I can never forget this tune. Facing a horde of Mancubi and then the Arachnatrons (forgive me if I spell it wrong) was enough to give an awesome memory!
P.S. ... I have all these tracks already on my MP3 player, but I remixed them with more realistic instruments and my own little flare mixed in. Holy shit what an impressive arrangement. I will never tell anyone at work I am jamming out to 1994 video game music lmao!!!
Do you have the text song from DOOM II uploaded? It played when going into the secret levels, after you beat the boss, and after a few other levels whenever you'd get text to read, like I think level 12 if I remember right. I always kind of liked that one.
0:00-0:11-your standing in front of Hells armies You start to get ready to fight impossible odds Hells armies are charging You smile that same smile as if you were picking up a gun, and you fire you weapon into unending waves of foes. your face is bloody from fighting but yet you push on with little ammo left, your only option is to meet them head on your battlecry it loud, and terrifying, and with little hope of survival, you charge in and do what you have been doing, kill, and win.
@Bravo190Charlie No, it's the same. The only levels in the GBA version that have different music were The Focus, Spirit World, and Living End (4, 28, and 29) where 4 was using the music from The Pit, 28 used Wolfenstein, and 29 used Tricks and Traps.
Quite possible, a lot of the Doom and Doom 2 tracks are instrumental remixes of real songs. The music director for ID Software's name is Bobby Prince or something, you should look him up. I dont remember the names of any of the songs, but I know a couple are from Metallica.
@g1arung late reply but, yes all the songs in doom 2 are midi mixes of metal songs. This one is "south of heaven" by slayer I believe. Map 23, I think, barrels'o'fun is "them bones" by Alice in chains. That's what I can remember off the top of my head. But yeah, it was a rippin-ass-kickin soundtrack for sure.. cheers
Nothing fucking simple about this level on nightmare....phhhht! I should have been a lawyer by now, but no...I'm a welder thanks to this game! Still I can whoop it seven ways from Sunday now, a skill that will come in handy if it ever happens...oh, right...yeah I wasted my life.
for some reason i remember level 10 music being for this level.. strange. maybe if i heard the crappy version i may remember better :) awe 32 sounds much better with more instruments.
This music goes to anything. You can do your dishes to this, sweep the floor, mop, wash the car... It just makes it better.
@Donaldshel Trumpstein yes sir.
Don't forget fapping.
I can never forget this tune. Facing a horde of Mancubi and then the Arachnatrons (forgive me if I spell it wrong) was enough to give an awesome memory!
currently binge listening to all the doom 2 tracks.... reliving old but very enjoyable and memorable times.
P.S. ... I have all these tracks already on my MP3 player, but I remixed them with more realistic instruments and my own little flare mixed in. Holy shit what an impressive arrangement.

This has to be my favorite music from Doom 2
SLAYEEEEEEEEEER!!!! \m/ \m/ \m/
+Epic Rebel I thumb uped you..because...good call...
FUCKING SLAYER!!!!!!!
Best Deathmatch map on Doom 2.
I remember playing first to 50 kills with my brother all the time.
SLAYER!
I loved this level, fighting a bunch of your-mom-cubous
The Battle of the Fat Boi
SLAYERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
umm isnt that south of heaven by slayer
Thomas Zgardzinski damn right it is
playing alone for hours with this music.. makes u a badass in the real life
YOU GOT THE SUPER SHOTGUN!
Sounds just south of heaven.
South of heaven
My favorite song. I used to play the clarinette a few years ago and tried playing this, but I rather give up all of the sudden.
I was playing Doom 2 like a half hour ago and was sitting there listening and went "bruh that's fuckin South of Heaven by Slayer"
They actually stole alot of stuff from Slayer, Pantera, AC/DC, Metallica etc.
Thats why I love Doom so much. :)
.... That moment when you meat your pregnant girlfriends dad
brinky 😂😂😂
ANIT THAT THE TRUTH
mincemeat him!
Freudian slip? 😁

*Hears mancubus growl*

your battlecry it loud, and terrifying, and with little hope of survival, you charge in and do what you have been doing, kill, and win.
i remember the music being different than this. though at the time i had a soundblaster that was not as good as awe 32
@Bravo190Charlie They left out about 10 levels and all of the music is screwed up but I still love DooM on the go nonetheless
has anyone else heard that doom guy is going to be in mortal kombat?
OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please tell me this isn't a joke.
@@nadiasmrossi7857 i hope!!!!
@@novaseer I hope NOT
@@doomguy8324 does anybody know what soundfont this is?
My favoriteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
@Frankii3
without them respawning its possible. The respawning part of nightmare is if you ask me, too bullshitingly hard.

hear the drums: it's South of Heaven by Slayer!!!!!
MUCH later, in 2007, the Overkill song overkill v the brand has an opening that is very similar.
MANCUMANIA!!!!! Oh yeah, swell times with this map, and this music, too. ;)
Every chapter in Doom 2. ;)
Can't help but mention the striking similarities of this track to the song "Eminent Domain" by Michael Harris
first song i taught myself on keyboard
Essence of evil!
Awesome. all I can really say.
Infighting!
@krazyzark
haha thumbs up and a solid funkina to that >8 >
Hellish!
@KonopKg you should hear this other remix by ashley. look it up you wont regret it
Gotcha!
I wonder why in the GBA version this music is for Level 8 Tricks and Traps?
i heard there trying to do a reboot
incredible music
simply the best music of doom 2
who did this version?
Fucking good tune. Sounds like Tool and Slayer mixed
Well, it sounds like Slayer because it is Slayer. South of Heaven to be exact..
@delinquent000 Man do You have any link ? i really want to cover that track with my friend
lol the drumming in this song is exactly the same on slayer's south of heaven song
@mariathemiccosukee
this is the hardest level in doom in my opinion. play it on nightmare ( hardest difficulty)
its like impossible
Can you get the blues when you see red? Yes you can.
South Of Heaven - Slayer. Very similar, I'd say.
Haha awesome :D
Is this a midi? Anyone know what soundfont this is? Sounds great.
South Of Heaven - Slayer

@mariathemiccosukee The Crusher is also hella good. And also... You probably dont remember making this post :D
This Sounds better in my old Pentium 1 with the sound blaster 32...hehe!
real doom 2 starts in level 7
that sounds like pantera lolllll
Alternatively, you abuse the modern engines to jump up to the finish.
South Of Heaven
Or gravis ultrasound :0)
South of Heaven :P
i played it on 1995 lol
Nothing fucking simple about this level on nightmare....phhhht! I should have been a lawyer by now, but no...I'm a welder thanks to this game! Still I can whoop it seven ways from Sunday now, a skill that will come in handy if it ever happens...oh, right...yeah I wasted my life.
i always prefered doom1's music, except for this one song.
of course its "inspired" by a metal song ;)
It would if you hade an AWE32 :-)
for some reason i remember level 10 music being for this level.. strange. maybe if i heard the crappy version i may remember better :) awe 32 sounds much better with more instruments.
this level is super hard if u put it on hard...ahaha i guess that states itself :) But u know what i mean
because you sometimes just cant recreate awesomeness, which is this game. thats how i look at it at least
