considering MTN here in SA are charging R70 rand less than the S23 ultra. ill take the ultra, or the mate 50 pro (512GB) at the same price, P60 pro at R20 less or if I really want to save money the Honor Magic4 pro for less than half the price. Unfortunately OPPO thinks that this device is top of the range here in SA and are now pricing it as such of which it cannot compete. I currently own a Reno 8 Pro in "Glazed Green" ( more like glossy green) and this will be the only device I own from OPPO. The Reno 8 pro series had its own unique look and mix while not costing too much, this device looks like the Huawei nova 9 at double the price and if I wanted that I would just buy a Huawei.
At R22 999 retail price here in South Africa, you could get a proper flagship from Huawei/Honor/Samsung instead of this almost-flagship. Oppo South Africa's pricing is crazy.

I wish Opp Reno had a flat screen inside of curve screen. Also I wish the Reno had more colours available. I wish the frame around the phone was not plastic instead of metal. If the phone had a IP rating and wireless charging, It would be winner. The front camera is the weakness camera. Ice on the cake would be if the phone had SD Slot

You can have a import google pixel 7 pro 256 for that. etc etc... so many choices for that price point. 800 dollar-euros buys you plenty of last year flagships brand new. Not the great value proposition that may look up to be at first glance this oppo
