I already have my barrel .25 STX 600mm. but it's very long I do not like the rifle so long it does not look good for my taste. Can you help me and tell me if I can cut it and put it 18 "of that size I would like my STX, please someone who can help me
Dal Miranda, Do you know how to remove that specific o-ring? And re-install it? ( I'm Not talking about the pellet probe o-ring in the brass portion.) I'm talking about the mystery o-ring that doesn't show up on any Impact schematics. It seals and centers the "X" Liner in the stainless portion of the barrel sleeve. (NOT the 3 O-rings on the liner)The o-ring I'm talking about is located in the stainless portion for the barrel sleeve. (Not the brass portion)
@@toku58No I don't. Accutally I thought you were talking about the pellet probe O-Ring inside the brass part of the barrel. I've seen the others three o-ring that keep liner stable and center in the sleeve, but not the one you are referring to.
Yeah it's an o-ring that doesn't show up on any schematics of the Impact. But Ernest mentions it in his other video about the liner. And I have had first hand experience of having it come out. Had to send my barrel back to FX to have it re-installed.
Ernest, you should change the title of this video to "How to Install a New X Barrel on your Old FX Rifle".

Wouldn't heating it up ruin the internal O-ring in the stainless part of the barrel?
It certainly would! Needless to say they need to be removed before doing this!
