I wanna see Haaland vs Mbappé!
You guys didn't watch Real Madrid's preseason games... They've already changed their system, with Bellingham being the linkup between the midfield and forwards...
Its nice to think he was doing all of that unselfish central work for PSG. In reality he was constantly occupying the same left half space as Neymar leaving a gaping chasm in the centre, and when Messi filled it, that in turn would leave a gaping chasm down the right. Everything else is spot on though and I too have often wondered how theyd incorporate/get the best out of Vini Jr and Mbappe in the same team
He wasn't occupying anything. The left half space was always Mbappe's. Neymar would play on the left if they wanted to overlap. He only started to really play centrally when Galtier came and it was terrible. Season started off well like every PSG season and then came to a grinding halt.
Before the pre-season Ancelotti was rumored to play a diamond 4 in the mid and two up top, Vini + Striker. I think M'Bappe fits there perfectly and in the preseason it helps as it gives more room for Bellingham to run and not just look for through passes. Also this gives M'Bappe more freedom. Rodrygo was literally moving around all game vs Man United and not stuck toa pivot role. Also Madrid, with Bellingham and even Vini, will play a lot to filter balls that M'Bappe love to run into. If there ever was a Madrid to join its THIS one for Kylian.
I think because of the freedom Real offers with a not-so-strict tactical system he would fit in well as a 3rd attacket. Don't need to think of him as a CF, because of the fluidity of Real's front line. I believe his playing style and need for freedom on the pitch fits in perfectly with Real
Great analysis, Great insight, but can you keep the analysis Board on screen (full Screen) for longer period while explaining? It helps Helps understanding of your analysis.
Mbappé dont want to be a giroud or pivot, but he want to be a CR7 more freedom and score more goals. I think mbappé will join Madrid next season for free 😅
Ronaldo was a pure winger at united and changed to a goal scorer at Madrid, Bellingham at Borussia was not a goal scorer, now he plays advanced positions, Mbappe will absolutely fit
Psg the one that put themselves in this position. Giving player option to Mbappe to extend when everyone knows he wants to go to Madrid. Now they use media to label Mbappe like the bad guy... So when Mbappe do not want to extend, he's suddenly the bad guy? I dont think so
Doesn’t the RM formation with Mbappe basically contradict everything that was said by Mbappe being utilized to his fullest. He’ll basically either be the #9 (Giroud’s position) which wouldn’t be the best use of him or he’ll have to fight for the LW spot with Vini with Joselu as the #9. It was mentioned that positional problems will only arise when “teams sit back against RM”, but with Mbappe & a star-studded RM every single team they play will be sitting back unless they’re either Bayern or Man City.
Ronaldo had benzema facilitating as the 9. Never did his best work as a lone forward, not even at juve. Mbappe wont have a facilitator as things stand, at Madrid
Mbappe fits in perfectly if you ask me… he can actually drop in the mid to distribute and can roam anywhere on the field pretty much if you watch him play.. a lot of ppl try to say he can’t fit in but the reality is Mbappe is an elite dribbler, and can also move very freely as a false 9
@mannytams4984 what you wrote in original comment-can drop mid and ditribute, can roam freely, great dribbler is exact words that describe all 3 players. Only difference between them is mbappe is much better finisher while rodrygo and vinicius are much better dribblers and distributers of the ball. Real needs nuber 9 like kane or haaland. Not another rodrygo or vinicius
Best formation for RM to accommodate Mbappe is 4-1-2-3: ST Mbappe/Joselu, LWF Vini/Brahim, RWF Rodrygo/Valverde , LM Camavinga/Ceballos, RM Modric/Bellingham, CM Kroos/Tchouameni, LB Mendy/Nacho, CB Alaba, Rudiger, RB Carvajal/Militao.

As a Barcelona fan what i get out of this is ... we're f**ked. Still can't believe they can afford both Bellingham and Mbappe not to mention the Bernabeu. I mean damn that's some good financial management if that's the case
Great to see Don on camera - good charisma!
The scariest part of mbappe linking in the midfield when RM are in their own end is that once he makes that pass he can head for the oppositions back line so fast , the counter with him and vini with passes from kroos and modric will be terrifying
Thanks for explaining that. Most media outlets have just been saying he doesn't want to play as a centre forward. This makes a lot more sense.
It was a slap in the face to those who believed Real Madrid must sell players to sign Mbappe. As always, a fantastic video.
Spain is the sponsor of Real Madrid, they don't have to sell players because they just ask for more taxes

