i love how you both don't agree with each other on everything. it makes the reaction more fun? i guess. it's basically like seeing the reaction from 2 different viewpoints. it makes you discussion afterwards fun and interesting.
Taking Eri right then and there would have been an extremely stupid move. Not only are they in public with innocent civilians roaming around, but they have no idea what his quirk is. That's something fans need to remember, these people have powers. They're not like our criminals where you can see they have a pistol loaded and ready, here they would have been leaving it up to chance, which is never a good idea. Either civilians would have been caught in the crossfire or they would have been killed having no knowledge of his power.
Also the possibility that Overhaul could escape and catch on that the heroes are onto him. Which would drive him underground and mean they can't stop his plans.
@@ryanblack9916 They apparently developed a file on him in the time between the first meeting with Eri and the invasion; Nighteye briefed the task force on his abilities prior to even breaching their hideout.
@@ML0694 Yeah. Sometimes it's better to take the 'wait and see' approach before diving in. Gather info on the target and form a way on how to neutralize him with as few casualties as possible.

These two really embody the duality of MHA fans, the ones who want the cool fights and darkness, and the ones who want the kids to say sage and be happy
Actually at this point, nighteyes quirk has never been wrong so everyone believes what he predicts to be true, but what deku meant in this episode is that maybe there is a chance that the future nighteye sees can be changed
These scene with overhaul was way better made in the Manga because we also hear there Deku's inner monologue. Where Lemillion thinks they should stop in order to not cause suspicion by prying in his issues, Deku thinks the exact opposite. No hero wouldn't be suspicious here, and letting this go without asking questions and caring for the girl would tip Overhaul off that he was watched. At this moment, it is a normal encounter for him, one he didn't want, but that was just by chance. Deku's position here is correct, not only does he has to reach out for the girl, but it also would be the absolute wrong move not to question the situation, as it would be the direct evidence a strategist like Overhaul would need to know that he is a target by heros.
Yeah, although I would argue it was well adapted in the anime because we still see that part of dekus thought process, but the scene also flowed very well imo
@@xmant8842 That was his plan though, he didn’t want to let her back with Overhaul. I just didn’t agree with the original poster because it’s obvious that both Mirio and Deku thought the situation was wrong, but Deku was willing to throw the whole plan out of whack impulsively whereas Mirio was trying to play it off as just a coincidence so that Overhaul wouldn’t get defensive, and guess what, he got defensive and if it wasn’t for Eri saving them they probably would have had casualties
This episode is just one of those where something feels different and hits you with emotions so hard. Each time going back and watching this episode, I always teared up(not to mention that I'm also a manga reader). All Might is like a real father for Deku, not only a father figure for him.
Reminder: (this is what Google says) While some may think this is a rather mean nickname, it actually has two meanings. One is rather insulting, meaning “useless” or “good-for-nothing.” However, deku sounds similar to another Japanese word dekiru, which means “can do.” Therefore, depending on who is talking to Izuku, the nickname can mean either.
9:05 Well, recall the last time Deku encountered a villain with an insta-kill quirk in public. Said villain was willing to massacre as many people as possible if he got exposed, so not provoking Overhaul any further was definitely the wisest move in this situation, as much as it may hurt to let Eri go. But don't worry, they'll get their chance to save her after preparing accordingly 😉
I didn't realize it until now, at least, but when Deku ran to All Might at full speed shouting his name (9:35) it's a reference to how all might come out of nowhere saying weird phrases, "I'm here, entering through a side door like an ordinary person !? " in the first three seasons. Now All might just narrate the phrases for Deku 3:39 "Young Midoriya is here !?". 😂 😂
They are unable to take Eri away because Overhaul in police and heroes eyes have done nothing wrong, that's why nighteye is looking into it because they know they are doing wrong but don't have proof so taking Eri away would have just gotten Deku arrested for kidnapping
If you helped Eri on that time he might kill all of you and all the people around,In the worst case he might kill Eri too. You didn't even know about his quirk and how strong he is.Rescue someone with no information is a bad move cause you might put a hostage or even an innocent into dangerous thing and Jisaki is head of the group you can predict how dangerous he is right?
let's goooooo btw. this episode was so sad and wholesome and everything imo it nearly made me cry btw. I personally wouldn't like to know when it's gonna happen. I already know I'm not gonna live for long, so I actually don't care when I'm gonna die.. if that makes sense.. ? (no disease or something like this is involved in this, so the time is still limited maybe farther in the future). So.. that's it.. Nighteye can rest his quirk for now :D
This is the type of world where some people just have horns for no real reason. There was a newscaster with two horns, one broken. Also those things on Mina's head. Not sure what those are for.
Deku have intelligence , morals and a sense of justice besides he is quirkless ....... Mirio having a quirk with inheriting one for all maybe so much on him and any one else
I'm with her. If I had a possibility to find out if I die soon, I'd rather not know. Ignorance is bliss and all that, and people can die literally every day, so it's like it's urgent news. (Unless someone was planning my murder and I could prevent it or something, but that's not exactly how Nighteye's quirk works.)
Overhaul is straight up a bad dude, and I hate what he does to Eri, but, I love his backstory, and he's the most compelling, terrifying villain in MHA, his determination to do whatever it takes to preserve the Yakuza in a time where they're being pushed out is something I can't help but respect.
1. Though saving Eri on the spot is very heroic, it's also not the right thing to do at the moment. Aside from them not knowing what's his quirk, there's high risk that they could attract the public's attention, and that civilians close by could be harmed if the fight suddenly ensues. (Aside from that they're are still investigating the involved personality.) 2. I guess for me, I wouldn't agree on what Midoriya suggested. Asking Nighteye again is quite cruel for Nighteye too. What if he sees the same outcome even in different circumstances? Seeing the person you look up to die in your foresight is so sad, but make it twice cause you did it again. And yeah, It's better not to know when or how you'll die. There's a big chance you'll get anxious than accepting death, especially if you have some reason to live for.
