I'd go with a larger tail light which is safer for others to see. And I'd switch it to an LED so the vibrations wouldn't make it burn out prematurely. Those stupid looking bars have to go too. Not only do they look out of place, they don't look too safe.
What a lovely comment thank you so much! I think Ill stick with the way I have it. An LED may make its way in there if I can find a compatible bulb. I LOVE these bars as they fit me, were a great way of repurposing parts, are 100% chopper in spirit, and haven't let me down.
Cool video Sweet bike !! My first bike, back in the early 90s was a xs650s which I made into a cafe before it was a thing. Because of your bike, I want to get another one and make it like yours . Nice work 👍🏻🇺🇸
lol thank ya! I've been wanting to get the bike back out as this was the last time I rode it. I want to do some carb tuning on it and address a steering issue.
The best I can offer is to first check valve adjustment, then, float levels, mixture screws being the same, then carb sync, before going to jetting. Make sure its not a simple issue first.
The joke is the Honda lettering. Its different, doesn't make sense, and has a ton of character. It wasn't the original plan to use it but rather started as a gag photo that go out of hand. The paint stays lol. I do ride a unicycle!
New sub, been on a bit of a binge, you make some great videos man keep up the good work I'm seriously amazed that you dont have more followers. Look forward to your channel blowing up
George I had to go back and rewatch this as you had me curious. You were right! It's been so long since I modified that light I can't remember how/why/where I found the socket. It is something I can modify for sure.
Amazing build, such a great look!!! Are the bars flexing when you're riding? I'm not sure if it was my eyes after thinking a little crossbar (BMX style) would look good... Regardless, and again - amazing build!!!
Thank you much. I haven't noticed any flex. I had considered and fabricated a crossbar when I made these but never put it on as I just loved the looks without. I made a locking system to prevent rotation.
Well that depends on expectations id say. XS650s buzz quite a bit but they have their sweet spots. I like riding it but its not my commuting bike by any means. Also this being a rigid with no sprung seat its even more aggressive but again its fun. You don't build these to daily
Thanks lol. The tank happened by accident. I had a friends atc 90 in the shop and was moving things around one day when I set the tank on this bike and took a pic. People chimed in saying they liked it so I just cut it up and went with it. All in the name of fun

@@BrickHouseBuilds Haha what an idiot I like everything he doesn't hahaha
Those bars are killer though
Yo bro, you wanna teach him how to ride to? Stfu like his bike or not . With a painter tag name . Clown
Cool video

Oven-cleaner works-well on plugs , clean, dry-off , even chuck them in the oven (fan-bake) for a bit after . Dave NZ
Love the bike. Clean your plugs with a blowtorch, only takes a couple of minutes.
Such a cool looking bike. 😎
Thank ya!
👍 that’s pretty good,,,,,, nice harmonica music playing also
lol thank ya! I've been wanting to get the bike back out as this was the last time I rode it. I want to do some carb tuning on it and address a steering issue.
Looking for carb adjustments for a 76 Yamaha 650 ,34mm carbs, left side spark plug fouling
The best I can offer is to first check valve adjustment, then, float levels, mixture screws being the same, then carb sync, before going to jetting. Make sure its not a simple issue first.
Sweet bike man!
Thank you! I love it
Awesome bike! And JIS screwdrivers!? Nice.
Thank you! JIS drivers are an absolute must!
I really dig your xs, the old Honda ATC90 tank in bitchin'
I appreciate it! The tank is the talking point for sure. Just started out as a joke and ran with it!
I likenall the little details on that bike. Are the handlebars off a Honda Mini Trail bike?
They are actually the stock bars that I cut, flipped side to side, and welded to some solid risers!
@@BrickHouseBuilds super cool.
Nice bike but I wish you would repaint the tank to get ride of the Honda lettering :). Do you ride unicycle?

Nice bike and good video!
Thank ya Will! I need to make some more on it

Thanks Alex, I'm a young channel for sure at just under a year old. Its growing for sure 👍
@@BrickHouseBuilds you deserve the subs for sure brother
Hey , did you know back in Day like 1995, that there was an 1100cc big bore kit for the xs650 ? Loving the videos . Cheers
I didn't know that, thats huge lol
NICE How Much" love it.
Thank you! Are you actually looking to buy one?
@@BrickHouseBuilds what would one like that cost.
@@davido662006 I could sell this one(don't want to sell it but would) for 10k or build one for that amount. Lots of fabrication and detail touches.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR CHOPPER! WHY DONT YOU JUST GET A DUEL ELEMENT SOCKET?
I did. I welded that socket into the old housing to work with my chosen dual element bulb
George I had to go back and rewatch this as you had me curious. You were right! It's been so long since I modified that light I can't remember how/why/where I found the socket. It is something I can modify for sure.
What hard tail frame is that? Looks the goods!
Thanks James, its a TC Bros hardtail. I have an intro video on the bike where I walk you through what all its features are
Is this a custom frame you built or can I buy this frame? It has just the look that I would tear my stock 79 xs650 down for . Thanks
This is a stock front frame half with a tc bros hardtail kit.
@@BrickHouseBuilds thanks for the reply, looks good !
Hey man sorry to bother you again but since I'm really digging the look of this bike I forgot to ask what is the size of the fork extension ?
Amazing build, such a great look!!! Are the bars flexing when you're riding? I'm not sure if it was my eyes after thinking a little crossbar (BMX style) would look good... Regardless, and again - amazing build!!!

hey i love this bike but i never rode one ..how are they to ride?

Are those extended fork tubes? If so how many inches?
I have a full breakdown of the mods in this earlier video. Also in the description of it as well. ua-cam.com/video/SkY-9xuRbbo/v-deo.html
How does it do on today's highway speeds?
I dont ride it on major interstates. Would be very buzzy. I don't trust drivers on the highway in my area either
Hell yeah ✊
Just checked out your channel and like what I see! Subd'!
Hey i appreciate that! Keep killin' it man, great content 🙌
Subbed also btw lol 😉
Beatiful sometime
nice
Nice Chopper what's the deal with Honda on a gas tank just to fuck with people
