Greetings from Germany, fellow Maidiac. How fast can a band switch genres? Look at this and you know it: Punk, Pop, Prog, Hard Rock and even Jazz crammed in a 4.30 minute long masterpiece. I expect great things coming in their future .... and maybe a tour for us starving Europeans. 😭😭😭😭
The measure of a band is no longer how long they can last. It is do they continue to improve and bring new and different to their catalogue. Band Maid has not only achieved that they have smashed it to bits.
Band-Maid loves taking us on these roller coaster rides with their music. They are NEVER boring! You just wonder where you can catch your breath. I'm just kidding, but it took the Who an entire album to create a "rock", Band-Maid did the same damned thing in four and a half minutes.
And neither a guitar or bass solo in the whole song. Did you miss it? No. Just Miku's little chromatic descension down the neck. Brilliant clip too. Love the hand & shadow images.
Yep, the riff monster Minchozilla has struck again. 🤭 A song that fits the name of the album perfectly in terms of title and sound! It's amazing how, despite their already high achieved standard, they still continue to develop and/or never stop surprising you, like with this little jazzy section. ❤🔥🤘🏻 _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Love this. The changes that they do during the song - tempo, genre, dynamics, etc. - definitely keep you on your toes and make the song that much more interesting.
You've not heard all their songs yet, but I have and, while I acknowledge the possibility of recency bias, this in my top 10. Masterpiece. (Yes Band-Maid have over 10 masterpieces.)
Forbidden Tale gives you just a taste of what to expect from the rest of Epic Narratives. The album definitely lives up to its name, it is awesome in every way.
Said it before I'll say it again, this band is musically fearless and the Maids are determined to stand or fall on their own terms, that's so admirably fcken fierce. What a band Po 👍🍻
It's absolutely uncanny... and the fact that they haven't yet failed, means that every song you hear has bigger stakes than the last one. Their streak of success is just... ... they need to make a terrible song. Intentionally. To break the tension!
Band-maid never misses, every song is great to epic. Interesting news for them, The day this album released Sept 25th, is also the day they ended their contract with their management company and now operate under their own company MAIDIT. It will be great to see what comes next.
My favourite from the album so far but that could well change. Tamaya has really grown on me. The One is also fantastic but I'm not really a slower tempo guy in the main tbh. Toi et Moi also brilliant. Frankly, I prefer all these tracks to those previously released from this album and I loved most of them already (Bestie aside). Quite the achievement really. All hail B-M!
"Tamaya" is suddenly a dark horse favorite in the last couple days and I love it because that's one (along with "Easy" and "Top") that hasn't clicked for me - _yet._
The songs already released earlier in the year are just Band-Maid awesomesauce! The six new songs are so tightly integrated and complex, it's going to take a Tokyo minute to assimilate. But I already love Forbidden Tale, and especially The One. 😉🤘 btw - We should all wish a "Good Luck" to Band-Maid's new self-run management company: Maidit, Co., LTD! Thx, Ross!
In all their greatness and glory :) . Listen closely to Saiki's lyrics ... the story is that Dany from The Warning gave her some tips for English singing ... or it may just be that she has done a lot of work on her own. Either way the English parts sound very much improved ... I used to have to wish for subtitles :p . If its even possible the girls look even more confident :) .

Absolutely incredible band and hey let's loop in an Australian tour also, cheers Po 👍🍻

So, ranking coming in 2027 🤣
Hey, don't rush him :p .
LMFAO
😮 my reaction
How does Kanami keep coming up with original Kick-Ass riffs?

Do you think Dany taught her the 'Take me now' part? ;) hehe
So you'll get to rank this in about 2027? Maybe.
Sorry, Rock Opera
Yeah, but if you had to rank it now...
Compare this to your first ranking song Be OK. They're about as far apart as you can get.
