  • It was April 17th 2015 when I send a massive Duna Rover into space. I thought I'd revisit the idea to honor the passing of NASA's Opportunity rover that is now stranded on Mars.

    This is by far the most innovative and comprehensive KSP mission I have ever seen on UA-cam. This is an entire functioning ecosystem to study the planet, rotate crew, refuel, and return to kerbin. It is All REUSABLE. I am absolutely amazed. Such an inspiration.

Nothing is forgotten, and it's all practical.

    I use the Kerbal attachment system and Kerbal inventory system mods, which makes things quiet different. I Just have to try to land close enough to attach a pipe from one module to the next. It helps in refueling operations not to have to spend so long trying to get stuff connected to one another. Those the ideas used in this video were awesome to say the least.

    Why no FAR though? After coming back to KSP yesterday over two years of not playing, took me about 15 tries to launch a basic 1.25 to orbit. All due the glory of FAR that doesn't let you to fuck around what so ever. Basically you can only make a slight gravity turn at ~1km and ~ 100 m/s and than you can start making gentle touches at 20km. Like - really gentle :). Oh. And if between 1km and 20km, you don't use SAS to automatically follow the velocity vector you are also fucked.

    I don't want to put any pressure, but I'm very curious!

    • @ShadowZone
      @ShadowZone  5 років тому

      The Soviet series's status:
      All vehicles necessary are built. The scripts for 2 of the 9 episodes are finished. I want to film all in one go, as soon as the writing is done.
      Invictus is parked Jool's orbit, but I'm thinking of redoing it from scratch because I'm unhappy with a few things.
      Also, the music is not really coming along as quickly as I'd like.
      So, Russian series in a few weeks, Invictus... can't say, really.
