I need to raise an important point here. Do you realise some people ridicule the idea of reincarnation? They perhaps need to leave some room to rethink this topic, because that may delay their chances of purifying their souls for their eventual salvation if this is in fact the true purpose for humans to be here in this world.
You speak of purifying one's soul...if it were possible for man to cleanse himself of sins then there would have never been any reason for God to take on flesh and be tortured. He could have simply told us to: ' live many lives, cleanse thy-self and you'll be good to go in a million years'. That is not the plan of salvation He bought for us.
@sprokethead I don't believe one human lifetime is sufficient for humans to obtain eternal life from Jesus's salvation. There are fake Christians. We are given chances through multiple lifetimes to learn from Jesus.

In Buddhism, there are 6 Realms in the rebirth cycle. These include gods, demi-gods, humans, animals, hungry ghosts, and hell denizens. The teaching does not mention a God to create and start the beings, instead it mentions that the Karmic power of the beings determine which realm the beings should be rebirthed in the next life, and this will keep repeating until the being achieves enlightenment. The gods in Buddhism are heaven living beings and they are not the God that mentioned by other religions. Buddhism also mentions that there is no soul but there is the 8th consciousness (Alaya-vijnana which is impermanent) of the being to be rebirthed. The Karmic power of the being comes from the Alaya-vijnana and when Alaya-vijnana is being purified then the being will achieve enlightenment. In Mahayana Buddhism, the nature of everything (including Alaya-vijnana) is the ultimate reality that is timeless, spaceless and indescribable. This nature is being called "Buddha Nature" in Buddhism and it could be the God those other religions referring to.
Reincarnation is still in the Bible. In the book of Revelation 3:12, it is written, ''Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out:...." Roughly translated, this reads as, ''Him that transcends his mind will be reunited with God and shall not reincarnate....''

After spending many decades on Earth & i love Earth & nature etc i truely say i would NEVER wish to be reincarnated back here. If most things dont go in a reasonable direction here, it can be like HELL here. Money/cash doesnt help matters at all, we need a new way to trade that doesnt make ppl gready or too powerful.
