SSI cannot but SSDI can. I had to pay back a year of SSI when I told the truth

you cannot live overseas on SSDI, if u get caught u might have to reimburse SS, and have legal problems. you can live overseas on SSDI and SS. Under SSDI you never contributed enough to SS when u were working,,,,

Yes you can get social security overseas as long as you are on SSDI not SSI!! If you get SSI you can’t get Social Security that is paid by the States not the Federal Government!!

Yes you can I live in Thailand lol 20 years and I am collecting Social Security I didn’t even need to go back to sine up I get a Direct payment straight into my account 1516 usd and I live good

I have been living in Dominican Republic for the last 10 years & never had a problem with my SSDI payment.

I haved in the Philippines for 9 years full time, my SS is direct deposited into my Philippines bank with no problem. We even have a SS office here at the US embassy to help with anything you need.
