I appreciate that Ty just let him go and just sat back. They could have tried to script him and rush tru but Coach held it together and really pulled it off. AJ is right at 86 he is still sharp as a tac
Same. He's still as sharp as he ever was. I loved him Mark May and Rece Davis when they used to do College Football Final. It was one of the best shows on ESPN at the time, and they haven't been able to match it since
Do we think lou knew about the WHAD bit in regards to the mcafee fanbase specifically? If not that was an incredible pickup from him and an INCREDIBLE work. I imagine he knew it from the stone cold origins but im curious how in depth he keeps up with the podcast
Lou Holtz is absolutely incredible and that’s coming from a Michigan fan that hates ND. Nothing but respect for Coach Lou. Big props to him and Ty. Ty is a gem
The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend.......As A Michigan fan who has a level of distain that's high for both teams all I have to say is this......Go Irish tomorrow (through gritted teeth lol) GO BLUE!!!!
yep its crazy show has somehow gotten even better. I tune in for a little, i dont even usually turn on my tv during the day and i cant turn it off i keep it on and realize its been 2 hours.
I was blessed to work with Coach Holtz and best motivational speaker I ever heard and love his magic tricks. Amazing family too. So great you had him on - brought tears and laughter and at 86 he’s amazing
OG Lou is such a living legend, I love this guy. I've hated Notre Dame football for 25+ years and there's never been a single day where any of that hate was meant for Lou. I could listen to him hype up his beloved Irish all day, this was great.
Idk but this is the first time I’ve felt serious pride in this show. Been watching since barstool , and seeing this scenario take place on a gameday set , live on espn , is just pretty damn cool. Congrats again guys.
I just have to say, walking into the dealership today and seeing Boston Connor on national TV (In Canada btw) wearing a golden retriever T-shirt is absolutely priceless, this life is ridiculous.
What an absolute treasure Coach Lou is. Always had respect for the legendary coach. After seeing this Coach Lou might be my new favorite human being...
Woulda never thought when I started watching this show and tys impersonation around 3 years ago did I ever think Ty would actually get to interview coach Holtz…. Man do I love this show and man do I love the fact that IK pat pulled every string he could to make that happen…. Love u bois man you guys make me smile everyday
What about an absolute LEGEND of a show that was today these boys dont miss. ALways entertained. Even got to see the DAWG shane gillis on the show today!
You gotta love Lou. I'm sitting in the Central Traven in Ebensburg one Saturday night about 30 years ago drinking a beer and talking to my friends. A guy walks in all fired up about life in general. We find out that he just came from a Lou Holtz motivational speech at St. Francis in Loretto, Pa. Lou has that effect. Great job.
You've gotta be real humble to do something like this, props to Lou Holtz for having a sense of humor.
I really look at him a little different now I thought this would piss him off
It ruled! 👏🏼👏🏼😂
Facts!! Its also crazy how spot on Ty actually is!
Yes and also props to Lou Holtz
I'm not surprised at all. Holtz has as has a sense of humor
Can’t believe Coach Holtz was down to do this. Legendary!
What a dawg
This is hilarious
Also surprised that Coach Holtz was also down for it. Love the energy of those two
Someone once told me your favorite coaches are just your teammates grown up.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, he respects him immensely.
I hope Pat understands how much gold he struck by getting Ty on this show😂
Ty is the show if you ask me
That 2020 draft literally kept me alive when I was dying of covid and laughter
Ty is what Pat calls "a weapon!"
Oh yeah
Ty is a DAWGGGGGGGGGG!!!
Shout-out Coach Lou for being such a good sport with all this. 11/10
top guy
The real coach Lou stole the show! Holy! I had no idea he was still this energetic
I didn’t know he was still alive.
I appreciate that Ty just let him go and just sat back. They could have tried to script him and rush tru but Coach held it together and really pulled it off. AJ is right at 86 he is still sharp as a tac
He's always been a firecracker and funny af
Same. He's still as sharp as he ever was. I loved him Mark May and Rece Davis when they used to do College Football Final. It was one of the best shows on ESPN at the time, and they haven't been able to match it since
But he got the story all wrong. Ohio State was better than Notre Dame, because they were tougher.
They got Sirianni, now holtz, if they pull off a Mel Kiper vs Mad Mel Kiper interview that would be perfect
Draft night I bet
Has to be. I really hope Kiper will go for it.@@danielc2545
Interview? Nah needs to be a
Shout match draft night
Jay Glazer vs Jay Glazer 👌
After party at bazookas
When real Lou spoke for the first time, it really makes you appreciate how accurate Ty's impression is lmfaoooo
This is absolutely magical. Including Holtz working the “WHAD.” The boys should be proud of this one.
WHADD?!?
Do we think lou knew about the WHAD bit in regards to the mcafee fanbase specifically? If not that was an incredible pickup from him and an INCREDIBLE work. I imagine he knew it from the stone cold origins but im curious how in depth he keeps up with the podcast
@@conoid21594i doubt it. The crowd was impeccable with the timing. A true testament to how many people support Pat and the boys
What is the WHAD reference?
2:48 "A lot of which we've built" and 7:09 "I hope my lisp isn't as bad as yours" have to go down as 2 of the best on the spot moments on this show.
Was waiting for the "couldnt have said it better myself" at 11:40 lol
Love it
The magic tricks were even better
The part he said "I just had lunch" lolololol
I read this comment before I got to 7:09 and felt I ruined it for myself
Coach Lou is a national treasure and Ty is a godsend for the McAfee show.
I shed a tear when I see stuff like this... Watching this show you gotta feel proud of these moments.
Truly is crazy. I laugh every time I turn on espn and see them
This show is the best thing on tv
A breath of fresh air into a basement....
