THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! When I learned these signs a few years ago, most of them were fingerspelled, but now I know they have a sign, which makes me so happy, especially for the long ones. THANK YOU!
you saved me again Mr. Wheeler. I needed the sign for tomato, and i was worried when i didn't see it. but low and behold you signed it for me.
Wow cauliflower might be the prettiest FS word I have ever seen!
(Or maybe your hands are just good at making it look that way!). 😀
Thank you!
I am HoH but grew up speaking English and am only learning ASL as an adult.
I have trained my hearing dog using ASL instead of English and she LOVES strawberries as a treat.
Now I can teach her the sign. 🍓🍓🥰🍓🍓
Really spinach lol that it is reference from Popeye series
love them. Im new to asl. however I wish you would sign a bit slower
There's an option for you to slow down the speed of the video too :)
Thank you!!!!
I can't tell if he's fingerspelling quickly or you actually have to sign it like that.
Fingerspelling
Some words can only be finger spelled or described, others have signs
Love this Video!!! Thank you for all you do!!!
I just love your videos. You are such an asset to so many people. Thank you for making such great detailed content.
You have some of the most beautiful signing I’ve ever seen
speedy fingers :O will practice fingerspelling receptive skills with your videos
The greatestVideo ever
these short videos are great! thank you for posting these!!!
+Billijo Emanus Thanks! I plan to do one with images instead of words for the visual learners. Be on the lookout for these! :) Also, just a side note, there are many regional and generational variations for some of the food, so the signs I used in this video are not used by every Deaf American.
That should be good! My 12 year old is deaf and I'm having a hard time keeping up with her..lol. These help ALOT!
The greatest video ever
you are a finger spelling beast
These are amazing, thank you so much! I’ll have to practice my finger-spelling to be as quick as you tho haha
Also I feel it’s such a shame so many things don’t have their own signs 😕
I know right! We need MORE signs less words but at least it makes you practice lol
What is sign for date fruit?
The brown date fruit is one of the sweetest fruit. in other word, dates refer to the fruits of the date palm tree.
great videos! the signing is too fast for me in this video and i like see some slow-mo segments how to manipulate the hands to make the signs maybe w some audio if possible. i need to slow it down when I view you.
If you click on the "settings" icon at the bottom right of the video, there's a "speed" option.
dude u learning sign language. why do u even need audio? I'm not questioning your wants lol, just an honest neutral question

A lot of words are fingerspelled. I wonder why...
Anyway great video.
Maddi M it is because there is no sign sign for them in the ASL dictionary
a lot of the signs were wrong as well
Virginity and vegetable are very similar.
Yeah, just like "work" and "sex" and "shy" and "whore"
I am HoH plus neurodivergent with dyspraxia/developmental coordination disorder, so I have to be really careful with doing the correct movements with the correct force so I don't accidentally sign something dirty.
Is there a sign for sloth?
I am not sure, but the way i sign it is i make claw shapes with my fingers and hands for animal and then i take my pointer finger and slowly drag it up my arm for slow.
So basically I am saying 'Slow animal', which is what a sloth is.
and I know you weren't asking me but i thought i would answer.
I don't understand fingerspelled signs. Who can read each individual letter that quickly
I wish there were subtitles
That's how I feel as a HoH person watching UA-cam videos since YT got rid of Community Captions (a program that allowed users to transcribe captions for creators). Deaf/HoH creators and users protested and signed petitions to stop it, but YT said not enough people used Community Captions so they got rid of it.
Now creators either have to upload captions themselves or enable auto-generated captions, and a lot don't.
Videos good but too fast! Need slower to see the hand moves better, PLEASE
Settings --> Speed --> 0.5
It annoys me that cherry and strawberry share a same sign, that could get so confusing lol
PanDaL0v3r11 strawberry has more to it than cherry.
Ya
Asl quiet
is he deaf?
Yes! That's why I watch him. I am HoH and have had bad experiences being taught incorrect ASL by hearing people. So now I only watch D/HoH ASL teachers on UA-cam.

I think you should learn all the signs for these fruits and vegetables before making a video, fingerspelling is lazy and some of the signs that you did make were wrong
some don't have signs. and asl varies a lot by region so the signs you think are "wrong" are probably just not used in your region. there's no need to be rude.
