- Behringer has released Firmware V4 for the X32. This update brings some amazing features like 1 to 1 patching but also changes the look of the menu structure. I am putting out a full new series of training videos specifically on version 4 firmware! This is the fourth video in the series and teaches how to route an input to a channel.
Keep an eye out for more videos coming shortly and make sure to check out my blog at www.dbbaudio.com for more free training and tutorials.

Hey Drew
I learned everything about x32 by watching all your videos. You made learning easy. Great work.
Hi Drew,
This new firmware series is great. I'm really looking forward to more. I hope all is well, as you were on a roll and we've not had anything since this video.
Thank you for the video. This helped get me over the hump, and figure it out. My new X32 Producer is great, but this digital world can be complex at times.
Thus is awesome! I moved an aux from the 3rd layer to the top and cut down on having to switch layers. Also took advantage of using gate/comp by move the source.
Hi Drew, can you make a tutorial explaining how to create a mix for Live Streaming? Send audio to a camera o phone.
Tnx sir.. nice and clean... looking forward to the next one.. oh and also the wing...
Love the videos. But I'm a bit lost. I'm trying to hook up the x32 to logic using x32 edit. I can hear the channels when recording is enabled in logic. But I can't hear them with logic shut down even though I can see levels in the 32-edit interface. I'm missing something. Have you done a video to help with this?
Thanks Drew
Hi all. Would like to know if I can use Allen and Heath Me-1 on the x32
can I link a channel to an output instead? for example, I want to have a click track but it can´t be heard on master speakers, only on players phones
I have a group of faders that are not engaged for some reason..how do I check the "tap" in the signal flow that would allow the mute and the fader to work on the inputs?? These 7 channels are coming from S32 Digital snake. All the other inputs on the snake WORK FINE..
Hey Drew I have a question, do you know of any way to use an X32 at a FOH location and wirelessly control an X32 Rack and/or S32 snake, maybe a Master/Slave situation over wifi or otherwise? My band plays in places varying in size shape and scope night after night and sometimes there's no good place to run an AES50 Cable without it getting beaten up pretty badly either by foot traffic or unobservant event staff in skid-loaders, side-by-sides or even cars. 4/5 times it's not a problem but once in a while it'd be nice if we could just not have to deal with it and risk junking another one, thanks in advance!
Edit: I should mention that I do know that you can use an iPad but we much prefer a real tactile console for Front of House mixing, it's much more intuitive and comfortable.
Hi just been viewing your video's ... nice one. but I have a question: Can you change input No16 to input No1 and then save this so that if a different engineer usually has "kick Drum on Ch1, but I have Vocal1 on Ch1, all I would have to do is "Load" a different settings in rather than re assign everything everytime?. Cheers and hope to hear from you soon.
Like the background.
Hi drew! Is there a way to make a dubbel channel with a trim? So let’s say i have channel 1-16 setup for FOH and channel 17-24 for IEM. So channel 1 and 17 have the the same input. In wanne have a trim to 17-32. Or do i kneed to setup gain and lock the stagebox(S16) and use trim on all channels.
Looking forward to your answer.
Erwin
Nice tutorials but it would be great to see some studio-DAW use cases for the X-32! Not everyone is working in a church or concert environment.
Excellent as always, Drew!! Do you happen to know if Behringer is planning on making the X32 Mix app compatible with V4?
Hi, I'm using the "Mixing Station XM32 Pro" with an Android device. Working fine so far with V4!
Stupid amateur question here, If you do as you showed here, changing the input of 16 to 1- IE 16's input is coming from channel 1, does channel 1 still get the same signal? I would assume it would.
If I was recording 32 tracks, what's the method to also have the routed inputs also go with the recording channels? My understanding is that the recording routing is through the card out, right?
Why aux 6 on my mixer x32 not working, please help me
Hey Drew having an issue getting the software I purchased, is there a better email than the one on your website to get ahold of you?
Can I create stereo input channel from 2 sources? How can I do that, if it's possible?
