Finding GINGERS in the American National Art Collection

A hasty trip around DC to find the vital paper background to unify ten years of Ginger portraits. Then to the National Gallery to find art historical Gingers. With cameo from the actual President's motorcade, the Apostle Paul and baby Jesus (sculpture).

Not sure if this is a stupid questions… Why do you take the pictures against a brown backdrop, but then the final versions have a black background?

Although I’ve just noticed some of them do look brown. So I’m guessing ‘lighting’…?

Not stupid at all. The backgrounds should be dark brown rather than black. It’s subtle but it should be there to see in most of them. Thanks for the question.
