Great teaching once again...thank you Gabe!
A couple of passages came to mind when you brought up about us (raised saints) shining our light in the New Jerusalem, namely:
Mat 13:43Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
    and
Daniel 12:2And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above;a and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

You’re exactly right, Gabe! I always thought that there would be a continuation of kings over nations in the Eternal Age, just as it was in the Millennium.
I also believe that there will still be a “land of Israel” on the New Created Earth. In Genesis 17, God tells Abraham that He gave him that land as an “everlasting possession”.
Also, in Jeremiah, God declares that Israel will never cease to be a nation before him.
So I believe there will still be an allotment of land called “Israel”, whose borders will extend outside the Eternal City.

Great lesson. The constant commercial interruptions were numerous. Not sure who controls that but I had at least 7.

Apologies for that. I wasn't aware that there were that many interruptions, that seems gratuitous. But you can at least rest assured that the revenue being generated by those ads is being used by our ministries on the ground in the Middle East, so it's for a good cause. :)

Thank you FAI for your teachings.
I have a question. In Revelation 20 tells us the death and Hades gave up the dead who were judged and thrown into the Lake of fire with Satan and his fallen angels. Now in Revelation 21, the New Earth and New Jerusalem; the new Jerusalem has doors and only those who are written in the Book of Life will enter, not the unclean and those who do what is detestable or false 21:27
Does it mean in the New Earth, will there still be wicked people? Or say bad people?

    • @rhondabelles7843

Consider that New Jerusalem comes down at the beginning of the millennium, then it makes sense there would be wicked. Maybe Rev 20 finishes the narrative of what happens to Satan, then Rev 21 goes back (it mentions one of the angels that had one of 7 bowls showed him, Rev 21:9) and describes a new topic (New Jerusalem/Bride).

So, are the gates in the new heaven symbolic because there are no sinners in the world at this point? Why does the new heaven need gates?

Gabe, you were discussing that there will still be nations and governments within those nations for all eternity. I do not doubt that there will be various nationalities that still exist, however how do any of their governments continue to exist in light of I Cor 15:24-28? It states in verse 24 "Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power."
It seems that all rule and every authority and power has been abolished by the time of the new heavens new earth and NJ take place...and I suspect throughout the rest of time ...but maybe I am not understanding it correctly?
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks! :)

I think what it means is that all this present age authority and power will be gone - done away with
There will only be one ruler and that is yeshua from the city of Jerusalem but much like when Moses brought the children of Israel out of bondage in Egypt - Moses set up leaders in each of the 12 tribes to be guides to them but Moses was in authority
Under jesus( yeshua’s) authority will be the 12 apostles each one overseeing each one of the 12 tribes of Israel
And so I think that will extend to the rest of the nations - Jesus ( yeshua) will be the ultimate ruler over all but the ‘saints’ of the gentile church will be overseerers of the gentile nations- the ones who have proved themselves worthy to rule and reign with Christ
But ultimately they will all be under the authority of yeshua ( Jesus) as king of kings and lord of lords
And He shall reign forever and ever
And God (YHVH) the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob and the God and Father of yeshua ( Jesus) will at last be able to dwell with his people and be their God and we will be His people
      Into endless ages

