04 Quartet interlude & Hawk

Begun by Steve Berry (RNCM Head of Jazz & Improvisation) in 2020, this ensemble does a yearly performance project, working with a guest director, or in this instance, guest directors.
The ensemble's entire purpose is to explore the possibilities of improvisation in a group context, sometimes involving repertoire as the seedbed, sometimes entirely unscripted.
In case you're wondering, the ensemble's name is an acronym, giving more than a clue about our intent - 'making it up as we go along'.
