      @crazyAmazingDesigns I have you same setup excluding the S 16. I am familiar with using the S 32 and the actual X 32 mixer. My question is if I'm just using the SD 16 but I will preferred to use it for AES50 channel 17 to 32 via SD 16 and 1- 16 as local is that possible?

    For those attempting to link two X32's together, it is important to note that the ethernet cable does need to be shielded preferably a shileded Ethercon cable.
    Also one X32 has to have its clock synchronization set to Internal but the second needs to have its timing sync set to AES-A (If using A on both units). You should have a green light on both X32's for AES-A or B if using B port.

    Nice tutorial but for the future I would recommend to start with one StageBox and explain IN and OUT AES50 and then explain connection of multiple StageBox-es.
    However, very helpfull. Thank you.

      Currently this is my only AES50 x32 routing video, but basically you can go to the input page and select AES50-A, 1-8, 9-16, as your inputs to the x32. Connect the A port on the DL16 and to the A port on the x32. DONE! -Nathan

    Hi Nate, thanks for making these videos. 1:30 you mention the band could change the house mix. Are you using the MX-Q app? That is what we use and it only lets the band adjust the mix bus they have selected in the app.

    Tonight, I have no monitor engineer and I'm running the monitors myself. I'm hoping to run the monitors from the FOH console without repatching. Yes I know I can put the AES50A cable going to the stage and plug it directly into my main M32 Live at FOH, but what fun is that?
    I have DL32 on stage with a M32C connected to it's AES50A port. Then on the M32C, I have a M32 Live connected to the M32C AES50B port. I'm in a situation where I want to route the M32 Live outputs (1-16) to the DL32 outputs without physically repatching anything. As far as I understand things, on the AES50-B tab on the M32C, I can use the first two columns (AES50B Outputs 1-8 and AES50B Outputs 9-16). I scroll down and select "AES50A 1-8" and "AES50A 9-16" accordingly. This should now route the AES50B inputs of the M32C to the AES50A outputs on the M32C, which are already routed to the AES50A inputs of the DL32...right?
    For anyone wondering, we already use this system successfully as a dual console Mon/FOH system using the Aux In Re-map method (all outputs on the DL32 are fed from the M32C Monitor console...because technically only one M32 console can interact with the DL32 at a time - though happy to be proven wrong about that).

    • @CrazyAmazingDesigns
      @CrazyAmazingDesigns  Рік тому

      First of all, I had no clue the M32C mixer existed. So Thanks!! To fix your issue, I think you have the AES50-A & AES50-B routing backwards on the M32C. I build a diagram based on how you said this is wired. That I'd love to send you, so please send me an email. If your M32 is connected to the AES50-B port on the M32C. And the DL32 is connected to the AES50-A port on the M32C.
      Then from the AES50-A tab in routing on the M32C, you need to select the inputs AES50-B 1-16, from the m32. -Nathan

    Hello Nathan. Your explanation for this mixer and stage box is the first video to give me a better understanding of how this should work. Thank you. Im still having a little trouble with the outputs on the stage box. I have 2 SD8's wired as you said. My mixer shows Chanels 1-8 (Local inputs) Chanels 9-16 (Local inputs) Chanels 17-24 (inputs are A1-A8) Chanels 25-32 (A9-A16) The problem I am having is that I need output Chanels 7 and 8 on the stage box to act as Monitor outputs (Like "Monitor" on the rear of the console) How do I achieve this?

A problem : I have an sd 16 just like the 8 channel snake u show, but with 16 channels, so every time I connect it to A and A from my x32 to the a port of the sd16 snake,,, but when I connected it to port B of the sd16 it shows a red light, (not the power on light). And the interesting part is that on the. X32 it shows as being connected but nothing works… any suggestions?

      x32 Console AES50-A port -> connects to S16 (A) port. The screen on the x32, the top, should show Green on the AES50-A connection. Port B on the S16 is the output port, you could use it to connect to a second stage box. -Nathan

      I’m gonna need some more info, P16s are the easiest option. Connect multiple of them to the Poe switch and connect the switch to the x32. Now you have a bunch of personal mixers for the band. Each member can plug into there personal mixer and control the mix from the p16.