      @@odettehunt3766 Thanks!
My understanding of "this evil present age" is that it will come to an end through Christ's second coming. The seven years leading up to His coming will bring an end to the great harlot (the world system of commerce, the love of money (wealth) which leads to all kinds of evil, and the serving of mammon rather than God) as well as the beast.
After these events and others Christ's will establish His Kingdom upon the earth with the saints helping Him rule over the nations (mortals) for 1000 years. We are told that the disciples will rule over the twelve tribes of Israel (Mat 19:28). The rest of us will rule over the nations during His kingdom (I Cor 6:2, Rev 2:26-27). In effect all resurrected/glorified saints will help rule the mortals (the sheep and their offspring) who go into and repopulate the earth during this time.
It is at the end of this millennial kingdom period that I Cor 15:24-28 seems to refer to. I Cor 15:24Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. 25For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27For “God has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. 28When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.
So it does seem by the time we get to the new heavens and earth that every rule and every authority and power is done away with (based on I Cor 15 above).
In the age of eternity, the new earth will house both God and the Lamb and God's children in His new paradise. These are those of the first resurrection and anyone who's names were found written in the Lamb's book of life at the great white throne judgment. There would no longer be any mortals residing in the new creation.
That said, I can see us still ruling over His works in the new creation just like Adam and Eve did in Eden (Gen 1:28..."subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”) but I have a difficult time thinking that we would rule over each other as eternal beings, all being perfected children of God.
That's kinda how I understand it anyway...

@@audioillustrator5338yeah i agree i dont get how we need people to rule over us in a perfect world ? You would think the reason to have rulers is to keep peace and help with disputes but would you have this in the eternal kingdom?

@@1love1hope1faith Hi, yes I really do not see the need of national governments made up of resurrected saints that rule over the saints in the eternal state. This concept seems strange to me in a state of perfection.
Maybe in the same way, we are already told that there will be no marriage or given in marriage in the resurrection (Luke 20:24-38) which means a couple of things...namely, a woman (wife) will not be governed or ruled over by a man (husband) having authority over her in an abiding covenant. There will be no need of it. Another way of saying this is, the law of marriage is abolished. In fact I believe that all law will be abolished since we are already told that the law is made for sinners (I Timothy 1:9understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners...") so all who live with God in the eternal state will be perfected (Hebrews 12:22-24) hence there is no need of law over us since we are perfect and sinless.
God's law will be written in our hearts for sure (an attribute of the new covenant) so as best as I can understand, I think that the eternal state will be more like a bunch of Adams and Eves (from all tribes tongues and time periods) built with perfection living amongst their creator in a paradise that lasts forever. He will be our king, yet all other rule and authority (except for His) will be done away with (I Cor 15:24-28). I believe then that the eternal state will be one where everyone will serve one another from an outpouring of love on behalf of others.
By the way, we are told that the greatest love we can have is to give our physical life on behalf of another (in the act of dying for another for their benefit) however, in the eternal state, where no one can die any longer since death has already been cast into the lake of fire, what will be the greatest act of love we can bestow on another then? I have a few ideas, but for now I will keep them to myself.
Anyway, these are some of my thoughts about this subject and scriptures that I feel support these thoughts.
What do you think? I'm always interested to hear what other people think about all of these issues of the future. :)
      Thanks!

Explain how OMNISCIENT GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT DOESN'T KNOW THE DAY OR HOUR? You can't, it is impossible for an omniscient being not to know the day and hour. The Trinity is a fruit cake lie bros.

    • @treasurevessel
      @treasurevessel 7 днів тому +2

      Good grief. No, it's not.
Matthew 24:36. "But concerning that day and hour no one KNOWS (οἶδεν, from the root εἴδω), not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only."
      The Greek word,
εἴδω, "know" here is not talking about cognitive awareness only. It is speaking, in context of making something known. In other words, the Lord Jesus and the angels are not the one who makes known the day or the hour, but that declaration is only for the Father. Of course the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit know the day but there is hierarchy of authority, not essence within the Godhead. In 1 Corinthians 2:2 the Apostle Paul says that he decided to know nothing except Jesus Christ and him crucified. Do you really suppose that he was able to erase all memory out of his mind except Jesus and him crucified? Absolutely not. He is saying that he has decided to make known nothing but Jesus and him crucified. The same Greek root word is used in both verses to speak of the same declarative knowledge.
1 Corinthians 2:2 For I decided to KNOW ( εἰδέναι, also from The root εἴδω) nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
Hope this helps and I pray that you would come to embrace the beautiful, biblical complexity and unity of the Godhead/ Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
