Best thing about this. he doesn't overchop like all gospel dudes at his level. That's why he is my fav. And the one of the most musical in my opinion. Phrasing. Not overchopping.
That’s because he’s not a gospel dude. He just also plays gospel. There is a difference.

So solid. Nice work. It's really refreshing to see a drum video that just fits the music. The drums here are on point with just the right amount of fills and beat changes. Not sure if I'm the only one out there getting a little tired of drums videos just slammed with over the top fills and overused gospel chops on every 2 in a 4/4. This is drum talent that i love watching. Your the man Chris.
Best thing about this video is his dedication to staying in the pocket and not over playing this song. Such a great drummer!
He does what is humanly possible on the drums. If he can’t do it, it’s not humanly possible.

Chris Coleman is phenomenal talent and always nailing it with good attitude. Definitely one of my all time favorite drummers! Respect :)
Complexity in simplicity is not so easy but its the goal.
On the money, textural, musical and sensational. Had the pleasure of attending one of his clinics last year and it turned out to be fantastic entertainment from a very serious and deep, yet hugely funny guy. You should hear him play bass!
Great fills, great groove, great sound, super player playing for the track and super guy, what more can you say !
