  • Easily one of the standout album cuts (non-singles) on the underrated Between the Buttons, "Who's Been Sleeping Here?" coupled the Stones' then-current Bob Dylan fixation with their own original rock style, and even a hint of psychedelia. Lyrically, the song draws on fairy tales and Dylan-inspired imagery to create an accurate portrait of a man's jealous mood. Musically, an almost-country & western feel in the melody is juxtaposed with some vaguely Chopin-inspired, descending piano lines (probably from Nicky Hopkins) that add a stately grace to the song. In addition, some of the snaky guitar work from Keith Richard predates his work on Their Satanic Majesties Requests and Beggars Banquet. This song has aged remarkably well, and indeed is a Stones lost classic.

Gracias “Zikihow”, buen aporte. Cuándo nos subes a “Fancy Man Blues” también de los Rolling Stones? Muchas gracias y saludos!
