Total Drama Island was notorious for direct vulgar sex humor that seems to straight up appeal to teens and young adults rather than pre-teens and younger! It did felt uncomfortable and embarrassing for me as a kid, especially when my parents were nearby and get shocked but I enjoyed everything else about it. I'm actually surprised that it still continues like that for so long even though it seemed to getting milder over the years. Although direct sex humor in kids' media had always been pretty common in foreign countries for decades as discussion about it were seen as something natural and every kid giggles at willy/fanny jokes very openly as it's just an organ to pee with for them. Denmark and Japan (the kodomo demographic) are some examples. MLP is very mild in comparison to all mentioned above and it's just their own dirty minds that think there's something special about it. They see what they want to see!