@@DeadGivawayThat's not true... Madrid is independent from the crown for more than 50 years.
They just bring a lot of revenue from merchandise and ads. There's not even a single PL club that brings as much money in merch like Real Madrid, and that's saying a lot.
When Cristiano Ronaldo was bough for 90 million in 2009, Real Madrid made that same amount with Ronaldo's merch in less than the full season
The best thing to do when dealing with Mbappe on the pitch is to understand that he’s not a lone striker and if you play him as such you greatly diminish his abilities. It’s the same thing with Ronaldo, but for some reason, their managers refuse to see it
Mbappe’s heat map last season was almost identical to Benzema’s. He’ll take up the Benzema role and he’s actually best suited to replace Benzema. He’ll be just fine at RM
Well admittedly they bring that up pretty early in the video, where they quote Mbappe saying that he doesn’t like sticking in the center as much, and would rather be more free and mobile.
I bet that Mbappe joins next year and we either see a front 2 of Mbappe/Vini Jr, or a free-switching, fluid front 3 of Mbappe/Vini Jr/Rodrygo
Harry Kane is better as a replacement for Benzema than Mbappe. Mbappe is a better winger but we don't need wingers
@@patrickmccormack3209 Mbappe will take up the Benzema role where he can roam around the attacking third, drift in from wide and link play up with Vinicius and Rodrygo.
Absolutely no problems and in fact, Vini-KM duo can in due time surpass Vini-KB duo given the age profile
Oh and as a side note, he’s coming this year not next 😉
@@tshepokotelo3162 Harry Kane is very similar to Benzema in a lot of aspects but a Mbappe is much younger, much higher ceiling and also extremely similar to Benzema as well.
@@ArjunMylvahanan Mbappe isn't similar to Benzema at all, they play completely differently. Mbappe is younger but he is also immature (unlike Harry Kane, who solely wants to win trophies). Harry Kane is more similar to Benzema than Mbappe is. Mbappe's best position is as a winger, not as a false 9 (which is the type of striker Madrid needs in order to avoid changing their playing style). I wanted Haaland, not Mbappe but I'll settle for another striker aside from Mbappe but as a Madrid fan I can't respect my club if we sign Mbappe (it will be a repeat of the Gareth Bale situation again). Signing Mbappe is disrespectful to the club and it's fans
Remember there was a time Mbappe played on the right, when he was still humble 😅

What players do you regard as humble?

I can see Vini Jr. and M'bappe literally running into each other. They are the same. He just doesn't add $200m worth of value.
The pivot player in RM is Rodrygo, when playing 433 and he likes to play those 1-2 with the striker.
He’s more of a 10 than a striker
The main problem is that front 3
They’re going to be too dangerous it’ll be unbelievable

I’m a Barca fan… but the thing I love about sport is to see and achieve excellence. I would rather see Mbappé go to Real Madrid than Saudi… that would be truly tragic at this stage of his career. The pro career is short… very short, you won’t get it again. He will make enough money to live a lavish life regardless of what he chooses… try for goodness sake to reach your potential. I wanna see Haaland vs Mbappé!
Real signing playrs based on name value and not on logic.....OH MY WHATEVER WILL THEY THINK OF NEXT???
No wonder the best moment of Mbappe's stay in PSG was when he played with Icardi
Brilliant analysis. I learned a lot about how Mbappe plays for PSG and France. Thanks.
I love this Don Ma guy

Kinda same problem when RM bought Bale. He was the best on the left, where they already had CR7. Did not make much sense.
JJ is so good at tactics with that screen I'm surprised he hasn't been poached by the military, or the Minority Report guys
Mbappé dont want to be a giroud or pivot, but he want to be a CR7 more freedom and score more goals. I think mbappé will join Madrid next season for free 😅
Shout out to players like Firmino and Giroud, who make all these flair players tick and make the entire team better.
Ronaldo was a pure winger at united and changed to a goal scorer at Madrid, Bellingham at Borussia was not a goal scorer, now he plays advanced positions, Mbappe will absolutely fit
fantastic video, refreshing to see someone who gets it. That Mbappé fits, that Madrid can afford him, very nice
JJ kit in the back so cleeeaaaan. You know that jersey belongs there if you know ball.
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS.
Psg the one that put themselves in this position. Giving player option to Mbappe to extend when everyone knows he wants to go to Madrid. Now they use media to label Mbappe like the bad guy...
So when Mbappe do not want to extend, he's suddenly the bad guy? I dont think so
Don’t care about the analysis, just wanna see JJ happily drawing lines on the tactics board
I'm starting to think this is the best channel on UA-cam. Is that right? It feels right
Bro ronaldo was not a striker before coming to madrid but he became a strike. In paper he was left wing but he played centrally in games.
same at Utd actually he came in centrally from the wing. Some games he played up top like their CL final against Barca
Ronaldo had benzema facilitating as the 9. Never did his best work as a lone forward, not even at juve. Mbappe wont have a facilitator as things stand, at Madrid

All Kylian needs now, is ACL and/or knee cap injuries like Cristiano, R9 and,VV Dijk and he'll be done speeding.
With Mbappe Real is going to be seriously damaging. Even City has to be shivering.

interesting, so in other words PSG should have sold Mbappe when they could and used the money to make a Messi/Neymard team that actually can defend...
Mbappe should go to the premier league so the rivalry of him and haaland can begin
I feel we will change the formation...
We will change it to 4-2-2-2.
With camavinga and tchoumeni playing double pivot and Bellingham/modric and valvarde/rodrygo playing wide midfield.

What about false 9 where he can drop deep roam have all freedom and be up front. It is very hard to execute false 9 as we would need not only a worldclass striker but a mobile skillful machine which mbappe could like messi did under pep.

The issue with the diamond 442 is that it forces vini to play more centrally which isn't where he shines. If mbappe joins I see us going back to a 433. Possibly even with valverde as an inverted rb if we decide to play a more possession based system

there is a catch, RM stated this pre-season playing a narrow diamond, ancelotti is trying to bring old his old milan formation, they are aving some issues on the pressing but its clear ther are preparing some changes to accomodate bellinham as a AM with full freedom and a striker duo, with could adjust easily to mbappe style of play (praying here that all this situations resolves next season and not this to give rodrygo a chance to demostrate that is a better player than vini)
THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP RETURNS!!
I really struggle to see how Real would accommodate both Mbappe and Vinicius in their ideal positions. Mbappe already had his run ins with Neymar over the preferred left flank. In this instance, PSG sided with Mbappe. So what about in Madrid? He goes central? Doubt it. Vinicius? None of them are great in the middle.
IMO a perfect transfer if it's for free considering the wages. Terrible transfer if they pay 200m to PSG to basically replace vinicius.

@@goonerOZZ we don’t mind paying that 200 signing on fee
