I really hope this game does not die. There's no similar gameplay exp out there. Simple-fast-hella fun. The only thing that could save it is promoting between the community and outsiders and wiple fixing stuff.
Good video mate 👍🏼 Like you I played the Aerial version early on and got hooked. Think I got to about level 200-ish. I was in the lucky (geographic) position to be able to play both the Aerial version and the newer "Asia" version as it was known at the time (and later became the global version). At this point Steam is telling me I've got almost 1400hrs in the Steam/Asia version.... Oh damn! 🤔😆
Thanks for the kind words! On Steam it says I have ~980 hours but for sure if I had access to my numbers on the Aeria version it'd probably be a lot higher. But yeah, I WANT Ironsight to be successful, but with so many things going against it and lack of communication from the developers, I worry about it. Here's to hoping!
@@Jolt831 I've been close with the developers for a number of years now (I run the Ironsight subreddit, plus am a mod and official on the Discord) so try to pass on any new developments to the community (when I'm allowed to). They may reply here (they do watch the subreddit, which is where I also found this video), but otherwise I will politely raise the concern from the community and see how things are going if you like?
@@slinkywizard YES! Please do. While I'm sure they have internal data which shows things aren't looking great right now, having concerns be raised by the community, as well as maybe having them do a "State of the Game" post which addresses what they're currently working on right now/reason for lack of updates and communication, what new content will arrive (e.g: maps, modes, perks & drones), their plan to marketing the game/reinvigorating the playerbase, and answering other player concerns would do wonders.
I remember playing ironsight a long time ago with a bunch of friends.. we’d have 3 teams ready to cycle in private matches. Last i checked i couldnt even download this on steam anymore.. sad
The reason why you couldn't was because that was the Aeria Games version of Ironsight which shut down. Here's the Steam link to the online, still working Ironsight version. store.steampowered.com/app/783770/Ironsight Cheers!
Have you tried playing the game Friends vs Friends? Its a really unique indie fps game that fell for some of the same things that Ironsight did as well. It has a great gameplay loop, feels great to play, but 0 marketing, low updates, in this case being due to a dev team of 10 people, and a host of other issues led to it being a slowly bleeding game, but is still really fun.
Do you think Ironsight was doomed from the start? Let me know below!

Agreed! There's greatness and a special quality to this game you can't find (or really match) anywhere else.
bo2 is the same
Ironsight is fun, enjoy hopping on it from time to time… feels closer to the arcade shooter COD once was than what COD is doing nowadays
I love the classic 'just right' feeling of the game, not too fast but not too slow

I've heard of it but haven't played before, might give it a try sometime in the future
Friends vs Friends is fun asf
Game looks fun as hell. Dose it support controller on PC
It sure it a lot of fun! And the game DOES have partial controller support if I recall correctly
Don't feel bad about the game dying, last time I played it I remember it being pay to win.
I don't recall Ironsight ever being pay to win or have anything remotely close to it. Can you explain what you mean by that?
Same
