    1,830miles in 58 days is approx 32 miles per day. On stilts. Eat your heart out, Eddie Izzard!

      But each step would be much longer than normal, so stilts may be an advantage both in distance and speed. (Meep meep.....wrooooom) 🦩

    I'm sure that I read somewhere that much of Gascony was a poverty stricken in the 19th century and many of the population took to their beds for long periods over the winter to minimise their food requirements.

    Leyland's 6 mile Southof Preston ...... We never had stilts
    We did have LOTS of busses
    But Corgis with a machine fetish weren't allowed near 'em

    Paris to Moscow: only 1,830 "puny english miles". So short a distance, yet when any army tries to acomplish the same thing most of continental europe ends up dead.
