Welcome back! I so enjoy your Advent (and Lent) videos. They are so inspiring and thought provoking. I especially enjoy the prayers that you invite us to follow along with you - they are so heartful - and powerful. Thank you.
My dad passed away on Tuesday and the week has been tough preparing for his funereal mass next Sat. Thank you for helping me calm my mind and heart as I tok some time for silence amongst the pain and loss as I begin advent.
My heart goes out to you, dear friend in Christ. May God carry you every step of the way, in the holy Name of our Lord Jesus. Just take one day, one moment at a time. God is with you in every one of those moments 🥺❤️🙏🏼🕯🕊🕯🙏🏼

I would love to see Ascension do more content related to the disruptive role of technology in our lives and how it impacts our faith. It feels like we are all so addicted to our phones that we can no longer find the motivation to live out our faith fully. In particular I think that what is most concerning is that many of us have lost the ability to productively contribute to combating social injustices in our society which we are called to do as Catholics. We would rather just scroll all day, or at best make a social media post about the issues impacting our brothers and sisters then roll up our sleeves and contribute in a meaningful way. Please consider making more content on this broad topic!

Dear Father Mark Toups, I specifically ordered the Advent journal and am very grateful for your writings and teaching. I was fortunate that our parish does a retreat during Lent. Thank you father, I'm glad you're back. I have been struggling with silence and Mystic prayer for a couple years, I need your help and your prayers.
Only just watched this beautiful video! By the grace of God, I hope to fill this final week of Advent with this program and learn and grow in some way despite having such little time left. Feeling totally overwhelmed right now😢 but I pray that God, in His mercy and goodness will help me and all those like me so that we can be ready in all ways, especially in our hearts, minds and most of all our souls, for Christmas. Thank you so much for this Rejoice program this Advent! I think it's funny that the message about silence was followed with a prayer accompanied by MUSIC! Lol. We are all just noise addicts at this point. Such a great message! I am really looking forward to digging into the Rejoice journal now! Thank you to Ascension and Father Toups!

I remind myself that my Creator does not owe me that. He grants me instead the gift of faith and trust in Him, as well as His Holy Catholic Church.
