Alexander - Revised The Final Cut is the master cut and needs to be seen. Also this needs to released on 4K Ultra Blu Ray!

Yo, Platoon was great. I served 2 tours as a grunt in the same AO with the First Inf Div 68-69 and the 11th Cav. 69-70. What a flashback dude!

Oliver Stone explains Alexander better than it actually is.

I could listen Oliver talk Alexander all night. I was glad he made the Hollywood Alexander story. His movie was so brave...and it challenged our thoughts of what Alexander is and means. I don't agree on many of his Alexander theories but that's not the point. Any Alexander movie made by any great director with a budget to try any approach, at best could score 8 out of 10. And Oliver Stone achieved that. I thought the movie was deeply flawed but I adore the attempt...and want to see a 3rd Cut!

I agree. It is very strange to make a film about the life of a President that is still in office.

37:33 is homophobia the reason the film flopped? If Alexander was released today, no one will bat an eye ... I love Oliver Stone. Very important fillmmaker.

@lanser87 in what way does oliver stone explain it better?,with his film wich shows only %1 of Alexanders life?.with he's choice of charicter as collin feral to potray the greatest warior of all time?.you got to be kidding.i liked the movie as well, but no way was it a better explanaiton of the greatest story ever told.

The best film about the Vietnam War is In the Year of the Pig by Emille DeAntonio.

@TRUEMAN8919 Hi. Thought I'd let you know, they have these new things on your keyboard now: One is called punctuation and the other is the shift key. Thought I'd let you know.

Alexander doing poorly didn't have anything to do with the portrayal of bisexuality. It had to do with bad story telling, bad acting, and bad battle scenes. It was a mess in all areas. Stone just can't get over it.

I liked the battle scenes but the CGI was not great. The lead actor did a horrible job which Stone admitted in another video.

No, I'm saying Oliver Stones film fell short of history.
Stone always tends to explain his films beautifully but when you see them they aren't exactly on the epic grand scale Stone portrays.