That's how I describe this show. With love.
Lou Holtz is absolutely incredible and that’s coming from a Michigan fan that hates ND. Nothing but respect for Coach Lou. Big props to him and Ty. Ty is a gem
As a fellow UM fan, I know we will be united tomorrow with Lou and ND…BEAT OHIO!
GO BLUE!!!
The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend.......As A Michigan fan who has a level of distain that's high for both teams all I have to say is this......Go Irish tomorrow (through gritted teeth lol) GO BLUE!!!!
@@Dutchovenderlinde absolutely. Hope ND beats the brakes off those bumeyes
Michigan fans love making things about themselves
Lou&Lou. What a world we live in!
I just realized i dont think ive ever actually heard coach Lou speak before. I had no idea just how spot on Ty's impression was 🤣
Ah. You've missed out. He was on ESPN for quite a while. I miss the days when he was around and Rece Davis worked with him
i feel like i missed out not watching college game day all this time now. @@jimlthor
You must be young bro lou, mark and Reece was goated on cfb final.
He's been on television for almost 30 years for college football Saturdays!
you gotta love Lou Holtz for agreeing to do this.Only Pat McAfee show could pull this off lol
Coach Holtz is still impressively sharp. Old man still got snap and is still funny as hell
Imma be honest, I was extremely skeptical of the ESPN move but this has made it all worth it xD
The move was a bad decision.
yep its crazy show has somehow gotten even better. I tune in for a little, i dont even usually turn on my tv during the day and i cant turn it off i keep it on and realize its been 2 hours.
the censorship and corporate agenda will get worse with time once the honeymoon phase is over. hope i'm wrong
@@ajbased44 the third hour has absolutely nothing to do with his broadcast deal there's always gonna be a segment that's not under any censorship
@@ajbased44 well luckily u can still watch it on youtube so no reason to worry
Gold. Absolute gold. Great to see Lou Holtz still has great energy. Now Mel Kiper vs Mel Kiper at the draft would be quite something.
I'm not so sure the real Mel Kiper would near as good of sport but that would be must see as well.
Insane. Holtz is a legendary motivator. He is pure motivation and you can’t fake it. 😊
This might be the greatest interview in the shows HISTORY 😂
This made me respect Coach Lou even more, great interview!
Easily one of the top moments in the show’s history.
Lou is 1,000 yrs old and can still talk ball. Get this guy back on TV regularly
Right. I’d rather listen to him than Skip Bayless
No .lol.just no
@@John-w5g3qyeah just yeah
There aren’t enough words to describe how gold this was. Legendary
Ty by far is the best part of the show - great humor and whit

Watched this live. IT WAS ELECTRIC! Had to come back and get some more engagement on this puppy.
absolute same my man, great watch the entire way through today
If Pat didn't go to ESPN, would we get an absolutely beautiful moment such as this?
Lou Holtz really carried this segment! Great job coach!
Massive love and respect for Coach Holtz to be down with this shenanigans! I was always hoping for this meeting.
7:07 "I hope my lisp isn't as bad as yours" haha legendary
And this is why Lou Holtz will always be one of my favorites
I got chills and shed a tear . I’ve wanted this since I first heard the impression. I love this show. So happy for Ty🙏🏽
Had tears in my eyes from the moment TY starting talking
Seeing Lou brings back nostalgia from when he coached at South Carolina.
This is has to be one of the best interviews ever 😂
Officially one of the funniest PMS shows ever 😂😂 I love Ty man, this shows truly special 💙
That was one of the best bits in this shows history for those who have been here since ty started doing Lou Boltzmann impressions
“I hope my lisp isn’t as bad as yours” 😂😂😂
I had no idea that the real Lou was that funny and awesome.
This deserves an Emmy!
Coach Lou is a National treasure
Coach Holtz was a legend already, but what can we say after this interview? Amazing!
One of the greatest segments of sportscasting history. Coach Holtz is a legend for making this happen
This is the greatest skit ever...this says a lot about Lou Holtz. The man really does have a sense of humor. Props to him.
Lou still fkn has it ... This is what we didn't know we needed! Legendary!
OG Lou is such a living legend, I love this guy. I've hated Notre Dame football for 25+ years and there's never been a single day where any of that hate was meant for Lou. I could listen to him hype up his beloved Irish all day, this was great.
10:42 I fckn lost it when coach Lou said "somebody said 'how'd he do that?' perfectly i thought"🤣😂🤣
I can't beleive this happened. What a time to be alive. I'm dying laughing and it hasn't even started yet.
Idk but this is the first time I’ve felt serious pride in this show. Been watching since barstool , and seeing this scenario take place on a gameday set , live on espn , is just pretty damn cool. Congrats again guys.
This is the best moment in the shows history and it will be damn hard to beat!
If Ty weren’t so good at actually asking good questions this would have flopped so hard. Props to Real Lou for keeping up with the bit!
I just have to say, walking into the dealership today and seeing Boston Connor on national TV (In Canada btw) wearing a golden retriever T-shirt is absolutely priceless, this life is ridiculous.
One of the best interviews in the history of the show
Ty at the end was awesome, raw emotion of just joy of where this life and this show have taken him
Literally
The best interview of today's, hell this weeks shows HANDS DAHN!!!
What an absolute treasure Coach Lou is. Always had respect for the legendary coach. After seeing this Coach Lou might be my new favorite human being...

Omg! The magic tricks were amazing! What a GREAT sport Lou was with all of this! ❤ Amazing segment!!!
I had no idea Coach Holtz is that awesome
Lou holtz has still got it. I’d run through a brick wall for that guy.
Amazing. Never expected this to ever happen. Too good. Lol
God dammit y'all leave that poor old man alone I'm dead lmao
