- Excerpt from a Michael Parkinson interview with the actor Richard Harris, originally broadcast in the 1970's and repeated just after his death in October 2002. Harris talks about why he collected a series of "bloopers" from his movies.
Features from:
1) A Man Called Horse - 1970
2) The Snow Goose - 1971
3 & 4) Man in the Wilderness -1971 (last clip very funny!)
Such a humble man. Laughs like a child at his own mistakes. He is missed!
He spent his last 2 years ? living at the Savoy Hotel in London, he knew he was very ill, and probably knew he ws dying.
One day, an Ambulance was called for him, he was carried out of the Hotel main entrance on one of those colapsIble mobile beds. A small crowd gathered, and some pressmen--as he was about to be lifted into the Ambulance, he shouted to the onlooker's--''IT WAS THE FOOD THAT DID IT''. naughtie man--it made me laugh, Poor old Savoy.
no wonder he was such a character....he was also able to laugh at himself.
Ha ha... I will always love this Irish man!
Late Show folks, this is what you came for... 5:31
He is sure a great actor, the best by far. None of the so called actors of today even gets close, nether afraid to speak his mind but is nether blunt, I particularly liked his portrayal of Oliver Cromwell, very stirring film, thanks Richard, I will always remember your films, you were the best actor on the planet.
The legendary Harris wearing one of his beloved Rugby shirts. One of the best actors in the world. He's missed.

I know there were private blooper reels since forever, made for fun for those 'in' on TV and film but is this the first public blooper reel? Parkison is explaining it like its an alien concept.
