  • Hi there! We are truly excited to bring a new video from our Bushcraft wilderness site. Timing with the weather had to be perfect in order to ensure that we could visit the site without having issues. The forecast promised good conditions for us and we couldn't wait to spend a night in the shelter that we spent so much time upgrading in the fall. We couldn't be happier with the overnight stay and we really hope that you enjoy!

Hot Shelter = Happy Campers !!!! 😃👍. I couldn’t believe how much snow was around the shelter 😳. I saw how Sandra made steps going down into it. I guess all that snow helps to insulate it too. Sandra is officially the best snow shoveler I know of !!! 👍. She even made steps for the latrine 😃. Those bacon 🥓 cheeseburgers looked awesome !!! Guess I know what I’m having for dinner. That porcupine was really putting a whoopin on that tree 😳. Seeing him waddling across the snow at the end was quite picturesque. The snow falling made it perfect. Shoutout for Mike …. aways enjoy watching you process firewood. Your axe skills are top notch !!! That spring is truly a blessing !!! Great water year round 👍. All the effort you two put in building that shelter has been 100% worth it !!! Roomy , Dry , Cozy , and Warm !!! Excellent trip 👍👍. Glad I got to see y’all and I’ll see ya on the next one. 😃. Hurry !!! Lol

Thank you very much Jim! It really turned out to be a great trip. We're so happy with how the whole setup is working for us. The footage of the porcupine at the end was a surprise to us. It came from a trail cam that we setup randomly on the trail. I was stunned by how it came out perfect with the setting, conditions and lighting. I can say for the first time, I really wish that winter was longer😄. Can't wait to go back! 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️

We have winter again down here starting Friday.Hope we don't get any snow . We had some real warm days for awhile and then it got colder again. I'm ready for winter myself. At least you were able to get in your shelter. I enjoyed your video very much. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe

Who needs a gym! That was quite a shoveling workout along with all of the other prep chores. Looked like the hamburgers were the perfect high protein dinner after all of that work.
It sure was a beautiful day with the sun shining which made the snow even more beautiful. It's clear why it's your happy place! 🤗

Hi. I thought I'd gotten way behind on your videos. I had pneumonia in December and spent a week in the hospital, then my son caught the Wuhan bat stew flu.(covid) He was very nice and shared with 9 of us, so by the first of January I was back in critical care with this horrible disease. I am just now starting to feel better.
Anyway it seems you didn't upload a lot so now I'm caught up. I'm glad to see the both of you doing well. The snow is so very beautiful. It's 75degrees here in Tennessee. Those hamburgers looked great. Thank you for the videos. I truly enjoy them. I know there are two Irenes who comment. I'm the one who fell 2 years ago and broke my hip. Also the one who worries about what you eat. Lol. Stay healthy.

Hello my friends again lol lol sorry i forgot this..... I was looking closely at the floor in your cabin, And i just thought of a great way to fix it! ( right before you are ready to leave to go back home ) For starters get a pump spray bottle, add bug killer in it. PLUS two BIG bags of saw dust ( or go to a saw mill and get it for free ) Spray the floor from wall to wall..... Then add a thick layer of saw dust down..... Leave to go home and before you come back the smell will be gone and no buds! The saw dust will be great to walk on in just your socks on and it will be soft on your feet......( free joke ) >>>> where was tooth past made?.....Well we know it was made in Kentucky! because if it was made any other place they would have called it teeth past....

Another great video! You sure get a lot of snow. I live in the Fraser Valley of BC. We’ve had several days of sunny weather with about 13 degrees in the afternoon. My neighbour was mowing his lawn on Sunday the 6th.

Wow, already mowing there?!? Still at least a month or two away from that here.

So great to see you both again! And a joy to see how much the shelter has become just about perfect.. Greetings from Scotland where we’ve had a mild winter, but a lot of gales and storms!

You built a good bushcraft shelter! I favor building a straight sidewall high enough to allow sitting space on a comfortably elevated bed platform; then steeply gable roofing that structure.

    Hi guys,
Hope y'all are doing well! Again thank you for sharing your journey.
That was a lot of snow that had fallen. I love the area where you get the water. The scenery is so beautiful and the water so clear.
God bless you both and take care and be safe.
Oh, I have a question? What year did you started your channel?

Thank you very much Maria! I love the water source too. We released our first video in July 2017. Never thought we'd ever have a hundred subscribers to be honest. We are so grateful to have so many new friends to share our trip with. 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️

Hey, glad to see you back at the shelter. I'd say you were born really looking forward to it. It looks like the weather was making its mark there too. Would it be beneficial for you to get a good flask/thermos and fill it with boiling water before going to bed and then using that to make your coffee in the morning. It could shave some time off in the morning if you need to leave early. That way you could let the stove burn down at some point in the night & it's cool by morning. I tried it before with an ordinary Chillies bottle & it worked a treat. Glad you both enjoyed your camp.

Hi Christina, that's a pretty great idea. My one caveat is that I love the process of getting morning coffee prepared in the morning. Hopefully without being melodramatic😄, it really is one of my most satisfying activities when camping in summer or winter. I can't explain why, but I always feel relaxed when prepping up the morning brew and, of course, enjoying the morning coffee. I will keep your tip in mind in the future should we have to leave first thing in the morning.

@@IamOutdoorsy oh absolutely still do your brew in the morning, just keep the hot water in the flask. I wouldn't say coffee brewed the night before would taste that great at all. Have a fab Paddy's Day btw! We're gearing up for a nice long weekend in Ireland. Two national holidays tomorrow & Friday. Happy days!
