Looks far better in the metal, and after a week on the wrist, wears more comfortably than any diver I've had from The Crown (sub, seadweller 43 and deepsea inlcuded) - I will say it did take some adjustment of half links several times before I got it just right. Great size. Hands are legible in all lighting conditions, and at practically any angle. The dial has character, but isnt flashy. Same with the bezel and case. I bought a few aftermarket straps, fully intending to put them on by now, but I just can't force myself to take it off of the bracelet. I am surprised how much I love the bracelet, having said many times that the Rolex oyster, specifically the glidelock version for their divers, is the best bracelet I have ever experienced. I don't want to say that it is better, but I will say that I do not miss the oyster when I am not wearing it. Glidelock is great, but when the bracelet fits very well in the fully closed position on the 300 heritage diver, the extension is just enough to give some relief when your wrist swells. One last thing I think that needs to be mentioned, is that people should do themselves a favor, me included, and stop obsessing over measurements before they try on a watch. Especially thickness. If you account for the crystal being domed, and the bit of the caseback that bubbles on the bottom, which fits into the crease of my wrist when wearing the watch with the bracelet properly sized, this watch does not seem chunky or top-heavy. At more than a mm thicker than a sub, I can tell you that the optical allusion created by the polished slab-sided case of the sub makes it appear to be taller than it is. With the thin, curvy and brushed mid-case of the 300, it appears thinner than the total height suggests. Bottom line: whenever possible, try the watch on before you write it off or decide on buying. I will not weigh in on the lume color as it is such a personal thing, and there really isn't a right answer. I will say, however, that modern materials do not fade for the most part, and even if they did, I am too old and impatient to wait for the lume to age. I love denim, and although it sounds nice to buy completely raw jeans and let them fade perfectly over time, it is also not completely practical given our modern use cases. As much as I'd love to be a one watch, and one pair of jeans guy, I am not. So I do not beat myself up for buying goods that sometimes appear to be pre-distressed... Thanks for the review, man. Your enthusiasm is infectious.
Just picked up mine from AD! Fantastic watch. I've had previous gen (2014) and it was great, but with certain features that may not have been well designed and executed. All these small and somewhat negligible shortcomings have now been corrected with this generation and I can say that this is now a phenomenal watch! It can easily be the only watch a man has in collection.
When I see a pre-owned one of these out in the wild I won’t be able to resist. I have the SMP Diver but I’m really starting to love everything Omega has to offer as a watch company. They’re just a solid watch and the Diver was my first, I don’t have many watches but I get couple I can’t stay away from.
@@travisjames1263 its a great watch and I picked it up for 50% off RRP which was a steal. I also picked up a black nato strap which adds another level of variety.
Lovely watch and highly underrated in the Omega lineup as the SMP gets all of the attention. One thing - did you make the analogy saying owning an E-type Jaguar is under the radar? lol
Nice vid guys. Was looking forward to this one as I am considering this one as next buy. Also could you REVIEW Cartier Santos Large Blue & White comparison. Pleaseeeeeeeee 🙏🏽✌🏽👍🏽😁
Nice video, went to try one recently as I love everything about this watch. However, sadly it just looked a little small for my 8 inch wrist. Pulled the trigger on a pro 300 in white instead, which was also on my list. Very pleased with it , so much for the money.
I like your reviews despite what some people say. The raw review is sometimes what I look for rather than an in-depth minutiae review which saturate UA-cam. Keep up the good work.
This is definitely a watch to see and try on the metal as it looks so good on the wrist, and that isn’t always picked up on video. I was looking at getting the black to go with my year old blue 300m, but on seeing the lovely very dark blue I’m struggling to decide.
Great video mate! How 'tough' would you say this OMEGA Seamaster 300 2021 is? I have a Speedmaster (Hesalite) which is perfect for office and dinner settings but I does not feel like I can take it on hikes or to the beach or even in the rain ;D. Am hoping to get this Seamaster in black on bracelet for my more outdoorsy days.
Thank you Sir! The glass being sapphire crystal is definitely more durable. Personally for my outdoors watches i stick with Rubber or Nato straps, it helps resist general wear and tear!
I have mine on a nato and I’ve already banged in on a lot of stuff. I nailed it so hard a few weeks ago on metal bracket sticking out from a door that it left a deep gash in the lug. Kept its usual +0.3 second a day. It’s only one example but maybe that helps you a little. It’s definitely tough as far as shock resistance.
@@777ivandiaz Ahhh that's great to hear. Can't wait to get this. Nice to not worry for once! Currently got my speedy hesalite on and I'm hyper aware of everything HAHA.
Great review (as always Harrison!!) I’m in a bit of a pickle…between the Seamaster 300 and Longines Spirit Zulu time, so need a review of the latter please 😃
Is the bracelet solid or hollow? My 300 version is platinum is very heavy, I might need to get steel version to daily wear. I had a world timer aqua terra but the bracelet was too light for the watch and i sold it off for a substantial loss LOL
@@tduhpohylnvrz the platinum is solid. i can wear it now, turns out i injured my wrist and i had to get a steroid injection. But before that shot that watch was killing my wrist. i have an explorer 2 and that has hollow links, very comfortable to wear. Most rolexes were hollow before 2010, so its not really a clown thing. It keeps the wearability high by keeping weight near 150g. over 270g for gold and 330 plus for platinum is a different wear, i dont have alot of fat so my skin gets bruised. i dont wear rubber bands since rubber deteriorates and i want to keep it original and in the family forever.
@@gmshadowtraders Also it would be interesting to See if the blue ones fade over time into a bit more lighter blue- would look absolutely stunning then! A ceramic wont fade- which imho is a downside as faded watches just have character and Tell a story
The color of the lume is done well on this in person the only part I’m not a fan of is the sandwich numerals. Leave that to panerai the printed numerals looked much better. Even the proportion of the numerals is better and closer to the original but also no reason for them to be open like that. I wish the seamaster trilogy had this color lume instead of the darker shade they went with
@@ChisholmHunterOfficial that's exactly the decision I'm looking to make as well. Currently own the BB58 and am considering flipping it for this. Thoughts?
They should've done it in 38/39mm with the non-date 8800 movement. Missed a trick there, I think. They completed discounted people with wrists smaller than 6.5".
Dude’s 24 and realizes he’s just starting his journey towards maturity… if we men can ever be truly mature, that is. 😂 Glad to see a zoomer who isn’t just posting bathroom selfies on instagram. To the matter at hand, I just bought my first Omega and it’s this Seamaster in blue. It’s beautifully understated and classy; really well executed! At least that’s what this non-watch-guy thinks, anyway.

For my tastes, this is the most beautiful watch in Omega’s lineup right now. Love it.

Got my blue one 4 weeks ago and loving it! You’re gonna enjoy it so much!
The first gen had the male end links and really made the fit terrible and the fit much bigger than it actually was
I have a Speedmaster and a Globemster. This is the Seamaster that'll be joining the collection.
Great choice! A classic looking peice.
I have the blue version of this watch to go with my very first omega 300 bond watch that I bought in 1996

I’m the same. 22cm wrists. Love the watch but too small
Exact two watches I was choosing between. Went with the blue 300. You’re right that it definitely looks smaller than the 41mm would indicate.
Same boat here with large wrists and went with the black dial smp on a bracelet.

No. It is in keeping with the vintage vibe. Not everything is about look at me look at me. This is all about class and sophistication.

13.85, and only because of the domed crystal.
