The size and compound ratio is great on the pliers as well as the inline 1/4 bit holder, if it had a 58mm victorinox scissors and the inside tools were better it would be a top tier tool
Thank you for telling the unvarnished truth about the Chinese SOG tools !! I wish you'd documented how it arrived though... My impression has always been that half the tools are absolutely trivial add ons...
I was too tired yesterday to finish my comments on this. I also have first hand experience with this tool. All the criticism is true in the video, but there is more to say I think. The metal quality is not up to the task. The blade wears down really fast with constant sharpening. The handles need a small magnet to keep closed, but with the magnet you limit the bit driver part on the otherwise good pliers. The toolset is not even good on paper. The scissors are really bad, no secondary grind on it, almost useless. The file is Ok for the size, a bit crude, not sure about the quality. Serrated is the same as the fine blade, soft. The awl is a major issue, with the big hole next to the sharpened part, limits the lifetime and strength of the tool. The cap lifter is missing the medium flathead, due to a stupid nail nick design. Overall the tool is small, but full of sharp edges, constantly opening in your pocket. Many Swiss army knives are more pocket friendly than the PowerPint. Maybe the PowerLitre is bit better a but not much, at least there is a hook to close the tool. I recommend to do the common mods like Last Chance Knives Channel to fix some of the problems.
I have done a pock called pocket monkey that address the self opening problem without a magnet but the SOG and pocket money it was sold and will be send in Texas tomorrow. It seems that a lot of people were upset about my video because they appreciate the PowerPint but I do not consider a tool good just because is quite.
@@ArrTEH Oh, a negative comment is nothing compared a broken Nextool Black Knight multitool what ruined my Sunday. After many tools I always gravitate back to the Wave / Surge platform & their clones. Too much compromise / too expensive to mass manufacture something better. I wanted to buy another SOG, but your video was a good confirmation to avoid that mistake again. Selected DaiCamping DL1 from Poland warehouse. If you ever buy or do your tests on China MT-s ever, I will give mine as well in the comments. Have a Nice Day!
Thank you for your comments. I already have donations from 6 of the channel supporters to buy, review and modify Roxon flex, bilbury surge clone and the goat tool as an alternative to leatherman for users in Europe as it seems that leatherman is distancing inself from the users and going more towards collectors. I already have Roxon flex in my hands and started to modify it but is not a tool I will recommend for the users outside US. The other 2 are on their way to me.

Yes. I what I said. Keep the plier half but get more serios on the rest of the tools
@@ArrTEH if you gave that frame victorinox implements it would be a next level edc item

I didn't want to make a video with it. I done it just because the big disappointment with it
I can't agree more. It's a great design but the tools are complete garbage. Definitely not worth $50 or even $25 (imho).
I think all this is because customers keep quiet about it and influencers are incurage this behavior
And if a voice like koming up is not supported