Hey drew, is there a way to route 2 inputs to a channel (not linking, but using one channel's input fader to blend it into another channel)? For example, to have channel 10's fader movement causing the volume to blend into and out of channel 2? Thanks! :-)
Is Behringer going to be updating their manual to reflect the V4 changes?
Lots of errors in the manual for M32R. They modify the M32 manual for M32R and missed a lot.
Hi thanks for your videos they are very helpful, I have been looking so many videos on how to remove hiss from LR main speakers but there is none for X32, could you help me out.. I know is not just to lower the volume.. I'll appreciated.
Hi Drew, thanks for the videos been very informative to me, was just wondering if there is an update for x32 Edit for V4 firmware for windows 10. Tried checking in bringer.com but cant seem to find. Any leads with this will help.
Thinking about buying an X32/M32 and I use Reaper as my DAW. I know you can hook them up and all..but was wondering if there is going to be a way to perform basic "Transport" controls from the board. Arming Record is the biggie w/ me. Can't find anything online that doesn't look like it was scratched together in someones basement..lol Thx.
Does anyone know if this mixer allows me to upload mixer presets saved in my computer into the console?
When you've linked 2 channels, would any EQ etc. you apply to one channel also apply to the linked channel?
Hi. Checked it out and yes indeed. Everything's linked
Is there a way to increase the output level of the X-LIVE card usb interface?
You need to turn down the main fader to bring down the main speaker sound.
And then you can bring up the channel strip levels and the dca levels.
I have watched 100 videos now on how to hook up a single S16 to a X32 . I have the input part down . I go yo The router page and pick AES60 , 1-8 , The go to AES50 9 - 16 .. That I have . Now what I don't have is HOW do I get the Outputs on the S16 to end up as 1-6 be the Monitor outs for 6 Mixes and then have 7 and 8 end up as my Left and Right ? Now on the back of the X32 by default AUX 1-8 are the monitor sends Then 9 - 13 are more AUXs out , BUT AUX 15 and 16 are by default your House Left and Right . SO HOW do I get 7/8 on the S16 to be 15/16 ? I have a spare S32 and hooked it up to the X32 and it worked great . But the Church I am doing this all for (FREE) Does not have the money to buy the S32 and have to stay with the S16 for now . There has to be a way to route 15/16 to 7/8 of the S16 ... Remember they only have ONE S16 ... WHY the person who sold them the board did that I will never understand . HELP PLEASE ..You can e-mail me @ ctm4metoo@aol.com
Hi Drew, I have a question...I’m a Production Sound Mixer for Film and TV, and I have a X32-Mix producer mixer and a Sound Devices 688 Mixer Recorder that I record all my dialogue in...Now! With the COVID 19 Film Productions are asking the Sound Mixers to move off set in order to keep the body count do, with that said all of my mic receivers will be Onset along with my boom op. That leaves me to run my receivers to me where ever I’m setup at 100 - 200 feet away from set. So I need to build a RF box and run AES50 from it to the X32-Mixer then run an 1 aux channels back to the RF box for Comtek listening...I want to know will the S16 stage box work for me, I would rather use Dante but it’s not in the budget and I can’t find a Dante card for the X32 right now.
Thanks Drew!
Yes the S16 would do the job for you. There is a Dante expansion card for the X32, but it would replace the X-USB card so not a viable solution if you use the X-USB for recording to a computer. www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_x_dante.htm
Hi Sir , I am from india . Please make video of EQ in X32 of indian instrument , like Tabla , Dholak , flute etc. If you do so I am very greatfull to you.
Cheers
I'm not trying to be a d*ck or something. But why would someone plug a mic into Input32 and not Input16 from the start? I am curious about this.
They might not have an xlr connector handy and be using a different type of connector in the aux input.
Having said that. That’s the reason why I’m trying it on my x32 producer. But, after rerouting the aux to channel 17 I still can’t hear it as an input in ableton live daw. I’ll update my firmware and see if that fixes it.