    Thank you for the informative videos. I have a X32 plus an s16 stage box. Ordinarily I am able to use 2 active FOH (front of hall) speakers on stage, and 2 active FOH speakers set back from stage in a long room (with a bit of delay). But with a band that requires 4 monitors, I have to use one pair for the monitors leaving me with just 2 active FOH stage speakers. So I can swap them out for passive FOH stage speakers using an amp and move the actives to back in the room. How would I route the main mix -- I could use channels 7 and 8 to the passives, but what to do to get the main mix to the actives as well. (Hope I'm clear enough). Outs 1-4 go to monitors on mixbusses 1-4, no problem. outs 5 and 6 could go to actives, and 7 and 8 to passive speakers. (I don't believe you can daisy chain actives off my EAW passives.) So how to duplicate main mix of 7 and 8 to 5 and 6? I'm sure it is probably easy.. thanks!

    • @JimDory

    • @CrazyAmazingDesigns
      @CrazyAmazingDesigns  4 місяці тому

      Hi Jim, On the OUT 1-16 page, this is where you can set the outputs for the Outs 1-4 and 5-8 you have already sent to your S16. Set 5/6 to be Main L/R just like the 7/8. You can daisy chain Active speakers easily, but Passive speaker Amps sometimes don't have a through port. You could use an XLR Splitter cable if it comes to it. -Nathan R (Email me if you still can't get it, or Schedule a Training Call through my website and we can definitively get things working the way you'd like.)

      @@CrazyAmazingDesigns Thanks so much! Easy deal.. works fine. I wasn't sure I would have volume control separate from the other pair of speakers from the board though, so I tried setting 5 and 6 outputs to Matrix 1 and 2 and that also seems to work and gives me volume control. Hopefully doesn't create other issues. Plus your reply made me look at our amplifier, a QSC PLX 3602 power amp that has a parallel Mode. It says "use only one input when operating in Parallel Mode. The remaining input connector can be used for daisy-chaining the signal to other amplifiers. " So perhaps that would work -- just with no board volume control per pair.. but I could always jump up and adjust individual speaker volumes on the speakers. Thanks again!

    Hi Nathan, finally a video that should help me... I find it very confusing using the Edit-Software and see the Editing local at the device. It looks just so different. And: Why do the label the User-Output Category "AES50-A in", when you want actually send something "out"? I think I'm wrong. I spend hours on the x32...Please: I want to send 28 Channels (received from the AES-A Port), and 2 local inputs, the mix busses and Main L/R back on the AES-A Port to my other devices.
    User Out Tab: user out 1-16 to Output 1-16 (because the Stagebox Wiring takes only the 1-16)
    User Out Tab: AES50-A 1-32 to Output 17-48 (will be rerouted in X32R)
    Tab XRL: all 1-16 to User Out
    (Using an X32R as Monitormixer, connected to a S32)
    Thank you for an advice.

      In the USER Inputs section, let's select Channel 1. I'll select "AES50-A Source 1" as the input. Now I'm pulling from "AES50-A Source 1" for Console input 1. In the AES50-A tab it's all about MixBus Outputs to AES50-A. But in the Input tab, or in the USER IN tab when the Inputs tab is set to USER IN. There it's all about AES50-A channel Inputs from stage boxes.

    Hi, how to use a X32 compacto with stagebox WITH FIBER Cable? (same as Dante).

    • @CrazyAmazingDesigns
      @CrazyAmazingDesigns  3 місяці тому

      Hi, You cannot run AES50 over a direct point to point fiber connection from the stage box. If your building is run with Fiber networking that is fine. I would setup a network switch near the x32 compact mixer and connect the switch to the x32. You can then connect the dante card port and the network port to the switch, and the switch to the network. -Nathan R

      On the compact, go to Routing Page. Assuming the S32 is connected via AES50-A on both the compact and the S32. Go to Routing-> AES50-A tab, select 1-8 and 9-16 as Output 1-8 and Output 9-16. That should be all the routing to get Outputs 1-16 to output on the s32. Go to the OUT tab to set what source is set to each output. -Nathan
