..but how the hell do you put it on? Arms through the bands or no?

Hi hun, you find the inseams on the inside of the top under the armpit and as she says whilst looking back at the video and you'll see the safety pins are going from the left and right of the seams under the arm pit of the top and make sure when putting it on that the elastic goes underneath your arm pit. Instead of using safety pins get a strip of elastic strong enough measure the width of the elastic and hand stitch each end on both arm pit underneath. And believe me this is much safer than a safety pin and you'll look elegant and not an arse 'cos the bloody top keeps sliding back up.😮

Perfect solution... and if you have access to a sewing machine - even a needle and thread and a small section of nice soft elastic (do avoid braided go for the knit type elastic) this can be accomplished quite easily. Thank you Thank you!!

Thanks sooooooo much for this tip!! I did google about how to stop skirts from riding up the hip. Just used this method of yours and now wearing my skirt like some shorts, now it doesn't ride up too high! Yay!!
Make sure your elastic/pin string is not too short. You can shut off circulation under your armpit and cause dizziness! Use extra elastics as needed. FORREAL!

what kind of bra do you wear with it? does anyone else have issues with finding a strapless bra that actually provides.. you know... support?

I typically wear mine with bandeaus but wearing bras with clear elastic straps is also an option if you aren't comfortable going strapless. :-)

I tried this but was really uncomfortable. In the end I sewed a strip of elastic in both sleeves to go from arm seam to arm seam ( so the strip goes under the arm pit) works fine.

Thx to comment posters as I completely didn't understand how this worked, where you put your arms, etc. and I'm no slouch w/common sense and ABD higher education as well. So grateful several comments briefly explained more where you put your arms in proximity wise to the bands as its a great little trick I look forward to trying.

Genius hack, it goes below the armpits. I used bigger pins and didn’t feel discomfort, however if you use really small pins, you’ll find that they come undone.

I did it but ended up having an uncomfortable feeling when moving my arms a bit. I felt the pins sitting there (not poking) but is there a way to hide the feeling of the pins?

I tried this but it was so uncomfortable. I used Goody cloth elastics and wanted to remove them within an hour of putting them on. Do you think a different elastic might work better (Emi-Jays for example)?

The point is clear, this is the greatest tutorial, I have done this and it works, obviously the elastic will be under your armpits.

I just tried this and it worked but then I realized my shirt is short sleeve so as soon as I put my arms up you can see the hair ties. Are there any other tricks that wouldn't show the hair ties for short sleeve off the shoulder tops?

How do you keep it from giving you a rash? That's my problem the elastic (whichever I try) gives my armpits a bad rash and I'm in pain mid day. 😧
