched all the other videos you guys posted showing everything you did there. Also, our travel agent booked us private transfers from the airport to the resort, now I know why lol. We’re also doing a swim out suite. All the best!

      No problem, Kyle! You will be much better off in a private transfer to and from the airport. Enjoy your trip in September!

    Thank you for this!! Taking my son for his birthday and saw a lot of mixed reviews. Definitely going to try to find private transportation 😩. Did you find that the rundown parts were more in common areas or the rooms as well?

    There are three international airports in Jamaica: Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica's capital city, and the Ian Fleming International Airport in picturesque Ocho Rios.
    Also mystic mountain is in ocho Rios which is approximately 3 1/2 hours away

    Montego Bay and Kingston are the only airports. It’s normal that transports make all those stop. You can take a cab which would cut down on the time. You really have to do your due diligence when it comes to traveling.

    Royalton Chic is Royalton’s adults only brand. I’ve stayed at their Punta Cana and Cancun properties.

    Hello my sisters. Just wanted to chime in on your great review of the Hideaway Resort, and traveling in Jamaica in general. Having traveled from Negril to Kingston and beyond, I found it best to arrange private transportation to get you every place you wish to experience. Montego Bay is the hub for most travelers. When staying in Mobay you have quick access to airport, excursions, and neighboring communities such as Ocho Rio (45min) and Negril (90min). Your airport transfer took longer because you had to stop at every resort between the airport and Negril which would double your transfer time frame. It is cheaper, but it does pay its toll on you. On my upcoming trip, my party does plan on staying in Negril, specifically because it is a laid back community. Not as touristy, but showcases Jamaica's rich local culture. Regarding the Royalton Hideaway Resort, it is on my top 5 list of places to consider for my group, although I've heard that most of the restaurants are on the Royalton's property, requiring guests at the Hideaway to travel to the Royalton for most evening dining options. Can you confirm this? Regards

      Hey, Cleveland Native! We are originally from Dayton, Ohio and Erie, Pa, which are not too far from Cleveland. Yes, we absolutely should have gotten a private transfer between Montego Bay airport and the Negril resort. But we did not know that before traveling (our travel was arranged by a travel agent). To answer your question, the "different" resorts are hard to distinguish because they are all on the same property. The hideaway guests are able to go to any area/any resort, but it does not work the other way around for guests at the Royalton. Most of the evening restaurants were on the hideaway side and exclusive to hideaway guests as well. There were a good number of evening restaurants on the hideaway side, but the walk is not far. Hope this helps!

      I stayed in MB last time I went to Jamaica, & I didn't enjoy the food & cocktails. Which probably has more to do with where I stayed. A lady I was on the plane with, told me to try Negril next time. So, that's what I will be doing this time. Just for a different experience. I'm having second thoughts now.🤔🤣

    Great Review. If, you two are interested I would be happy to share private transportation to all of the places that you didn’t get a chance to see. Private transportation from airport to hotel is a must. Go and spend the day with the Maroons it makes for a memorable experience.

    Going the end of September. Did you feel safe? Were the bedding/bathroom/rooms clean? Were the drinks good?

      @weoutheretravelandadventure  Рік тому

      Hi! We felt very safe on the resort. Our room was clean. The bathroom was sort of small, but nothing too bad. The drinks were decent, but you can order anything you want (and it was included in the all inclusive part/you don’t have to pay extra). We think you will enjoy your September visit!

    • @weoutheretravelandadventure
      @weoutheretravelandadventure  23 дні тому +1

      @@jhill7319 the nightlife at the resort was fun. The resort is all inclusive, so the drinks were complimentary. There are no designated clubs on the resorts, but lots of bars and music (they bring the djs out at night). I’m not sure which type of music you like, but they played good music while we were there (popular music of every genre, rap, dancehall, etc.)
