Good point about keeping an eye on charging batteries and outlets. It’s also important to make sure you’re getting what you’re paying for. There’s a ton of counterfeit batteries and chargers out there for DeWalt, Milwaukee and the like. The cheap battery and chargers deals on places like eBay or even Amazon are more than likely counterfeit and quite often over charge or charge too fast which will cause batteries to overheat and explode/catch on fire.
I have a booster pack and I used to have it on charge all the time. Now I only charge it while I’m in the vehicle and can react quickly to a problem should it arise. I can not say that it’s good practice to charge them as I don’t want to get sued by someone who has an incident so, don’t charge these batteries in your vehicle. Lol
A mechanic we have hired over the years to work on some of our farm equipment ( he is an X John Deere dealer tech ) has run Ram trucks with the mechanics box and he has the rear seat out of his crew cab and Milwaukee chargers mounted on the rear wall of the interior so they charge as he drives. I always wonder if one day something might go wrong with a battery and him loose his truck in the process. On that topic I wonder where a person should store a battery booster pack in a pickup, the newer more compact lithium units for example. If its safe to store it under the rear seat or if it should stay in a dedicated carry case in the box and if its safe at all to slow charge it with USB-C in the cab ( while under supervision )
That’s insane! Would never expect that to happen, thanks for sharing this 👍🏾
That’s a bummer thanks for the heads up 👍
Wow. I'm surprised it wasn't a complete loss.
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing this.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Well that sucks. The smell of burnt plastic and seat cushion will be in there forever from not doing the carpet and headliner.

I charge all my batteries at home
Looks like a Ram?
Wow, what a mess. Was the charger using the inverter 120 AC outlet or the 12 volt outlet?
Yes it was
