Thanks for another great video. I can hardly believe the reasonable prices you charge for your fine products. I’ve been a WRC customer for a little over a year. I recently sold my extensive Buddipole kit in favor of your WRC Center loaded TIA. I never pass up the opportunity to applaud your system on Facebook and other ham radio resources. I’m placing an order today for the dual collar accessory. MikeinMinnesota N0WDM

I was able to get 20/40m working with dual coil and my rigexpert 600, but 40/80m I could not get at all so set for 80m and slid high band collar off the top coil.

Thinking as if it were a fan dipole, why couldn't you just attach a second lead and just change the radio and of course whichever lead that is best in tune shouldn't the radio see it and ignore the other? I have all three of your coils.

Funny that I dreamed of something similar last night.

Just curious, but why shouldn't it work with both hooked up at once, like a fan dipole the signal should just ignore the non-tuned one while going to the tuned one ? Maybe not, but just a thought?

Really a great product! I got mine from you at the Shelby NC hamfest. Like one of the other comments. You really get a lot for what you pay! I can see a multi tap version in the future.

Do you use a base loaded coil in your car...but mid loaded coil for portable use? How much do you lose going from mid load to base load?

Very nice! Have you given thought to band gauge to help set band tuning? Hope to see you again at HAMcation Orlando! KX4EZ

You'll have to check into Midcars some time. Love to see what a difference it makes .N8TUW

That's a hot idea! Have you tried 3? (20m, 40m and 80m?) Thanks! Looking forward to trying it on my coil! 73 de w8tam

Great idea. We have be researching many different configurations with 3 collars, but three do not resonate properly. But a 2-collar system works great.

Does this have the new clips after march 2020 ?

I had heard on another video that the coils diameter was too narrow for great work on 80 meters - the idea being that the small diameter translated into a very high Q. I don’t understand why this would be the case. Does coil diameter - independent of other factors affect Q ?

I have found the bandwidth on 80m very narrow also.

john, i used 80m mobile and the sb1000 while parked but I use my rigrunner to set the collar to my desired freq first bc it's true that it's narrow (ssb). 73, kk4zuu

I've been looking at these coils for a while now and can't find anyone who can speak to experience with it for a mobile application on a vehicle

Wouldn't the top be 10m for a 102" whip or is some of the coil still in play? Thanks!

    • @davidm1635
      @davidm1635 2 роки тому

the website tells you for 10m, do not use the collar, slide it down off the bottom (being careful of things that enter/exit the cavity). 73, kk4zuu

@@davidm1635 if you pull the collar off you have no electrical circuit to the whip?

Is there a limit to the number of them I can put on my coil. I have the highest power coil, don't think that makes any difference for the number of sliders on the coil. I was thinking of a Red, White, blue, black. 80,40,20, and 10 meters. I don't think I could do two bands close to each other, but I don't know. Just a thought. de W4DES

Why I didn't think of that. I will be ordering two collars maybe three soon.

Some here has commented that 3 collars are not so good.
